It's warm and comfy. Soft fleece, lots of zippers and pockets. Got the gray, the fleece is different from my other Denali's. The fleece is maybe softer than the usual Denali fleece. The fleece does shed, which I guess happens with the softer fleece. It is way more cropped than the older Denali as well. The name should say `` Cropped ''. I 'm considering sizing up to see if it will make any difference, but that means the sleeves will be much wider. I 'm not sure why the under arms are soooo huge maybe to decrease sweating hence the zippers under the arms. They should have two options for the Denali, one with a regular length and one cropped for women. This one is functional, but will rise up. I buy a new Denali every few years, this one is very different. The prices keep going up and the jackets and sweaters keep getting shorter.

I love the fit and feel. Very lightweight, which I wanted, as a summer weight jacket. The stretch improves the fit and feel over my other bomber. The only things I would change is; Add the original bomber style shoulder pockets and tool sleeves, maybe even on both sides. A velcro shoulder patches with a cover that matches the jacket fabric to hide the velcro if preferred. Stretch cordura or something cut resistant to protect in the shop against sheet metal edges or on the street for self defence. Hand pocket designed more like the original without the flap. [ Do not regret buying this coat at all. I 'm 6' 0 and 160 pounds and got a large to make sure it would fit over bigger jackets and such and it totally does. Keeps you super warm without being so bulky. Love the length of it also, goes just past my fingertips.

[ Fabulous Coat. I have another Columbia coat that is a heavy duty for the dead of a horrible New England Winter, but wanted something more light weight while we are in false spring and late fall. I had acquired a different coat from another prominent company based in Maine to remain nameless, but it was surprisingly not warm at all. I would say it was a light fall coat at best and was extremely disappointed. I purchased this coat hoping for the best and I was very please. It's perfect for late and early winter in New England and I ordered up size so I can layer and where probably through the whole winter. It's light weight and I love that the hood is lined.
