'' Because I live in an arid region, I use these mostly in winter for backcountry ski touring, layered over a pair of thermal bottoms. Finally! An amazing pair of black technical parachute pants. I ’ m 5 ’ 6 ” 155lb and normally a 8/10 or 29/30 waist pant. I ordered a M and a L to see which ones I liked best and ended up keeping both. The M is definitely more practical for hikes since it ’s less fabric but the L has a more balloon leg effect that is just really cool and oversized. The material is a bit thicker than I thought. I wish there was an additional side pocket but otherwise these are great!

Took these on a trip around the Colorado four pass loop. As is typical, we got caught in an afternoon storm at 10, 000 feet and suited up. Pants kept us dry from the rain and wete sufficiently breathable for 2 hours of rainy hiking. They are definitely pants to put on BEFORE it rains because the ankle zips do n't accommodate footwear too well. But I knew that going in. Zippers are fail points for waters so we elected to minimize the water ingress points. Tl; dr kept us dry. Breathed well for intense, medium duration active wear

This is my first Fjallraven pair of trousers. I 've previously bought from other outdoor brands. Pros: Material seems high quality and very breathable even with long johns underneath. It feels durable and the stitching is immaculate. It has a lot of ventilation pockets and deep storage pockets. Deep pocket placement is great so items wo n't poke you while walking or squatting/sitting. The ankles are slightly flared so thick socks and boots can fit comfortably. They also have buttons so you can do a tighter fit. It is comfortably high waisted and makes movement smooth/easy. I have a curvy figure and the fit is very flattering. No crotch seam. Cons: there are questionable too many seams, which squeeze on you when squatting or bending the knee, but the pants may be flexible because of the seams. It is not a stretchy material so your size is very important. It hugs your waist, so it is not easy to put the pants on as a curvy person. Once it's on, it feels like a second skin though. It does run small. I was hoping a large would let me wear a base layer, but it just barely fits. With the amount of seams, a base layer will probably protect your skin from seams digging in. Will update once I take it out for a few weeks.

Finally, the absolute perfect pair of pants!! I am so excited! I have long been obsessed with the Ferrosi fabric, and joggers are my favorite style of pants. They are legitimately the most comfortable and functional pants I 've ever owned and I hope they make so many more colors. I fluctuate between the 16 and 16W sizes in the regular Ferrosi pants, and the XL in the joggers fit me perfectly. I could also probably wear the XXL but they 'd be significantly looser than the model in the pic and I like them a little form fitting. I would say to size down if you 're in between sizes unless you want them baggy. The drawstring waist is so comfy and non- restrictive, and the cuffs hit right at the ankle of my 5'10 '' frame. They are the perfect amount of stretchy but hold their shape, they 're super breathable and water resistant, and honestly more comfortable than most of my pajama pants! Way to go OR!

The most comfortable waistband. It has some type of very soft liner in the waistband that is a treat. Yes, these are a little higher- waisted then my other outdoor joggers, but it works because you can easily and comfortably, roll down the waistband without bulk. They repel water, brush clean and are not stinky! The fit also stays true- no stretch or pilling. I am in love with these. I am 5 ’ 4 apple shaped and normally wear a 20W pant. These fit perfectly. The material is light and soft, the length is perfect with boots since I have a 29 inch inseam, and there ’s even some stretch over time. I ’ m so so happy& would/will probably buy again.

Great material, I like all the improvements done to the pockets and to the roll up legs. Material is a little thinner than past models but this only improves the fit and stretch. They are still very durable. Great fit and very comfortable. Should be noted that these are sized a little differently, They are a whole size smaller than my Halle Pants from previous seasons, but both my size 18 and size 20 fit exactly the same! Minor issue, the pants themselves go from hiking to office casual with ease. I will never stop buying these so long as they fit me.;)

[ Very useful for those days when the temps will swing a lot. Maybe you are starting activities early in the morning when it's cold but will be out as it gets hot and want to remove the legs of your pants to have shorts instead. Or perhaps you are hiking and going up a mountain and know it will get much colder as you proceed, and will want to change from shorts to pants. These are comfy for any such activities. My only complaint is that I think these run a bit small. I wear a medium in most pants and shorts( including shorts from Marmot), but these are pretty tight on my curvier butt and legs.

For context I am 5 ’ 3 ” 130 lbs with a small waist but a large bum. I ’ m a typical size SMALL in most all brands for both tops and bottoms. I originally purchased the size small and was dismayed at how large they were on me! But the length was perfect. I think ever since Mountain Hardwear was purchased by Columbia?, the sizing has become inconsistent. Luckily it seems that the quality of material is still there. I then purchased the XS. The fit seemed like it would be tight, but once I pulled it over my bum, fits comfortable and snug- however- the length is noticeably shorter- almost like “ petite ” sizing, which is disappointing. I will keep this pair though, as I mentioned, they are still good quality pants for winter!

These are the most versatile winter pants I 've ever owned. The combination of breathable and fleecy warm fabric makes them wearable while traveling and perfect for most any winter adventure when you arrive. I 've worn them cross country skiing, snowshoeing, winter hiking, kayaking, and on the plane home. Layer on rain pants and and you' r good for almost any winter conditions. I use these pants when hiking and camping in cold/damp weather. The fleece liner feels so comfy against the legs, and the outer shell is durable. These pants are extremely flattering, but I am not a curvy girl... I 'm more straight- shaped. I could see why a curvy figure would have some issues with the waistband. I am in the outdoors all the time for work, and these are a go- to pair for me in the colder and shoulder months. I will be buying more.

I previously bought OR's Methow legging and loved them too, but these pants are even better. They are nice and stretchy, just like the Ferossi pants, but with fleece lining to keep you warm when cold weather hiking. I love the fit-- they have a slightly high waist, which was not obvious to me from the pictures, and I like that so much better than the low rise I find on most hiking pants. Another reviewer complained about the fit, but for me, a more curvy gal, the fit was perfect. I also love the side pockets, including one zippered one. They stretch a bit when wearing them so if you are between sizes, considered the lower size. I will definitely be ordering another pair and wearing these throughout the winter.
