I 've been wearing UA cold gear from twenty years ago but these will definitely keep the cold out! Definitely can wear them for snowboarding, sports in extreme weather, or even motorcycle riding to keep your leg muscles intact unconsciously that I sometimes forget that I was wearing one! I got these online to use as work pants. The elastic waistband and drawstring secured them pretty well. The material is rugged, but not rigid. They seem like they 'll wear decently over time. They are also just killer pants to wear /bike around town. The fabric is really durable but has enough stretch to accommodate movement( climbing, bouldering in the gym, riding a bike, stretching, etc). The fit is a little bit tight; most people will probably find them to be a nice athletic fit( and fine with the stretch) but if you have thighs like pistons they might be too tight. This is my second pair, the first pair are still doing great except the pocket liners wore out. Hopefully that durability issue has been solved. While minor, it has been annoying.

[ Mainly use it to climb, but also go out to the bar or hang with some friends. Stretch is great, never had a problem mobility in terms of these pants and usually climb in them pretty often. Only downside is the 1st pair I had wore out around the crotch area but nothing a iron on patch ca n't fix.

Don ’ t know what these negative reviews are about. I have a newer pair with zipper and they ’ ve performed as they ’ re suppose to- as a Jean- not as a trekker or hard wearing pant. If you want something more serious go with vidda pro or similar as no they won ’ t be the most comfortable for trekking hiking or mountaineering.

These are without a doubt the best pair of pants I ’ ve ever had. I ’ d buy 10 more pairs if I could. Problem is I can ’ t. Because fjallraven made the smart decision of discontinuing the Greenland jeans in regular sizes and now only come in talls. Reason? They said it would just be easier for them to have tailored in store. Another problem, stores are far and few. I only have 1 store in my entire state. And the tailor usually isn ’ t there. Why discontinue perfection it makes no sense. Anyway I made the long trip of going to the store and buying a pair of longs to have sized, but was really upset as the overall pant size is different on the longs, the leg pocket rests about an inch lower, and the crotch area is a bit more baggy and just felt like I was wearing an adult diaper. Actually one of the worst business decisions I ’ ve ever seen a company do. I ’ m sure these Greenland jeans in regular were one of their top sellers behind the vida pros. Please fjallraven make these in regulars again

[ I like the fit and comfort of these pants. Since having babies I only wear high rise and find these fit without constantly falling down. They are supposed to come to your ankle but I have a large and I ’ m short so they ’ re longer on me. I find these are good for lounging around the house or being out and about doing errands. I ’ m not sure I would wear them as workout pants although I mainly wear shorts. Overall they work well for me and are a must buy in my book.

The fit is literally perfect, fits at the small part of waist, plenty of leg room, light and airy for rigorous hikes, and no bulky pockets that I would not use anyway. This is the one pair of pants I bring backpacking, and they fit great over a base layer for windy/colder evenings. I truly hope Adidas keeps making these, and in other colors!

I 'm on my 6th or 7th pair starting 12 years ago. 4 hanging in closet. All I wear when it's below 40/45 and I live in MI so that's a lot. Like pajamas but sturdy, water resistant, stretch waist etc. Wish they 'd go on sale once in awhile but do n't. Well worth the price.
