We have had a lot of below zero windchills, and it becomes very dangerous for frostbite without the proper gloves. He absolutely loves these! This is a great plain ole balaclava. It was so hard to find a plain fleece clava as all the others had neoprene faces or thin head portions or any other extra you could think of. I found that a plain jane clava was the most comfortable, plenty warm and very useful with it being easier to pull down below my chin to eat, drink, etc. And the fact that this clava was made in the USA, it get 2 thumbs up from me! I have a 7- 1/4 head size and tried on the S/M& the L/XL. I ended up getting the L/XL as I did not want a super snug fit.

I work outside throughout the winter and the hardest thing to do is keep my fingers warm when it gets 20 degrees or less. I decided to try these mittens for the times I do n't need fingers( gloves). They are excellent. I added a Hot Hands hand warmer to each mitten and they kept my fingers toasty. I could even take the mittens off, use my fingers to put some nuts on bolts, and put the mittens back on.... No problem. No more painfully cold fingers.

I used the scale to pick the size and although eh circumference meant the glove fit well, it was a little short for my fingers by a few mm, not much but noticeable. The liner is nice and seems to be able to be removed and washed separately( velcroed inside) the wrist strap is thinner than the TNF one I had before. Overall seems like a great option. Kids hate the three- finger look but I think it's the best of both worlds. Warmer like a mitt on the last three fingers without giving up on the dexterity of a thumb and index finger to grab things.

I bought these for my elderly mother for Christmas and tried them on while my hands were cold. It was like heaven! She is not good with electronics and this was easy. She knows how to plug in her cell phone and that is all she has to do is plug them in to recharge. They are lightweight and have cell phone fingers. [ Outstanding gloves in all weather. Super warm( have held up well below 0 F) and comfortable. The single finger helps when you need dexterity, but can put pointer in with rest of hand when too cold. The wrist attachment keeps gloves attached when taking off gloves on the lift too. Light grey color goes with everything.

I use these gloves for projects where i need the dexterity of fingers. Like the spark mitts, these had a tight wrist area to keep the snow and cold out and warm and roomy finger area. Also like the leash strap on each glove so they hang off your wrist when you take them off.( No more losing them in the snow)
