You can wear in in the 50 ’s unzipped without getting too hot, and I ’ ve worn it in mid 30 ’s drizzle comfortably. I bought based on the actual measurements of the jacket. I have a medium that is 22 '' in the chest. I usually wear L or XL in women's clothes, I 'm happy w this choice bc the jacket is a little more fitted which is good given the weight and bulk. The other thing I wondered was whether it stretches. I ’ ve had this amazing jacket for 3 years now so I feel qualified to review it. It is, as are all Fjallraven products, built to heirloom, durable quality. I ’ ve worn it.. a lot…in many weather situations and it still looks brand new! Regarding others reports that it is “ stiff ” …this is only relative to other, less robust fabrics. Example, I have the Kaitum jacket also, which is considerably lighter and more flexible but also isn ’ t quite as warm and wind impermeable. I found the sizing to be pretty true to size. I scored mine on an end of season sale and literally couldn ’ t be happier. Would ’ ve been worth every penny at full price! I wear this in winter with a long sleeve shirt and in fringe seasons and it rocks em all. I ’ d buy with confidence!

The poly insulation is just thick enough without being bulky, and plenty warm. I run hot, so this is great for me. I live in a wet climate, so water resistance is important. When I received this, the first test was to run water over my sleeve in the sink. The water ran right off. Recently had a scrap with a rose branch and the tough shoulder material was unaffected. This jacket was purchased as a gift. It's perfect for those with an outside job, like to ski or do other winter sports, and just a nice all around jacket. The warming element is amazing! My only issue as sizing. Seems to run a size larger. I purchased a Medium which is the true size for my nephew, and it overwhelmed him. I 'm exchanging for a Small. BTW, my husband has had his jacket for many years and absolutely loves it!

Nice quality and true size. Love the length and that the zipper, unzippers around the hips and does n't ride up when riding. I Have only used 1 time so far, weather is finally getting warmer!!. A cool morning in the 30's and traveling the turnpike, had the heat on low with a long sleeve t- shirt and another light weight jacket over top. Stayed nice and warm traveling at highway speed.
