You can wear in in the 50 ’s unzipped without getting too hot, and I ’ ve worn it in mid 30 ’s drizzle comfortably. Any cooler than 30 degrees and you ’ d probably want to throw on a fleece underneath. The Sherpa is a very nice touch, and I love the hood. This coat is more comfortable than my previous coat, time will tell if it also lasts me 20 years.

Ive bought a lot of jackets from the top brands over the years, but nothing matches Fjallraven for build quality and timelessness. After buying this I sold all my Rab, Montane, North Face etc jackets- this is better all round, warmer in the cold( totally wind resistant), more resistant to water, more breathable, tougher, it looks fantastic( always getting asked about it) and will probably last 20 years. It fits perfectly- though go a size down. Pockets are excellent esp the inside pocket, insulated hood works beautifully and still has room for a beanie if its really cold- only thing to note is there is no drawstring waist- presumably because of the down- but it doesnt impact anything. I took the plunge and am extremely happy so far with the purchase, The down filling almost self adjusts and keeps you at just the right temperature, but not too hot! I ordered both this jacket and the re- wool jacket. Both seem like nice, warm options for Wisconsin winters. I 'm 5'11 '' tall, 185 pounds. I 'm torso- tall, a bit of a rounded belly, with average shoulder width. This down jacket was ordered in size large, which is a bit too snug on me. The re- wool was purchased in size XL, which is perfect. Planning to return this down jacket and wait to see if the re- wool gets me through the winter. If I feel like I need a better water- resistant jacket, then I 'll consider buying this down coat in size XL. Again, seems like a great coat, solid quality, a nice hood, good sleeve length.

This was my first down jacket from Fjällräven and it was fantastic with a sweater underneath it and kept you warm in 20°F weather's to 10°F weather's in New York City. I 've used it on a hike before when it was snowing outside and the weather was around 10°, it kept me warm throughout the whole hike and never made me sweat at all because of the great insulation and circulation of rounding out where the warmth would be needed for my body. [ I bought this in Nov 2020 because I was looking for a lightweight winter jacket that I can wear as my primary jacket. I was worried it would n't be warm enough because it's not down but I can say that for non- active use, you could probably be comfortable in it down to 32 F or so. If you 're outdoors for extended periods of time( e. g. Standing outside for the bus/train, long walks), you might want something a little warmer. But for typical Philly/NYC winters, I think this is great. I also have a Fjallraven parka for when it's colder. If you 're being somewhat active, you could wear this comfortably in even colder temps. It does a good job of insulating the heat you generate from biking, jogging, brisk walking, etc. The fit is perfect for me! I have a long torso for someone my height( 5' 8 '') but it's nice and long, so I 'd guess that if you 're tall and skinny, this jacket would be great. For short torso people, it might feel long. The jacket looks great and feels like a great quality product. I hope to wear it for many years!

I purchased this jacket a few weeks ago and brought it with me last week on a 3 day fly fishing trip in western NC. The temperatures at first light on the water were in the mid 30's and this jacket kept my core warm and cozy! I 'm 5 '' 10 160 pounds and the medium was a perfect fit. Plenty of room under the arms and chest area for layering, easily adjustable hood, and plenty of room in the front pockets and the interior pocket too. You also have a adjustable cord around the waist, though I did not need to adjust the fit. The fleece padding found on the interior near your neck, chin and mouth is brilliant! I ’ m not sure why anyone gets cold in this jacket. I use this as my outer layer when I ski. All I need underneath is a tshirt and and an old sweatshirt and I ’ m perfect in 0°- 30°F weather. The temperature in Colorado has been hovering around 0°F the last few days, so on short excursions around, I stay plenty warm. Walking around campus this jacket is light and super comfortable. It allows me to not have to layer up much as it takes on the cold itself. I have the 12v system for all day riding on my Goldwing. I use this for days when I am off and on the bike a lot because I do n't have to worry about extra wires. Also great for motorcycles that do n't have a large enough electrical system plus other non- riding adventures. Typically using the lower power modes I all day warmth. I have an extra battery that I also carry and rarely need to use it. Wear it as a thermal layer under a coat for max protection and warmth. At times I will even wear it around the house instead of turning up the thermostat. I have the fleece vest version too.

Bought this heated jacket as a riding layer but first I wanted to test it out on a walk with my dog. My neighborhood is near the water so we get a cold wind off the water. This jacket kept me warm in 38 degree( including windchill) at 25%. I have n't had to turn it up yet, but I ca n't wait to try the different levels.

This is my second Gerbing Fleece product. My first was a 7V fleece heated sweater/jacket from Cabela's( made by Gerbing) which is still working great after 4 years. My new Gerbing Gyde Zenith Fleece Heated Jacket? Outstanding! This one has 4 heat levels instead of three and a larger capacity battery which is a welcome improvement. This heated jacket fits well, is well made and while I tried the highest heat setting just for fun, I doubt I will need to use high very often. This thing puts out some serious heat. For all day outdoor adventures, I would recommend buying a couple of extra batteries. I did. I would n't hesitate recommending this to anybody.

I bought myself and my daughter this coat and wore it on our trip to Iceland. We both loved it. It was warm and kept us dry in a light rain. It also cleaned off easily as my daughter got mud on hers. It was very light weight and took up very little space in our bags. It fit very well and was comfortable for horseback riding, hiking, and walking around the city. We both loved how it looked too.
