I work outside throughout the winter and the hardest thing to do is keep my fingers warm when it gets 20 degrees or less. I decided to try these mittens for the times I do n't need fingers( gloves). They are excellent. I added a Hot Hands hand warmer to each mitten and they kept my fingers toasty. Doing astrophotography in Arches in 21 degree weather taught me that I 'll need to add another layer and use hand warmers with these. They were fine while the blood was pumping, but when it came to waiting around, my fingers got numb. They would be perfectly fine for anything above 32 degrees. These were bought for snowboarding, and I was worried after the first trip when one of the pull tabs seemed to have broken. However, the he tab was meant to be easily adjusted/replaced and I was able to clip it right back in place. These are warm for cold days on the mountain and durable.
