It is so comfortable and the fabric is super soft and lightweight. It was truly thought out in the design to have the more breathable fabric under the arm to keep you from feeling over heated during your run. I did get to wear this in some misty/light rain and I stayed dry the entire time. My favorite thing about this jacket is definitely the material. It is different from anything I currently own. The one thing I was a little annoyed with was the front zippers have these nice toggles to grip on to. But the side pockets are just tiny metal traditional toggles that I found hard to open using one hand, not even running. Overall all I think this is a perfect jacket for an all season runner and will even be wearing this to run errands as I think it also just looks sharp.

The sleeves were not too short and were not too long, they were just right! While this jacket is thin, it provides more warmth than you ’ d expect. When I was moving out on a cool night, it was very comfortable — both the fit and the temperature. I did notice once I stopped it was a bit warm for me after a workout. The look of the jacket to me seems like something a runner would wear. Outside of exercising, I ’ d be willing to wear it casually, but probably not if I was on a date or somewhere that I wanted to impress. The quality seems really good and it ’s what I ’ ve come to expect from this brand.

This jacket is better in person than it is online. I purchased this specifically for traveling in the fall when there might be periods of rain. I needed a jacket that would provide warmth as well as protection from the rain. I have previously purchased a carhartt jacket with the description of a `` loose fit '' so I was familiar with sizing. I puchased the large and it is a perfect fit. I have to pay attention to measurements and sizing since I have a very full bust. Not only is it a perfect fit, I am also able to wear it over a medium weight hoodie if I should happen to need extra warmth. I tend to `` run cold '' so warmth is always a concern for me. My previous option to tackling the rain in chilly weather, was to wear a down jacket and then put a lightweight rain jacket on top of that. Peeling off the layers became very annoying when wet. This jacket should be a perfect solution for me. I am only 4' 11 '' and although I have short arms, the sleeves on this jacket are just fine. The velcro allows you to adjust how snug you need the wrist opening to be and I am able to adjust it so it provides protection and a comfortable fit. I chose the color black as it just works best for the color palette I gravitate towards. The interior and exterior pockets are great. There is an exterior zip pocket to the left of the zipper on the upper chest area, you will find it where the carhartt logo is located. My phone fits in here perfectly and makes for easy access when needed. The partial elastic at the waist provides a feminine touch and makes the jacket look less boxy. You have the side zippers and snap closure on each side at your upper thigh area if you should need a bit more width to the jacket. This might make it more comfortable when sitting, but for me, as I will be actively walking when wearing the jacket, keeping them zipped and snapped closed will provide more protection from the rain. It is definitely heavier than the packable/stowaway rain jacket I currently have, but as stated, I needed more warmth and not just rain protection. I 'm not terribly `` rough '' on clothing so I anticipate this jacket will last me for quite some time.

Got to try this jacket out in an early season ride in Colorado. For was perfect, a little baggy but not to much. I used it without the puffy. The puffy will be super warm when the temps drop and I like that I can take the outer layer off and keep in the puffy if I go to dinner afterwards. The jacket kept me warm and dry all day.
