I am an intermediate sorta advanced player and this racket allows me to hit insanely accurate missiles. The power and accuracy can be attributed to this wand/sludge hammer of a racket. I wasn ’ t paid to post this review, but I speak the truth about this racket. Great for advanced players looking to take the game to a different level.

[ This tennis racket really exceeded my expectations! First of all, it feels very comfortable in hand. The grip is well- designed and fits naturally, so even after long sessions, it doesn ’ t cause much fatigue. The racket offers excellent stability, delivering powerful shots while still maintaining great control. Whether you ’ re hitting from the baseline or playing at the net, it performs consistently well. The material also feels premium, with solid craftsmanship and attention to detail. The vibration dampening is impressive, reducing strain on the wrist and making it suitable for both beginners and more experienced players. Overall, it offers great value for the price. It ’s perfect for daily practice, casual play, and even more advanced use. Highly recommended!

I bought this racquet the winter before my last high school season and was previously using the ultra v3. I needed something with a little more power and control and this racquet succeeded in both. I would recommend this racquet to anyone looking for a heavier racquet that ’s able to still feel light and agile.

I 've been playing with my new Wilson Ultra 100 V4 for about a month now and I 'm really enjoying it! I 've been playing with a Babolat for several years and although I liked it, I found it feeling a bit too heavy and stiff. The Wilson has more flex and feel and definitely feels more forgiving with less than perfect contact. It's hard to explain but it feels like the ball sits longer on the strings and I find I have much more control than I had with the stiffer Babolat.

My daughter is relatively new to tennis and this is her first regular sized racket. It took a little adjusting to the grip size compared to her previous kids racket and she also noticed it felt a bit heavier which was expected moving up from a kids model. Coming from clash I have the project shift 99 which is virtually the same as the 99 v1, and I have to say it does excel at power, spin and comfort as advertised. I used hybrid blast/ vs natural gut at only 50lbs each and the power is ridiculous. I will have it restrung at 58lbs next time bc a lot of shots are going out. But my serve game is significantly faster and the kick serve is vicious when it connects to the ground. The spin from this makes the clash look like a toy. The comfort is on par with the clash, which of course is the best comfort Wilson offers- it ’s very easy on the elbow. It really has the perfect swing too, just pick it up and it feels right with the right amount of head light swing weight. I love it. The color is the best I ’ ve seen on a racket too- you almost want to perfect it with the right color strings to match, but I opted for black. I ’ m sad to see my clash go, it has done me well and I thought I ’ d never trade it in, but when I get on the court I can ’ t help it- the clash feels like a wooden racket compared to the shift, Aside from the hybrids at high tension, I would recommend getting black grip tape as the white looks dirty after a couple games.

The first time I tried it, felt a little different… but once you go back to your original racket, you miss it too much to continue, and you switch back to this. It might be the future of tennis…

Of late I 've been hitting with a Clash Tour V2 for the last year or so, before that the Clash Tour V1. First off I 'd like to thank Wilson for making the Clash line, without that racket, I would n't be able to play nearly as much as I do because of my tennis elbow issues. Since I started playing with those rackets on a scale of 1 to 10, my pain is a 1. I can play tennis regularly, taking hundreds of reps on a ball machine no problem. That being said, I just got the Shift and for me it's a total game changer. Without a doubt it's in the Clash family, like driving a sports car, fast and fun! I tend to hit flatter so I struggle with generating spin and keeping it on the court, it REALLY does generate more spin! I was able to consistently hit kick serves for the first time in my life!! Again thank you Wilson for everything you 've contributed to tennis and pushing the limits of what's possible with racquets.

[ Generates spin very easily and easy to keep the ball in control even with a lower tension. The 100 sq in( 300 gram) feels very stable with ground strokes and at the net. Has a large forgiving sweet spot and easy to maneuver at the net.

toastedfish321
[ I recently bought this, and this is my first time using it. The control is really smooth, and it lets me place the ball. The maneuverability is way better than the blade since it is really head- light. This makes volleys easier to do. The spin is excellent, and I feel like the quality of my shots got much better. The stability is okay since I feel like the lightness makes it hard to keep it consistent. The sweetspot seems quite small to me but it is very rewarding when you hit it.
5
Oz_man
[ Great improvement to the Wilson line. The 100 is a bit more lively than the 98. Good stability, sweetspot, and extra power if you 're an aging player.

This racquet has worked great for me. I am an intermediate player, playing about two to three times a week. This racquet is lightweight and the oversized head helps a lot with hitting more balls. It is sold pre- strung at Dicks, and I love how it came in many different grip sizes. I do n't have any problems witht the stringing, considering it was pre- strung when I bought it. Because the racquet is made of titanium it is more durable yet light on the hands at the same time. I would definitely recommend this product!

protagonist_10
[ I ’ ve played with Wilson racquets for years, and what keeps bringing me back is the combination of control, stability, and confidence they give me on court. This racquet feels incredibly precise without feeling dull or disconnected. The response off the strings is one of my favorite parts. There ’s enough dwell time to really feel the ball, especially when taking a full swing, but the racquet still feels quick and responsive when reacting at the net or redirecting pace. On harder shots, the frame stays remarkably stable and gives me the confidence to swing through the ball rather than backing off. What stands out most is the control. I feel like I can aim for smaller targets, change direction confidently, and trust the racquet when I need to go after a shot. It rewards good technique instead of trying to manufacture power for you, which is exactly what I want from a Wilson. There are plenty of racquets that feel impressive for the first few minutes, but this is the kind that gets better the more you play with it. It feels purposeful, refined, and built for someone who wants to stay connected to every shot. Wilson has always had a special identity when it comes to player- focused racquets, and this one reminds me exactly why.

I bought three of the Wilson Triad Three rackets six month ago. One racket cracked and Wilson replaced it through their online warranty process. Great warranty policy and support! The Triad Three is perfect for competitive senior players. It has a great deal of power and control. The beam is thick for power, the head size is 113 sq inches for bigger sweet spot, and the racket has elastomeric material between the frame to absorb shock. I play 4 or 5 times a week in NTRP 4. 5 leagues and tournaments, as well as 60+ National tournaments. This racket is a replacement for the Weed 125- EX, which is no longer available. I like the Triad Three better than the Weed racket. The Triad Three is a light racket, but feels slightly head- heavy like the old Wilson n- code rackets from 2005- 2007, which i missed when Wilson moved to the head- light Pro Staff. I 've suffered from tennis elbow twice since coming back in 2018. Even though I 've strung the Wilson Triad with poly( Solinco Hyper- G Soft at 53 lbs), it feels soft on the elbow. My elbow has actually felt better after playing with this racket for the last 6 months, and I no longer wear a tennis elbow brace. I highly recommend this racket and hope Wilson does n't discontinue production anytime soon. If they do, I 'll be buying up a dozen to last me thru the 90's.

I like the color of this racket, the very evenly balanced weight of it as well. the Roland Garros logo looks really cool. Also, having the W painted in red on my strings was an extra bonus; I ca n't wait until it wears off.

[ I bought the Wilson Clash 100L V3 for my 11- year- old daughter. Although she ’s young, she ’s tall for her age and already outgrew junior rackets, so this was the perfect transition frame. The racket is lightweight and very easy to maneuver, but still offers great stability, comfort, and control. The flexible feel is arm- friendly and forgiving, which gives her confidence on groundstrokes and volleys without overpowering her swing. It ’s an excellent option for tall juniors who are ready to move into an intermediate- level racket while still developing strength and technique.

I 've been using v7 16x19 for the last 3+ years. It worked great to reduce arm pain, swing very hard, and have decent control. I 've tried: the following as potential replacements for the v7 without satisfaction: E Zone 98 Blade 98 V8 Ultra Pro v4 98sqin Head Gravity Tour 100 Prince ATS Textreme Tour 98( not too far off) Vcore Pro 98( 2020 Version) Precept 98 330h( Close) For anyone using a v8- try this immediately. I never liked the v8. The v9 compared to the v7 is: More responsive- for the same level of effort More stable- There is no flutter on ground stokes for a stock v9( I have still not added any weight at 3& 9 and I 've had to do this to every racquet since switching from Pro Staffs.) I let a v8 user hit with the v9 yesterday for three minutes afterwards, he through his old blade on his bag and said `` I 'm switching and giving all of my v8's to my son '' More accurate- strung 2 lbs lower I can still hit targets easier than I could with the v7( Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7+ Ghostwire) Just slightly more stiff than the v7 but somehow less jarring than the v8 I 've bought three so far and will be getting two more and selling my v7's.

Amazing racquet more suitable for intermediate and advanced players! Pinpoint precision with good feel. Stiffer than the last version but still comfortable. Respectfully, if you don ’ t know this racquet doesn ’ t come with strings, you probably have no business playing with it.

I love the power and drive this racquet gives me. It seems easier to get top spin on my balls with this racquet, and still gives great control on volleys and blocks.

As a 4. 5 – 5. 0 league player, this racket has been a great fit for my game. I like to play all- court, similar to a Federer style, and the Blade 98 16x19 V9 really delivers on control, feel, and versatility. The biggest strength is the precision. From the baseline, I can take full swings and trust that the ball will stay in. It ’s especially strong on one- handed backhands and slicing, where the feel really stands out. The 16x19 pattern also gives me plenty of spin when I need margin or want to shape shots. At the net, it ’s super solid and stable. Volleys feel clean and controlled, and I don ’ t get pushed around when returning pace. Serves are another highlight. I can hit my spots consistently and mix in spin without losing control. This isn ’ t a beginner racket. You need to generate your own pace, but if you ’ re an experienced player who values placement, feel, and an all- court game, this racket really shines. Overall, it ’s a high- level player ’s frame that rewards good technique and shot- making.

When choosing an intermediate tennis racquet, consider factors such as the racquet's weight, balance, and head size, as these elements can affect your control and power. Look for a racquet that offers a blend of maneuverability and stability to enhance your performance on the court. Additionally, consider the grip size to ensure comfort during play, as well as the string pattern, which can influence spin and feel. Finally, think about your playing style and preferences, as this will help you select a racquet that complements your game.
Intermediate tennis racquets are designed to bridge the gap between beginner and advanced models, offering a balance of power and control. They typically feature a slightly larger head size than advanced racquets, providing a larger sweet spot for improved playability, while still maintaining enough precision for developing skills. These racquets often have a moderate weight and stiffness, allowing players to generate their own power while also enhancing maneuverability. In contrast, beginner racquets prioritize ease of use, and advanced racquets focus on performance and customization for experienced players.
When selecting an intermediate tennis racquet, several features are important to consider. A balanced combination of power and control is essential, allowing players to develop their skills while still enjoying a responsive feel. The weight and balance of the racquet can influence maneuverability and stability, making it easier to handle during play. Additionally, the racquet's head size can affect the sweet spot, providing a larger area for effective ball contact, which is beneficial for improving consistency.
The ideal weight for an intermediate tennis racquet typically ranges from 10 to 11.5 ounces. This weight provides a balance of power and control, allowing players to generate sufficient swing speed while maintaining stability during play. Many intermediate players prefer a racquet that is not too heavy, as it helps with maneuverability, especially during quick exchanges at the net. Ultimately, the best weight will depend on individual preferences and playing style.
Grip size plays a crucial role in the performance of intermediate tennis racquets. A properly sized grip allows for better control and maneuverability, enabling players to execute shots with precision. If the grip is too small, it can lead to excessive wrist movement, while a grip that is too large may hinder the ability to generate spin and power. Finding the right grip size enhances comfort and can improve overall gameplay.
Intermediate tennis racquets are typically made from a combination of materials designed to enhance performance and durability. Common materials include graphite, which provides a lightweight feel and good stiffness, and aluminum, known for its strength and affordability. Some racquets may also incorporate composite materials that blend different elements to optimize power and control. These materials help players develop their skills while offering a balance of playability and comfort.
Intermediate players often benefit from racquets that offer a balance of power and control. These racquets typically feature a mid-plus head size, which provides a larger sweet spot while still allowing for precision shots. Additionally, a moderate weight and flexible frame can enhance maneuverability, making it easier for players to develop their skills and adapt their playing style. Many intermediate racquets also incorporate technologies that improve stability and feel, catering to the evolving needs of players at this level.
For intermediate tennis racquets, a variety of string types can enhance performance and playability. Multifilament strings are popular for their comfort and power, making them suitable for players looking to improve their game. Polyester strings offer durability and control, which can benefit those who generate their own power. Additionally, hybrid string setups, combining different materials, can provide a balance of comfort and spin, catering to the diverse needs of intermediate players.
To determine the right balance for an intermediate tennis racquet, consider your playing style and preferences. A racquet's balance can be categorized as head-heavy, head-light, or evenly balanced, affecting maneuverability and power. If you prefer more control and quick reactions at the net, a head-light racquet may suit you better. Conversely, if you seek added power on your groundstrokes, a head-heavy racquet might be more beneficial. Testing different balances during practice can help you find the right fit for your game.
Using an intermediate tennis racquet can enhance your game by providing a balance of power and control, which is essential for developing your skills. These racquets are typically designed with a larger head size and a lighter frame, making it easier to generate spin and maneuver the racquet effectively. Additionally, they often feature a comfortable grip and a forgiving sweet spot, allowing players to make more consistent contact with the ball as they refine their technique. Overall, an intermediate racquet can support your growth as a player by accommodating a range of playing styles and skill levels.
