I am normally a medium for the golf shirts and decided to get a large for the hoodie as I wanted to be able to wear layers if needed. I live in the interior of BC, Canada, where it ’s often brisk in the mornings and evenings. I had second thoughts at first about the jacket because I was concerend about the slightly snug fit. I 'm about 185lbs and 6 ft tall with the medium size being snug but not uncomfortable at all. I just wondered about wearing layers witht he jacket. The arm length is perfect for me and the large size would be too long in the arms. I almost throught to return it to other options but realized this size is really perfect as is after wearing it on a few outings. I do n't really need additional mid- layers with this jacket so it has been great and wo n't be looking elsewhere for another jacket. I bought the light grey colour because I thought it could double as bug protection, since the mosquitoes were horrendous. I really liked how feather- light it was, it dried fast and the hood was great when the bugs were fierce. It's on the right hip and goes backwards which is strange and not natural at all, I really dislike it. This jacket is a light, packable, and comfortable. Perfect for warm weather adventures that just need a little extra layer to block the wind. It packs down into a small pouch that can be tossed in your pack or beach bag for that `` ace in the hole '' when needed. Unlike many competing brands, this jacket is made of a very soft material and does not have the crinkle feeling like you are putting on a trash bag. Also unique to this jacket compared to it's competitor's is that it has front handwarmer pockets as well as a chest pocket( most packable options do not). The pockets in my opinion bring it from just being a quick grab backup plan to an intentionally worn and functional jacket. The chest pocket is a great spot to quickly store your cell phone and the front hand pockets give you that sensation like you just put on your favorite hoodie sweatshirt. I have worn it while hiking mountains during the summer in Maine to hanging out on the beach in Costa Rica on a windy day.

This jacket is extremely comfortable. I 'm 5' 6 '' with broad shoulders and a more or less triangular shape( not a body builder by any stretch, though). The medium fits me perfectly with room to layer. I expect it's long enough for taller people, too. It breaths well, provides good wind protection, and a small amount of protection from precipitation. The first time I tried running in this jacket, the hood flopped annoyingly into my field of view. I have since discovered that you can just fold the brim back once or twice to tighten up the fit. This may look a little wonky, but it works beautifully, and it's the only option, since there's no drawstring adjustment on the hood. It's very nice to have hand- warmer pockets, which many wind shells omit.

I bought this to try out in spring/summer in Washington and it is fantastic. It's super light weight but does a great job at blocking the wind and light rain. The fit is trim but not overly loose( I got a large with a 41 '' chest, 6', 188 lbs). It has quickly become my go to windbreaker and has replaced my Arc'teryx Squamish hoody. Definitely worth the buy!

I am an OR employee and have used prototype versions of this jacket over the past couple years. The fabric works very well at giving both wind and light weather protection AND breathability and stretch. For running, mountain biking and as an `` up- hill jacket '' for backcountry ski touring it is amazing because it adds warmth in cool and cold temps, but breathes enough to prevent overheating so much better than traditional windshells. And it is ultralight and highly packable. Best of all worlds.( It does not replace a rain jacket though. It is water resistant, but far from waterproof.)

Was looking for a high- visibility running jacket similar to the Patagonia Houdini Air( wind resistance+ breathability). I have both the regular Houdini( size L) and Houdini Air( M). Keeping this in M. FIT: I 'm 5' 1, 150 lbs, 34DD, round belly. With a Smartwool 250 baselayer or a thin long- sleeved cotton t, fit is close to the body, but not tight( Houdinis run much slimmer); pretty forgiving of my belly:) Perfect length for me, falling around mid- hip; Houdinis are longer, falling below my butt. FEEL/FUNCTION: I 've worn this for multiple runs( incl. light rain, strong wind). This feels somewhere in- between the Houdinis in terms of wind- blocking and breathability. V. light rain beaded on the surface of the jacket, but left a mark when smushed into the fabric. Material is a matte, slightly stretchy, more fabric- y( vs. plastic- y) material- like a slightly thicker/heavier Air. Hood fits over thick pony- tail securely when fully zipped, and stays in strong wind. Doubles as a running and casual jacket better than the Houdinis due to a more forgiving fit around the mid- section( for looser- fitting street clothes), shorter length( more flattering for my short stature), and zippered side pockets. Packs down small enough for an upcoming 2. 5 week trip to Europe( 24L bag). COLOR: Azalea appears neon coral in the pictures, which is what originally attracted me. Unfortunately, it actually is not neon at all, and is more like a salmon pink that leans more pink than orange. It is slightly see- through. LOVE the green( Grove) colorway- something about the color+ matte fabric texture+ matching zippers makes it look SO smooth and rich and clean. Did not intend to get this color, but decided to try( and keep!) it based on the( accurate) pictures.

[ I love this jacket and reach for it all the time. The fabric is much softer than my Arc ’ Teryx jackets which is maybe why I love it so much. The pockets are roomy and the hood is a nice close fit. This keeps me really warm, especially when I layer with wool underneath. I use it a lot during outdoor agility training with my dog and it also looks nice enough for everyday wear. Huge fan of this! It's a go to for slightly warmer to hotter temperatures. It's comfortable and feels far more breathable and quality than alternative sun hoodies on the market( REI Sahara sun hoody) Also, the protection I get with it from the sun is amazing. The hood is more oversized so it's easy to wear over a helmet or to sorta pull to the side to provide extra protection from the sun-- even when you 're just driving and there's bright sun coming from the side window. I took this shirt with me for walking the Camino in the early fall( ~35C on the coast with no shade). I 'm very sensitive to heat( due to both MS and some of my medication), but after soaking this shirt in water, the combination of the quick evaporation and the UV protection was enough to keep me comfortable even at noon. It was great to be able to skip out on sunblock and still not end the day looking like a tomato. I work as a construction project manager in tropical Costa Rica, this shirt is nearly perfect. It's light, it shields you from the sun, and the reinforced stitches makes it durable. The downside, this type of fabric forces me to wash it everyday after work to avoid odor from sticking. I would love to see this very design but with wool, the hoodie is a must for warm climates.

This is my go- to layer that stays in my pack at all times. It's super lightweight and packs inside its pocket. I have 17 '' shoulders, a 34 '' bust and a 27 '' waist and 32 '' hips. My dress size is a 4/6 and my pants size is a 4/6 but my shirt size is a medium because of the shoulder width. It is tight so I do n't think I could go down to an Xsmall. But fjallraven runs big. Normally I wear a medium in jackets because u have broad shoulders but this fits! I love this baselayer, very convenient for skiing, as you do n't need to wear additional balaclava. The balaclava on this hoodie provides decent warmth, but you might want a thicker balaclava for- 20 weather. Overall, a very good product for skiing. I wish all baselayer had this option.

It actually feels cooler than the REI Sahara hoodie by 2- 3C, even though they 're both the same weight. I think this shirt has better thermal conductivity. It also absorbs sweat faster which helps increase evaporation. You can check by dunking both shirts into a tub of water. I felt much more comfortable with this in 30- 40C temperatures with high humidity. I can feel the difference under a helmet. It's more stretchy, and greater horizontally compared to vertically so you have to be careful not to stretch it too far in order to keep it's UPF protection so I wear a loose fitting size. The fabric is n't as durable as the REI Sahara, as it has more pilling after a few months of wearing 2- 3 days a week. The wrists seem to be more stained. It has more facial coverage along the neck and side cheeks near the ear because it has a smaller opening for the face. It's a round opening so it sits fairly symmetrical compared to the REI Sahara which has an overlapping stitch at the neck that causes the hood to twist to one side. It does n't have a drawstring but since the opening is smaller, the wind does n't really blow it off, unlike the REI Sahara which needs it's drawstring to be cinched to resist the wind. The only benefit of the REI Sahara is possibly greater sun protection from the side rear angle due to how the hood drapes, but less protection from the side front angle; cheaper price; higher durability.

I wear the echo line of active wear when I 'm working out of fishing. The level of cool I get from wearing the ActiveIce appearal is unlike anything I 've tried before. It keeps me cool and I 'm not sweating as much as I do with the echo fabric. It does come with the trade off of being a bit heavier than the echo and not as breathable feeling since it's a thicker fabric. I will choose to wear the echo fabric when it's a cooler day doing a lot of activity and the ActiveIce fabric when it's really sunny and warm.

I love it! I am really specific about sun shirts because I live and work on boats and wear a sun shirt most days. Full disclosure: I have tried the Crater Lake and Sunshadow before this and really did not like them. The Crater Lake is 1) kind of soft and does n't breath as well as this one and 2) had sloppy sewing so the sleeve hem unravelled after a couple months of wear. The Sunshadow was low stretch and super restricting to wear and the fabric stained really easily. This* Sunblocker* is amazing. The fabric is super quick drying but not scratchy, the sewing is really neat, and the fabric is stretchy and not restrictive. I sized up from S to M and am glad I did. I personally love the crop. It still protects my whole back, even when I bend over, but is n't too long. Overall, I 'm really happy with it!

I work as a climbing guide in Colorado, so my work takes me to a variety of locations and climates. My initial guess as to what the Keele would be like was similar to other grid fleeces: lightweight and flexible. The latter is more true than the former. This layer was surprisingly heavy- and I think that's fantastic. It presents a different layering option than other mid- layers that tend to strive to be light. The inner fabric is extremely soft, so it feels great next to skin. I was caught in a mild drizzle and the outer fabric did a great job beading water and not letting me get soaked. I 'm 5'10 '' 165 and it felt just a hair big on me. If it was colder( ice climbing or mountaineering) I would appreciate the room to layer. As the only mid- layer I was wearing it was just a slight bit big, but I did n't find that problematic at all.

I am a rock climbing guide who guides across Colorado and Utah and its important for me to have gear that works well, is durable and looks professional. I was excited for this hoody to arrive as it checked a lot of those boxes for me. The large fits ideally for me at 6' 2 '', 215lbs and long arms. I have a bit of an issue in the past with MHW sizing as it seemed I was right in between a L and XL but this jacket fits wonderfully. The waterproofing is functional if you are stuck in some light rain, as the water will bead right off. The brushed grid interior gives the hoody that cozy feel which means you 'll never want to take it off. It is a lot denser of a hoody than I was expecting but that's a positive in my books. I really think this hoody is for anyone who wants a full zip mid layer jacket but it will find itself at home the most in the backpacks of you Spring rock climbers!

I am a search and rescue volunteer and climbing wall instructor who spends my time in Arizona and Washington state. Working in a wide range of environmental conditions requires that my gear does the same. I ordered the Keele grid hoody as large, my usual size, and I found it fit true to size. The Keele hoody has performed exceptionally while climbing, traveling, and hiking. The recycled polyester double weave fabric is my favorite feature of the Keele. Its brushed back grid interior is soft and wicks moisture well while the DWR coating on the exterior provides durability and water resistance. Even when soaked through, the Keele kept me warm climbing in less- than- ideal conditions. The three- piece hood functions incredibly well and I found it fit over or under a climbing helmet. I have thoroughly enjoyed using the Keele and recommend it as a base or mid layer for nearly any outdoor endeavor.

You can never have too many midlayers! This statement is always true, and that is one of the many reasons the Keele Grid hoody is something you should get. I 'm 5' 9 '' 165lbs. and the medium fits comfortably. It does n't have a really technical fit like an r1; it's a more relaxed fit. This jacket is the r1 that you can wear everyday, but with pockets and way more wind resistance. I 've been grabbing this every morning when I leave the house on all these cool Spring mornings. The hood is really comfortable, and I 've always been a half- zip kind of guy, but I 'm loving the full- zip jacket feel.

[ We 've had enough miserably hot days so far this summer that I can say this will protect even the most sunburn prone skin all day long without cooking the wearer or slathering on tons of sunscreen into every nook and cranny regularly. It's durable enough for yardwork and backpacking, although I 'd stick with Dovetail for really strenuous dirty work. This has become my new backpacking base layer for warm weather.

[ I ’ m outdoors most days in the sun so protection is vital. This hoodie is lightweight, soft and does the job when I ’ m fly fishing, enjoying a SUP/kayak, hiking or pickleball. The overlap at the neck keeps the hood in place, even over a cap and the thumb holes offer extra coverage. Fabric wicks moisture and dries quickly to keep you comfortable. Knocked off a star cause it could use a pocket or two.
