If I wear it with the Chubbies comfort hoodie the arms are super tight. Fits much better with the movementum thin hoodie. I am 217lbs 6ft tall. I got in size large. I have been waiting for a hooded version of a packable puffer that was still cute, and after enjoying other Halfdays products for skiing, I was excited when I saw this in their spring collection this year. This jacket arrived several weeks ago and has been great for everything I 've thrown at it! It has kept me warm, dry, and cute on rainy commutes to work, mulching my garden, and taking my dog on a field trip to our local forest preserves. It has been comfortable in temps as low as 35 and as high as 65 or so for me, personally. I love how lightweight it is, and that is compacts down if it warms up during the day and I need to pack it away for my commute home. It is also roomy enough for layering underneath, and I enjoy the big pocket for storage in the back. 10/10 would recommend.

I love how it packs into itself and even turns into a pillow( seriously genius for flights or road trips). This jacket definitely rivals my Patagonia nanopuffer in warmth and comfort. The color is a perfect shade of brown IMO. I 'm 5'10 '' and it hits right at my waist. I wound up going with a size small because it's rather boxy( I 'm usually a M/L). Great travel jacket that packs down into nothing. Even wore it out into the rain and I stayed remarkably dry. Granted, I was running from the car to the store, but enough that I would 've felt it had it not been water resistant. I would definitely recommend. If you are a former military member and are familiar with the standard issued waffles we were issued for out winter gear then this might feel familiar to you. It feels lighter weight and more breathable while maintaining its insulation properties. And neat fun fact it ’s also 100% recycled. I ’ m a man of many shapes and sizes and the jacket really hides the fact that I was a military man. The thumb holes are subtle enough to be missed but once found it makes the jacket feel like one long fingerless glove. If I had kids I pass this to them. For now, this is mine.

I bought this specifically for big wall climbing and it was perfect for doing El Cap in a day( first trial run with the jacket!). It's light and packable, taking up minimal space in my day pack and was super easy to take on and off throughout the day between belaying and climbing. Pretty warm with a sizable hood. Pockets are roomy enough for an iPhone. I do wish it had a draw cord and packed into the pocket with a reversible tab for a carabiner( you can still pack it in the pocket, you just have to awkwardly clip to the zipper). One downside to the lightweight fabric is it's extremely fragile — I tore several small holes in the arms while mantling onto a granite boulder at the end of the day( the other down jackets I 've worn never had this problem, but they were much thicker). I also notice the feathers like to poke out of the fabric rather often, and have to frequently pull them back into the jacket. So: handle with care!

Measurements: 5' 6; 160lbs; M/8- 10 top with B cup; L/10- 12 bottoms Comparing the GW2 in Mojave Tan to UL in Golden Hour The UL:- lighter( duh)- runs big compared to the GW2- sheer, it looks splotchy/dirty- hood fits looser than the GW2- no draw cords- better elastic at the cuffs compared to GW2- SLIGHTLY brighter gold than Mojave Tan, beautiful color when the dark feathers are n't smudging it up* based on color alone, I would choose the UL. Mojave Tan has some pretty strong army brown vibes GW2- fits me better( even with fleece and base layers underneath)- sturdier, I am less afraid of brushing against a branch- draw cord around hips- Tighter fit hood( just around the face, the actual room within the hood seems the same)- Muted gold, pulls a little green Overall, I am going with the GW2. The fit is nicer, I am more worried about snags and holes than I am about saving a couple of ounces, and I miss the draw cord in the UL. It makes me sad though- that Golden Hour is so gorgeous! I would recommend this to only the ounce obsessed- it is a good jacket but not a HUGE upgrade form the GW2 to need the latest iteration.

[ Employee of mountainhardwear] I have been using multiple Kor products for a while and added this one to my closet recently. It has many uses but what I use it for is early morning hikes and rides. It adds just enough warmth over a base layer to reduce the bite of morning chill. The fabric is crazy stretchy and soft, and while I have n't been rough on this one, my insulated Kor Strata is a ski layer I have hammered all season with no issue. This thing is crazy packable too so it makes it easy to shove into a pocket or my lumbar pack.

There's a reason you see so many really favorable reviews of this jacket. It checks all the boxes. Packable, super light, blocks the wind, repels mist or light rain and looks great. Pull it out of your kit at a windy summit or the top of a pitch. If you are slim and athletic, it fits true to your usual size. I have a paunchy `` dad bod '', so I had to go up one size for midriff room. You wo n't have to, though. I also have the lined hoody version of this garment, and like it equally for belaying or just spectating at the base of the crag.

I haven ’ t tried it out in the rain but I did wear it for a day and can say that it does keep you warm! I love the pit zippers they allow you to breathe and conceal at the same time! Love the colors my only peeve is that a large is truly a large lol. If you want to wear a sweatshirt under a rain jacket this is perfect if you wear a medium size shirt youll want to up it in size only if you plan wearing something bulky under it if not, then stay to the size you wear. The other reason I got the large is my arms are longer than average and my shoulders broader than average as well! I wish it was tapered at the waist line a little bit but overall it ’s a cute jacket! I got it to take on a cruise in the UK from Amsterdam! 12 days of fun I hope! I believe this jacket will last a lifetime as I have several products from Cotopaxi! My backpack is 16 years old and still looks new and I use it a lot! If it gets dirty I just throw it in the washer and it comes out brand new! Have fun exploring the world!

I 've had this jacket for a few weeks now, and I 'm pleased with the performance. It's light and compact enough for my needs, and the stretch makes it comfortable to wear even with a pack over it, and when I 'm moving fast. I have the Black version and will use it for hiking in the Pacific Northwest, but also as an emergency shell while travelling for business.

[ Employee of mountainhardwear] Rain jackets are simple things. We expect them to be lightweight, packable, breathable and to not fail. But, when you add simple but effective features like stretch fabric and pit zips? Now you 've got my business. The Stretch Ozonic fits well leaving a little room for layering underneath. Some rain jackets are like saunas for me, so when I start to steam I love having pit zips to regulate my personal humidity. This does it for me.
