[ I love hats and after losing my Columbia wide- brim hat in Zurich( I blame the chocolate) back in 2023, I was relieved to see a replacement a couple weeks ago. Imagine my surprise to unbox such a stylish chapeau! Though its wider brim made me think of Paris in the spring, it was bought for adventures in South America. Mid- August, I leave for a month- long vacation to Brazil where this hat will protect me from tropical rays as I stroll the famous beaches of Rio de Janeiro followed by 3 weeks in the Pantanal( jaguar safari!) and then an Amazon riverboat cruise. Packable, well- constructed with a must- have adjustable strap, it will literally top several quick- dry, multi- purpose, insect- shielded, Omni- Freeze Zero clothing from Columbia. In the meantime, I 've worn this hat for outdoor concerts and shopping at the Farmer's Market here at home in the Midwest. My head circumference is 21. 5 inches and the S/M is perfect. I use this hat whenever I have to go outside for more than 5 minutes. The brim is extra wide and extra long in how it wraps around your head. I have a degenerative eye disease and am also quite photophobic so this hat is a godsend. Not only does it shield my face completely from the sun all the way around from ear to ear, the sides of the brim are out of the normal field of vision so it does not distract from my ability to see peripherally. I got this hat in store and after wearing it probably 4 days in a row I went online to buy it in black too. I always wear my hair in a ponytail or a messy bun and this hat has a big enough space in the back for either, while also being a little higher than where the hole would typically be on a hat for your ponytail to go through. The material is breathable and could look sporty or cute with just a regular outfit bc there aren ’ t any big logos on the hat. Some of my adidas or Nike hats look too sporty for an every day outfit or casual dress, but not this one. My kids and I love our hats for a couple of reasons. First, they are so light that we do n't feel like we are even wearing a hat that gives great sun coverage, but we are! Second, my kids are able to get great sun coverage with comfort. In the past most of the hats they wore had brims in the back too. I love this hat!!! It is my favorite Sunday Afternoons and I have many others. The only negative is it runs a little small. One Size. After stetching out the elastic band by pulling on it hard repeatedly, it fits comfortably. My head measures 22 1/4 '' around. Now I love it. Good sunblock and better looking than some of the others. I bought the cream with the black band. I would buy the blue and black too but I hate the multi print on the inside of the brim. If they came in plain black on the underside like the cream, I would buy both other colors. Why the multi print? Looks old- ladyish! Please offer all colors with a plain black under side of brim!!! An addendum to my review the black hat should have either solid black trim or back and white, like black and white stripes on the band with black solid under brim for shade protection. The red multi print is aweful!!!

This is a great hat for boating and kayaking in the Florida sun. It is comfortable and keeps most of the sun of my face. Also not too hot to wear.. It's nice to have a big hat that can be stuffed into a tiny dry bag in the evenings when the sun goes down.

This is a great hat. It travels very well and is adjustable for comfort. Really stays put without being too tight. Plus worked fine in a light rain, drying quickly. I love it and I do n't really like wearing most hats.

Great hat! Super functional and looks good with everything... meaning I will wear it beachside, poolside, at the river or in the garden... you get the point. This hat can take a beating in my bag and still look cute while I sit in the stands at my kids' soccer games.

I pair this visor with earmuffs when I wear my parka with the hood up. I wanted to shade my face and eyes from the sun. I needed a visor that did n't wrap half way around my head and was flexible enough to let my parka hood come around my face. This visor is perfect for that. The wide ban also keep my hair out of my face.

[ My head measurement suggests either a medium or a large. Based on a review I saw on the manufacturer's site suggesting to go with the large in the same situation, I did, and I am glad I did. This hat is super- comfortable and light. I got it in black and it's the kind of hat you can wear in town or on the trail, because in black it does n't look `` outdoorsy ''. I 've been wearing it under a sun hoody for maximum sun protection.

Been wearing this hat hiking in the desert for probably five years. Wo n't hit the trail without it. Wicks away sweat very well and is very cool. I have washed this hat literally dozens of times which is why it does n't seem to have the SPF factor it once had. been getting sunburned on my head lately. So, after five years I am buying the same hat again! BTW, I bought two hats. One medium, one large. At 7 1/8 '' hat size the medium was too small. Would n't change a thing.

I love wearing this hat. I am a letter carrier and have a walking route so I use it for head/face protection. I have washed it a few times and dried it in accordance with the instructions each time. The last time I washed it and was drying it by way of the instructions but I got a little inpatient and decided to throw it in the dryer with air dry. I could not believe it but it still shrunk. So my next one will be dried by there recommendation.
