I bought a pair of these when they first came out a couple of years ago and always saved them for my `` dress '' shorts. I always looked forward to wearing them as they are the most comfortable shorts I have ever owned. I finally decided to replace my lined Breeze shorts with the active breeze shorts because they are just so much more comfortable than the Breeze short. The extra comfort comes from the difference in the waste band. The old Breeze short had a typical stretch liner but the new active breeze short has more of smooth band where you do n't feel the waist band against the skin, you dont actually know you are wearing them.

For more experienced runners, you begin to notice that longer lengths shorts become obtrusive and somewhat restrictive. Then I tried a pair of the 3 ” breakaways and my goodness, what a difference. These 3 ” breakaways make you feel faster, stronger, and they look stylish. The lining doesnt bunch or stick to the shorts themselves and while the pockets are small, the back pocket is a nice addition. Small pockets mean less bouncing and hitting my legs so overall that ’s a plus.

Fits as expected. Pockets hold gels and snacks for long runs. Zip butt pocket fits large phone. Not excessive flop when carrying gels and phone. Fun color.

[ Impressed with these shorts. They ’ re lightweight and super comfy. The included inner brief liner is convenient, but I generally wear sports trunks while running anyways, to avoid chafing. Took a bit to get used to the different design for the pockets, but the back pocket for a phone is super convenient! Love running in these shorts. They ’ re great!

I normally don ’ t write reviews. But these are by far some of the most comfortable and flattering running shorts I ’ ve worn in a long time! I ’ m 5 ’ 5 ” 115lbs and the XS was perfect. Waistband just right, not too tight or loose, and the rise is in- between typical mid- rise and high- rise so I don ’ t feel like I ’ m having to roll them down or pull them up to be flattering. Sitting down they don ’ t bunch up. I went back and bought them in every color. Just buy them for yourself before they sell out!

I got these shorts to wear at the gym and to play tennis. I 'm 5' 6 '' and size small fits well. Love the deep pockets to hold tennis balls.
