This is just an early review, I have not worn them for any length of time yet. They are not as heavy as the previous model, but are light weight and more flexible. Im not sure if they are as warm as the previous model. Pay close attention to the carhartt sizing chart. In the previous model, I wore a large, in these I were a medium. Im returning mine for the right size. And this time i 'll probably order the ones with the wool, assuming they are warmer.

Bought these to use as an alternative to fleece lined work pants. Much prefer these as it provides more flexibility, yet keeps you warm. They fit well and pair with my canvas work pants. I particularly like the idea that if the weather warms up enough, I can simply take them off, whereas with lined pants, you 're stuck unless you keep an additional pair of pants with you. These launder well too. The seams in them are placed well so there's no `` tugging '' or tightness. To me, they 're a great cold weather investment.

4. 0 is the best base layer for the price. My kids are competitive skiers in the Northeast. Our winters are harsh and with windchill the temperatures can drop below zero. Using these 4. 0 as base layers helps to keep their heat from escaping. They hold up well through washing and the boys playing/lounging in them after skiing too. These are amazing! We love them. ❤️ My dad got my husband and I both a set for Christmas like 10 years ago or more. They are still in perfect condition. We use them for hunting, playing in the snow or anytime we have to be outside for long periods of time in the cold. When I go hunting and it's super cold or wind chill of- 15. I wear mine, my husband's and my under armour sweat pants under my hunting bibs. No need for a heater at all. My son told me he needed some bigger under layers so I automatically ordered him this set. He is going to be so excited when he gets the Christmas morning. If you have multiple children you definitely need to get these. They are such a good quality and will last for years if they are taken care of. The adults sizes are pretty unisex in the bottoms. The woman's top seems to be a little more fitted for the breast.

I ask for duofold wool and cotton combos, but they are impossible top find anymore. Ny wife gave me two pairs of the Platinum II Pants from ColdPruf for Christmas. They have the same insulation value as the duofold but are less bulky, and much more comfortable due to the merino wool. I like these better than my underarmor, too, easier on and off. [ I am an avid walker and must have my daily jaunt or I will go bonkers. I have hiked in all weather from the cold sub temps of Minnesota to the rainy and windy winters of Texas. Having warm thermals are essential. Searching online reviews, Smartwool keeps popping up. My wife and I bought two sets each of tops and bottoms and she just simply loved them instantly When ever the temp dips she gleefully pulls on her Smartwool NTS and a shell and she is out the doors. The material is just the right thickness and the seams are well hidden. It instant warms the body and as claimed, do not smell after a few uses As for durability we have to wait and see. We have other woolen garments and we can see these products appear to be durable. No regrets buying them but regrettably the color choices are limited due to stocks available.

Like the feel of this LS tee. Can use it as a base layer or by itself on cooler days. I personally used it for an outdoor run and felt great. One thing though… while the fabric is intended to wick sweat out, I did notice the tee being soaked so not sure I ’ ll be taking it out for runs again. The length of the tee is also a little short so consider that if interested in this shirt.
