New Yorker
It's warm and comfy. Soft fleece, lots of zippers and pockets. Got the gray, the fleece is different from my other Denali's. The fleece is maybe softer than the usual Denali fleece. The fleece does shed, which I guess happens with the softer fleece. It is way more cropped than the older Denali as well. The name should say `` Cropped ''. I 'm considering sizing up to see if it will make any difference, but that means the sleeves will be much wider. I 'm not sure why the under arms are soooo huge maybe to decrease sweating hence the zippers under the arms. They should have two options for the Denali, one with a regular length and one cropped for women. This one is functional, but will rise up. I buy a new Denali every few years, this one is very different. The prices keep going up and the jackets and sweaters keep getting shorter.

The Denali Jacket is vibes! I have the pinkish one and the color is so vivid and pretty. It is also super warm! There was a wind storm last night and it kept me warm! I would purchase again, there's so many colors to choose from.

A great jacket. Lots of pockets. Wind and water proof. Great quality. It is a jacket, not a shell so maybe too heavy for some backpackers. I initially purchased a similar jacket from Northface in 1992. It was no longer water proof or resistant. Returned it to TNF and they replaced it with this. Amazing warranty.

I recently purchased The North Face Men's 1996 Retro Nuptse Jacket, and after wearing it for a while, I can confidently say it lives up to the hype The jacket has a boxy, vintage- inspired fit, staying true to its 90s heritage. It looks great with both casual and outdoor outfits, making it a versatile piece for everyday wear. I went with my usual size, and it fits comfortably with room for layering underneath. If you prefer a more fitted look, consider sizing down. Packed with 700- fill goose down, this jacket is impressively warm without feeling overly bulky. It holds up well against cold temperatures, even in windy conditions. The stowable hood is a great addition, offering extra protection when needed. The outer shell is made of ripstop nylon with a water- repellent finish, making it both durable and resistant to light rain or snow. The quality feels premium, and I expect this jacket to last for years.

Love this jacket. I was worried about the reports that it's `` short '' I 'm 5' 9 '' with a longer torso and short legs( 30- 32 inseam) and the jacket came to just below my belt line. It's definitely a jacket for car camping, walks around town, etc. This IS N'T a summit series jacket and is defiantly not built as a belay jacket which I think some get confused. For me, after hitting the slopes and a bit sweaty, I pull this out of my pack, fluff it up( it folds into its own pocket and packs very small) and put it on going in and out of the lodge before the sweat get cold and drops my body temp.

Tested out the new UL Premonition during my training in Salt Lake City and my recent Makalu expedition. Two of the best features of the jacket are its weight and packability—it is incredibly light and easy to pack into my backpack, especially when carrying a lot of gear and equipment up to higher camps. The jacket shielded me from rain, snow, and high winds at higher altitudes. It ’s highly mobile and easy to wear. What I most like about this jacket is that it fits me well, yet is roomy enough to layer up for those colder days on the mountain. I returned a more expensive jacket from a competitor because it was a snug, athletic fit and didn ’ t leave enough room for layering. Personally, I don ’ t care about the ability to convert the jacket to a shell, and I would have preferred deep glove pockets inside the jacket instead. But I didn ’ t ding it for that because the jacket is as advertised. Overall it ’s the quality you ’ d expect from Marmot. I have used it on one ski trip already and I am happy with it, particularly at the sale price.

WilliTF
Purchased for skiing in the northeast, so needed warmth and flexibility. I believe I found my next favorite jacket. The 3- in- 1 is nice and sized well at XL for a guy who can fit into a L but finds that too tight in the shoulders( after all, you have to keep your arms forward with poles). Great wind protection and comfortable feel, which means room for layering up on cold ski days(< 10 dF). I have not separated the liner yet, so do not have any input on the pieces individually. The Gore- Tex shell is really nice and the line coat is warm in the set. I would recommend it as a warm and relaxed coat for the piste.

Bought this for a recent Rainier climb. Excellent layering piece to pair with my Ghost Whisperer. Good wind protection bit still breathes well during high exertion. I am 6' tall and 195 lbs. The Large fits perfectly. Would definitely buy again.
5
PO
I work as a climbing guide in Colorado, so my work takes me to a variety of locations and climates. My initial guess as to what the Keele would be like was similar to other grid fleeces: lightweight and flexible. The latter is more true than the former. This layer was surprisingly heavy- and I think that's fantastic. It presents a different layering option than other mid- layers that tend to strive to be light. The inner fabric is extremely soft, so it feels great next to skin. I was caught in a mild drizzle and the outer fabric did a great job beading water and not letting me get soaked. I 'm 5'10 '' 165 and it felt just a hair big on me. If it was colder( ice climbing or mountaineering) I would appreciate the room to layer. As the only mid- layer I was wearing it was just a slight bit big, but I did n't find that problematic at all.
5
pbetts
I am a rock climbing guide who guides across Colorado and Utah and its important for me to have gear that works well, is durable and looks professional. I was excited for this hoody to arrive as it checked a lot of those boxes for me. The large fits ideally for me at 6' 2 '', 215lbs and long arms. I have a bit of an issue in the past with MHW sizing as it seemed I was right in between a L and XL but this jacket fits wonderfully. The waterproofing is functional if you are stuck in some light rain, as the water will bead right off. The brushed grid interior gives the hoody that cozy feel which means you 'll never want to take it off. It is a lot denser of a hoody than I was expecting but that's a positive in my books. I really think this hoody is for anyone who wants a full zip mid layer jacket but it will find itself at home the most in the backpacks of you Spring rock climbers!
5
Daniel C
I am a search and rescue volunteer and climbing wall instructor who spends my time in Arizona and Washington state. Working in a wide range of environmental conditions requires that my gear does the same. I ordered the Keele grid hoody as large, my usual size, and I found it fit true to size. The Keele hoody has performed exceptionally while climbing, traveling, and hiking. The recycled polyester double weave fabric is my favorite feature of the Keele. Its brushed back grid interior is soft and wicks moisture well while the DWR coating on the exterior provides durability and water resistance. Even when soaked through, the Keele kept me warm climbing in less- than- ideal conditions. The three- piece hood functions incredibly well and I found it fit over or under a climbing helmet. I have thoroughly enjoyed using the Keele and recommend it as a base or mid layer for nearly any outdoor endeavor.
5
Harry
You can never have too many midlayers! This statement is always true, and that is one of the many reasons the Keele Grid hoody is something you should get. I 'm 5' 9 '' 165lbs. and the medium fits comfortably. It does n't have a really technical fit like an r1; it's a more relaxed fit. This jacket is the r1 that you can wear everyday, but with pockets and way more wind resistance. I 've been grabbing this every morning when I leave the house on all these cool Spring mornings. The hood is really comfortable, and I 've always been a half- zip kind of guy, but I 'm loving the full- zip jacket feel.

Simply the best jacket. Super light weight, I never have to worry about sacrificing weight for comfort. I just throw it in my bag now and do n't even think about it. It washes quite well too, as I run it through the ringer at work and camping. The down has not had a problem after about 45 washes with wool balls on regular temps. It's not water proof, but for light rains I have not had to throw on a rain jacket and have not felt that it was damp after.

This is a nice jacket—super versatile. I use it for night walks around the neighborhood and camping trips to the desert. It keeps me warm even on really cold nights. Definitely a jacket for specific shoulder season weather: colder, semi- dry days. It's a warm jacket that sadly does n't have pit zips to let heat out when the hiking/climbing gets going. I had to fully unzip the front and leave it open. Would n't use it as a rain jacket. Could be used as a light snow jacket. I 've been using it as a springtime( and fall) belay jacket and it works great. If you get caught in a drizzle the repellancy works shedding water and wind. Love the soft, stretch fabric that does n't restrict moment and allows me to wear just a t- shirt underneath if need be. Big pockets all with good zippers and it packs into its own pocket. The hand cuffs are interesting and remind me of cycling jackets that are longer on top to keep water off the back your hands. It has stretch band cuff on the underside along wrist. So far i have n't had issue with them, but i worry the elastic will one day no longer be tight and the cuff could be baggy and useless. Maybe they should have stuck with classic Velcro straps to adjust cuff tightness-- only time will tell. Overall i like the jacket as my backup for when i do n't expect bad weather but need something just in case. A great jacket for walking around town too.

Wore this shell in both warmer and cooler weather with layers underneath. Loved the removable powder skirt, colour is more purple and vibrant. Wore in rainy wet conditions and stayed dry. I 'm a muscular 5' 4 140 lbs and the medium fit great with lots of room for a thick fleece or puffer. It is a longer fit jacket.

Kept me super dry all day through a snowstorm. It's a BEAUTIFUL color, just as pictured. My only issue is it's really fitted through the waist, so it did n't give me a lot of room to move as I was boarding.
5
IHeartSnow
I tried this in a small and medium, small was a little too small in the shoulders and medium is perfect. I 'm 5' 7 and 140 for reference.

Great shell the only thing is I wish the lower pockets were vertical not horizontal. A zip pocket inside and large zipper pulls. Solid and sturdy shell.
5
Amber
Pretty quality. I am 5 ’ 10, 170, usually a large but I ordered a size up for extra steez. I like the length, it ’s a little boxy but roomy enough for a beacon, etc. The front middle pockets seem good for when I wear a backpack. I like the way the bottom pockets lie, stuff won ’ t fall out easily if they ’ re open. The hood also seems to be a good size for a helmet. My only concern is the zipper pulls are very thin and light so possibly not the most durable. Also don ’ t need the powder skirt as I am a bibs person so kind of wished it detached. Otherwise very functional and looks good!

I am unable to revise my previous negative review. Hence this second review, following up to share the wonderful customer care I have received after notifying the company of my dissatisfaction with the insulation factor in this jacket. Please be advised that this parka is not suitable for extremely cold conditions on its own. As the company explains, and of which I was completely unaware, this parka needs a lighter jacket under- layer in cold climates. It it roomy enough to comfortably accommodate under layers, which does indeed create a much warmer experience in extreme temperatures; a common occurrence where I live. We routinely experience temperatures well below zero.

Love this jacket. Bought it for warmer ski days and even on cold days with a few layers underneath it kept me pretty warm. It ’s long and covers my butt which I like when skiing and the collar is fleece lined so it ’s nice and soft when you zip it up all the way over your chin. Cool design too! Love it.
5

I purchased this coat to have more of a snowboarder look when I ’ m skiing. This coat delivers. It is long and loose at the waist, perfect for skiing. Great for warmer and dry ski days. I wouldn ’ t wear this if it is pouring or snowing.

I was looking for a new winter jacket that i could use for winter sports and this one hit the mark! It does run large, i bought a medium and it's pretty roomy. I 'm 5' 2 '' and it covers my butt quite well too.

This Parka is perfect! First time wearing it, I was on a hike up a 4, 000' mountain with single tempts and a stiff wind. I was completely cozy. No drafts up the bottom thanks to the added waist closure. With the hood and zipper up, my head was very protected. I have a small and there was enough room to wear a base layer and soft shell underneath. Love all the pockets, that are where they should be. It is also breathable which is a bonus when climbing up. Highly recommended!

Had an issue with my Stretch Ozonic and grabbed this. Holy cow- this jacket is insanely light and rather durable. I ’ ve put about 300ish rainy, muddy, sloppy miles on this jacket when gravel riding and it hasn ’ t missed a beat. Packs down into my bar bag with room to spare.

I really like this jacket so far. I am 6' 2 '' around 205- 210 and I bought the XL. I think this fits well if not a bit long in the arms. The jacket sleeves do down a bit past my knuckles and the back extends down pretty far, but its the perfect length to still have coverage on my back if I am bent forward( biking) or if I reach above my head. I guess that's what you want in a rain jacket, although if I lose a bit of weight I fear this jacket may become too baggy. The sleeves are velcro so they can be tightened in order to not droop down past your wrists.
5
jacob
Got this jacket for ski touring... Keeps my dry without being too hot. It packs down into a tiny bundle that weighs nothing, and takes up no room in the pack. I have also worn it on some resort days, and have been impressed with the durability for its weight, as I raked it through some tight trees at a decent speed
5
ryschult1
I purchased this specifically for the Breck Epic Mountain Bike Race. This is a 6 day mountain bike race that takes you high into the alpine for extended periods of time around Breckenridge Colorado. I needed a jacket that was light and packed down small but offered good protection and breathability during aerobic riding. This jacket checked all the boxes and I was so glad I had this jacket when the clouds opened up during one of the stages this year. The temperatures dropped rapidly and it was heavy downpour conditions for an extended period of time. If you are looking for a lightweight, very packable, and breathable jacket that will keep you dry even in heavy cold downpours look no further than this jacket. Highly recommended.

I pack this shell for literally everything. Rain on the way to the mountains; this shell. Backpacking? this shell. Biking with a chance of rain; hiking in the rain; packing this shell. Going to the store? This shell. I am a sucker for ultra lightweight and ultra breathable.... this is as good as it gets. I am on the tall slim side and current fit on Mountain Hardwear is geared slightly short stalky.

[ Very comfortable helmet with good fit and breathability- my ponytail fits through the back loop and I can adjust it exactly to my head. The only thing I would change is I wish the straps that go around the ears were adjustable too but its a minor detail.

Replacing an older TNF Goretex hard shell that held up for a very long time until the zippers failed. First impressions is that the number of pockets and their positioning is exactly the type of thing you did n't know you needed until you have it. Feels light and offers good maneuverability. Just roomy enough that layering with mid layer does n't feel bulky and stuffed. Although the armpit area is a bit snug, I have a Denali fleece so maybe the newer FutureFleece models will fit better. I have high hopes this jacket will hold up for years snowboarding here on our icy slopes. I 'm already liking the tech designed into this jacket.

This jacket has ended all desire to purchase anything else. Great quality and build. It ’s kept me warm and dry on chilly pow days and the vents keep me cool on the sunnier days. The oversized hood goes over my helmet and keeps me very cozy. Easily the best jacket I ’ ve invested in. It is a little big but that does allow me to layer comfortably while still maintaining mobility. I ’ d prefer this over a tighter fit and baggy is steezier anyway. If anything, I would prefer zippered internal pockets but that ’s just me being nit picky.

Awesome jacket only think I would change is making the powder skirt removable by zipper.

Solid shell, I tend to over heat and this jacket is perfect to protect against wind while not overheating.

This thing is great. First two days on the mountain with it were a balmy 50 degrees, and with vents, SUPER comfy temps. Last day was about 20 at the base, single digit wind chills up top and TONS of snowfall. Closed the vents, and was not cold. Waterproofing works great. 10/10 would recommend.

Yes, this jacket is lightweight, but that ’s what I needed! I bought it to stuff into my bike bag. It can be stuffed into the smallest space, yet pops out wrinkle free. It ’s great as a windbreaker, and as layered clothing. It has no hand pockets, but there is a zippered pocket in the chest. I ’ m normally a large, but in this jacket the XL fits best.

This is a simple, very lightweight windbreaker, that packs into its pocket. It's somewhat water resistant, and dries quickly, but not waterproof. It's in my backpack for every hike, and my carryon whenever I travel. It weighs almost nothing and when it's in it's pocket turned carry pouch, it's about the size of a 3 x 5 card and about an 1 '' thick. It even fits in a purse, a fanny pack, and many hydration packs. I always have one on my boats, whether sailing or rowing/kayaking and have been glad to have it hold in my body heat on a chilly airplane, or as a paper thin layer for skiing, both downhill and crosscountry. Worn as a mid- layer it makes a fleece slip on effortlessly. One of the most versatile pieces I own. I have both hooded jacket, and a no longer available pullover.
