ACG sizing being all over again especially with these. They started offering XXS in some colors but when I got it, it was not available. Though I did size down one size it is very long in length. You may have to get it hemmed or just fold it inward and pull the ties above your ankles. If you go down two sizes you may have an issue with the crotch riding up. Overall it is a thick and heavy sweatpant that's great for the cold.

First off sizing is a giant shot in the dark so I hope this helps. I have a hip circumference of 49. 5 inches and a waist of 41 inches. I ordered the size XL because the sizing charts are useless and these pants fit with just a tad bit of room for moving. Second most important thing to know is that these pants are equal to a ski shell pant except they can ’ t be used for snowboarding or skiing due to the elastic leg opening. These pants are not meant to be warm, breathable, or comfortable and they are a shell water resistant pant without any thigh vents. I purchased these after a hike in the Yukon where I ended up stripping off my hiking pants down to my baselayer bottoms as it was much warmer than expected. I thought, why not use a legging as my baselayer and then if I need to strip off, I am not hiking through bramble in my woolies? I was worried as there is no drawstring at the waist, I wondered if the weight of my phone in the side pocket would pull the pants down over time. The good news is that the pants stay up very well. They are very breathable and I consider they will make great warm weather bottoms. The ankle opening is quite narrow- put your socks on after! True to the sizing guide.

[ Traveled to Alaska in January and brought these pants along. They kept me warm and dry in- 30 F temps and did very well in several feet of snow while snow shoeing and sledding. I at first bought a size small and they fit me like a glove, then returned for a medium so that I could wear them on top of my bottom layers for the day. The medium fit well with jeans and thermals under. The bottom of the pants have an elastic to go around your boot to keep snow from getting in your pants and boots and that seemed to hold up well despite me trucking along in several feet of snow.

[ I have always loved Columbia as a brand for sports and work. This pair of Ski pants are just amazing. I love it has some velcro inside the waist level to adjust the fit you just want. I bought a size small because the medium was quite big. In cm, I am between 65- 70cm in waist and hips 100- 105cm. Fitted great, a bit tight at the beginning but with use got loose. You can expand the lower leg to fit your ski boots and your moon boots or chunky boots. This is just great. I use it with the Ava Jacket and amazing. Thank you!!!

I ordered the pants and jacket to replace some old faithful ones that have been reliable for years. I 've always been happy with the Helium line for backpacking. Although I would n't call them super durable thats not really what they are meant for. I use these pants when hiking and camping in cold/damp weather. The fleece liner feels so comfy against the legs, and the outer shell is durable. These pants are extremely flattering, but I am not a curvy girl... I 'm more straight- shaped. I could see why a curvy figure would have some issues with the waistband.
