I LOVE these pants. I have a curvy build with a smaller waist and full butt/thighs and it ’s incredibly hard to find pants that fit well. Got these in a medium( I ’ m 5 ’ 8 ”, 165lb), and the fit is wonderful. They don ’ t look too baggy, but I still have great mobility( if you have the problem of big thighs, you know tight pants make squatting and floor- sitting difficult). If I could change one thing, I would make them and inch or two longer, but I just wear them with sandals or flats( yes, I pull them off as business casual at work).

For context I am 5 ’ 3 ” 130 lbs with a small waist but a large bum. I ’ m a typical size SMALL in most all brands for both tops and bottoms. I originally purchased the size small and was dismayed at how large they were on me! But the length was perfect. I think ever since Mountain Hardwear was purchased by Columbia?, the sizing has become inconsistent. Luckily it seems that the quality of material is still there. I then purchased the XS. The fit seemed like it would be tight, but once I pulled it over my bum, fits comfortable and snug- however- the length is noticeably shorter- almost like “ petite ” sizing, which is disappointing. Maybe you are starting activities early in the morning when it's cold but will be out as it gets hot and want to remove the legs of your pants to have shorts instead. Or perhaps you are hiking and going up a mountain and know it will get much colder as you proceed, and will want to change from shorts to pants. These are comfy for any such activities. Love theses pants. All purpose. I wear them at work as an ICU Physician, traveling, hiking and for lounging. They wash easy and dry fast. They have just enough stretch to be comfortable but not too much to become baggy or fall off. Have them in several colors and highly recommend!

Great pants! These are very comfortable, and they look good on. Nice amount of stretch for active hikes, or just hanging out around town.

Longtime user of the Halle Straight Pant( in almost every color made)... its durability, reliability, hydrophobic, quick dry features have NEVER let me down. Figured I 'd give the Halle AT( all terrain) pant a try- ordered before an adventure trip to Santa Cruz( redwoods, and hiking, and ocean water; oh my!) and exclaimed out- loud how comfortable the AT pants are! Just the right amount of fabric reinforcement for a more physical hike, or casual fall/winter wear. Now I have another product to collect in all colors...
