[ Solid design by TNF! The Nuketo jacket is perfect for fall evening strolls with the dog, sitting by the campfire or light hikes in the mountains! Fit is true to size, I am 125, 5 '' 6 '' and a small fits perfect. This is your jacket to grab to cut the cold out, yet nice enough to transition out for a night in cooler temps. Stylish fit!

[ I was n't too sure initially how much I 'd love this jacket, but honestly, I 'm sold! I was really impressed with how lightweight and breathable this jacket is. It doesn ’ t feel bulky at all, is easy to throw on over almost anything, and it still does a great job of cutting the wind. I even wore it in warm, pretty humid weather and was surprised that I didn ’ t feel overly hot or weighed down in it. If I had to be hyper critical, it did feel like it runs about one size too big. I compared my exact measurements against Northface's size chart, but it feels a bit large, boxy through the shoulders. I do n't mind this too much though as I 'm usually laying it over something. It moves easily and packs down really well, so it would be great for travel or throwing in a backpack when the weather might change. I think it ’s best for hiking, walking, travel, or everyday use when you want some wind protection without a heavy jacket. Overall, it ’s a really versatile layer that ’s easy to keep with you. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

[ I give this jacket a 10/10. I have had many different jackets and they are not as versatile as this one. I was able to move from cold clinic setting to outdoor soccer setting and still be comfortable. It doesn ’ t feel heavy but keeps you at a good temp. It ’s easily to clean if you have kids like me who often spill things on you. I wore a long sleeve and my scrub top under and it was still great. Able to layer and the fit is true to size. If you ’ re in the need for a comfortable/versatile work/leisure jacket this is the one!

[ I received the North Face Nuketo Synthetic Jacket for free in exchange for my honest review. This jacket is a great addition to any wardrobe, whether that wardrobe is geared towards urban living or the outdoor adventure lifestyle. I tested this jacket during the cooler evenings in Truckee whilst star gazing, and in over air conditioned, absolutely freezing, office meetings rooms. I thought the slightly more boxy/semi- cropped fit of the jacket was super cute and very flattering with a pair of jeans, but also looked great when I wore it with a casual pair of work pants. With that being said, I know cropped/boxy looks better on me because I have a long torso. The insulation was just enough for a 50° evening with a light sweatshirt layer underneath without feeling too tight or restrictive. It fit true to size- I went with an XS and that felt perfect for me. I definitely think this is a great shoulder season jacket based on the amount of insulation it has and the coverage. The jacket also moves really well and I would absolutely grab this and throw it in my shoulder bag or day bag if I needed some extra warmth. It ’s probably not the jacket I would reach for when backpacking because I prefer a hooded jacket and one that packs down a little smaller. Overall, it ’s a very comfy and cozy down jacket that I look forward to wearing more this fall.

[ I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I enjoyed this jacket very much. It ’s comfortable, warm and stylish. I wore it on a high elevation hike on the shoulder of Mt. Rainier and on a beach hike. The beach hike was warm because it ’s August! Once the sun went down it got chilly and my North Face came out! It was cute, comfortable and warm. The mountain hike was much colder but the jacket kept me warm without being too bulky. It allows for easy movement and has spacious pockets including an extra zipper chest pocket. Being summer, I wasn ’ t wearing an abundance of layers so the jacket was great, but it might not accommodate extra clothing underneath. I feel like it ran a tiny bit small for layering. The sleeves were a touch short on me as well. Consider sizing up if you have long arms or live in a cold climate and plan on lots of layers. However, if you ’ re just looking for a cute, stylish puffy to wear around town, it should be perfect as- is. There is a simple elastic band around the wrist, vs a cuff with a snap for gloves like some NF puffers have. Overall, love the look, comfort and warmth! It ’s going to make winter a little more fun!

[ Packing for travel, you want a jacket that can handle the cold, wind, and rain yet still fit in your travel bag using minimal space. Marmot solved all that with this jacket. I love my jacket! With both inside& outside pockets and even a hood that actually rides well on your head, everyone should take a look at this jacket before spending your money.

[[ Employee of marmot] Bought this jacket for a summer trip full of hiking and urban exploring across Norway. This jacket held up and kept me dry through everything that we encountered-- misty, windy, foggy, rainy-- and it fit great layered over a fleece on the colder days. When the pace picked up or we were going uphill, the pit- zips were great additions to help keep me comfortable and prevent overheating. It also packs down super small so it was easy to bring along on every excursion in a daypack just in case it started to rain.

One of the best parts of this jacket is how well it holds up in gusty conditions. Even without layering heavily, I could feel noticeably less wind- chill than with my old softshell. Very happy with that. The hand pockets are secure, the sleeve pocket is handy for small stuff, and mesh pocket bags help with breathability. The drawcord hem and elastic cuffs let me tighten things up nicely when wind picks up.

The jacket is more lightweight than I imagined and seems quite thin. My main concern about that is I hope it does not rip easily. Time will tell. Also, I kind of wanted a hooded jacket for fall, but it is warmer than it seems like it would be. It looks great& I like the light blue color. I had been monitoring North Face jacket prices at Dick's( had gift cards), and so I bought this one for the price savings offer.

Tested out the new UL Premonition during my training in Salt Lake City and my recent Makalu expedition. Two of the best features of the jacket are its weight and packability — it is incredibly light and easy to pack into my backpack, especially when carrying a lot of gear and equipment up to higher camps. The jacket shielded me from rain, snow, and high winds at higher altitudes. It ’s highly mobile and easy to wear. Particularly love the internal long zippered pocket — perfect for storing important devices like iPhone or Garmin inReach.

I bought this in the early summer bc I was in desperate need of a new rain jacket( my old one was literally crumbling apart!). This past weekend I assisted in the rescue 7 people who were capsized in a pontoon boat. I dove into the water with phone and all in the pocket of this jacket. After the scary event ended I took my phone out of my pocket and was shocked to still see the phone screen activated! The phone still needed about 7 hours to completely dry out and let me charge it but it ’s completely fine now. Obviously this jacket isn ’ t meant to be submerged but the saving the phone of it all felt worth mentioning. This jacket is also WARM and I don ’ t feel like raindrops are still making me cold through the jacket. It ’s also a superb wind breaker. I wore it on a 5k ft hike and the wind at the top was bearable in this jacket. It ’s expensive but it WORKS.

[ I ’ ve been really impressed with the Nuketo. The first thing that stood out to me is how lightweight it feels for how much warmth it provides. It ’s also surprisingly breathable, which makes it really comfortable for everyday wear. The fit is true to size and has plenty of room through the shoulders and chest, which I appreciate since I have a broader chest. It moves well without feeling restrictive, and there ’s still enough room to wear a hoodie or other layers underneath. It ’s extremely comfortable, easy to move in, and has the clean, stylish look I expect from The North Face. I think it ’s a great option for cool to cold weather when you want good warmth without a heavy jacket. For me, the biggest standout is how well it combines warmth, breathability, and such a lightweight feel. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

[ I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. My first impression of the Nuketo was that it was comfortable and fit well. It feels like a jacket that sits somewhere between an everyday jacket and a more technical outdoor layer. I would probably consider it more of an everyday or casual jacket, but the fit and low profile make it useful for short hikes and as a layer under a shell for colder activities. I really like that it is n't overly puffy. It provides enough warmth for cooler weather but still leaves room to layer underneath or over it. I 've found it comfortable to wear for long periods and easy to move around in. The overall style is simple enough that I would have no problem wearing it around town, but it still works well for outdoor use. The DWR finish is nice for light moisture, especially when wearing it as an outer layer. I also like the feel of the outer fabric and stitching. They seem more durable than some of the lightweight materials I 've used on other insulated jackets. I 've had other puffy jackets get small rips or punctures pretty easily, so I would have less concern about stuffing the Nuketo into a backpack on an overnight trip and having it catch on a zipper or something sharp. I have n't had the jacket long enough to comment on long term durability or how it will perform through multiple seasons, but I can see myself using it regularly through the fall and winter. For me, the biggest benefit is the versatility. It's comfortable enough for everyday wear, but still practical for hiking and mountain trips, especially when I want one jacket that can serve several purposes.

[ I recently received my new Nuketo jacket and took it to rappel a waterfall nearby to keep me dry( er) and warm. The jacket repelled the water from the waterfall while I was rappelling down, keeping my upper body nice and dry and warm. I wish there was a little bit of flex or stretch built into the jacket – It would make it even better for outdoor activities that require big movements like rock climbing or canyoneering. It does have slightly looser fit though, which helps. The cuffs around the wrist are a bit large, which makes it easier to wear layers underneath, or if you have thick forearms and wrists( which I don ’ t have). This jacket provides a medium amount of warmth, and the fit allows you to wear layers underneath if you need additional warmth. It packs down decently for not having down insulation inside. I think it's a great jacket for cooler spring/fall days and colder weather up in the mountains. On really cold days, this jacket can be a mid layer while wearing a base layer and a more weatherproof shell. I ’ m excited to wear it this fall and winter as I go through canyons and hike in the mountains. As a side note, sometimes I wear this jacket at my desk at work-- the AC in the building is sometimes functions too well and I get cold. This jacket helps me not get too cold while at my desk. If I were to make 3 changes to the design it would be tighter cuffs, a way to cinch the waist, and add some type of stretch fabric where you move the most, but that said – I still really like the jacket as it is now. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

[ The North Face Nuketo synthetic insulated jacket is a great jacket for cool mornings! Lightweight and really keeps the wind out! I wore the jacket in about 60- 65 degree weather and a light breeze and you could n't feel the cool breeze! It helps warm your core up by keeping your body heat in the jacket! The jacket is asthetically pleasing, not bulky so your movement can be natural. The sizing was good I 'm 5'9, average build and I wore a large and had just the right amount of coverage for my arms, sleeves were n't short when moving my arms! There was enough room under the jacket that if I wanted to I could wear a hoodie underneath it. I 'd recommend this jacket as a everyday jacket for the Fall or Spring temperatures, wearing it to go to work or run errands. I 'd even recommend this jacket to people going camping or recreating outdoors in cooler high elevation areas during the summer, like the mountains here in Colorado, where temperatures are upper 40s low 50s but then warm up during the day. This is a great jacket to wear if you need to stop the wind and just keep your core warm but you do n't need a huge jacket! I have not wore it in rain yet but I think it 'd be ok for light sprinkle rain, not downpour rain! Thanks to The North Face and Expertvoice for giving me this jacket to test out in exchange for my honest review.

[ I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I ’ ve really enjoyed wearing The North Face Nuketo Synthetic Insulated Jacket during my everyday routine in cooler weather. It ’s comfortable, lightweight, and provides a good amount of warmth without feeling bulky. I especially like that it ’s easy to move around in and works well on its own or layered over a shirt or light sweatshirt. The fit feels true to size and gives me enough room for comfortable movement without looking oversized. The style is clean and versatile, making it easy to wear for everyday errands, outdoor activities, or casual outings. What stood out most to me was the balance between warmth and mobility. It kept me comfortable in cooler conditions while still allowing me to move freely. I also appreciate that it doesn ’ t feel overly heavy when wearing it for extended periods. I think this jacket is best suited for anyone looking for a versatile everyday insulated jacket for fall, winter, and cooler- weather activities. It would be a great addition to a casual outdoor wardrobe and is especially useful when you want warmth without the bulk of a heavier winter jacket. Overall, I think the Nuketo offers a great combination of comfort, warmth, fit, style, and versatility. Based on my experience, I would recommend it to someone looking for a reliable jacket for everyday cooler- weather use.

[ I love this jacket. It's a perfect weight to layer warmth underneath, or keep yourself cool on warm rainy days. It fits beautifully. I prefer light colors for visibility in stormy conditions, so I got the white/tan one. The internal drawstring at the waist is flattering. The hood WILL NOT blow down in wind. I wish they did n't use so much velcro on the front tab covering the zipper, but I do like the low profile effect of it, so it's a wash. I am 5'8 '', 125# and I got the small.

I bought this on sale to replace a Columbia Titanium rain jacket that I had used for several years. This is a little heavier material and should make another great rain jacket for all activities. I currently have another Columbia rain jacket in black and gray that I use for “ good ”. Columbia never disappoints.

TNF has so many women's jackets that are form- fitting, but I love this one because of how boxy it is. It feels less restrictive and allows more comfort when layering tops underneath. It also looks more stylish, in my opinion!

[ `` I 've been wearing this Columbia jacket daily since the start of Minnesota's brutal winter, and it has become my absolute go- to. During a recent- 9°F hike, I was amazed at how warm I stayed. The jacket's insulation is top- notch, and the waterproof exterior kept me dry during a sudden snow squall. The roomy fit accommodates my layers comfortably, and the multiple pockets are perfect for my phone, gloves, and other essentials. I 've tried other brands, but none have matched the warmth, comfort, and durability of this Columbia jacket. If you live in a cold climate, this is a must- have. ''

[ I surprised my husband with this jacket and he absolutely loves it. I was happy to find a great selection in his size. It checked all his boxes. It has a hood without fur. It's a perfect fit. It's not bulky. It's nice and warm however very lightweight. We could n't be happier with this jacket.

I ended up returning and getting the S instead. Overall I like the fit, the style, it goes with everything, there's enough room to layer, and does n't get hot! Sometimes the layers want to go with the jacket, so it's not as graceful if you take it off in public. But that's a minor very complaint. The middle pouch pocket is shallower, so it's perfect for smaller items and you do have a big through- pocket like a hoodie too.

I use this as an everyday jacket for plain clothes LE work in PA. It is insanely warm for how light weight it is. Water repellency and wind resistance is excellent. Excellent balance between weight and warmth. Only downfall is the length makes it difficult to get to a sidearm when zipped up.

Impressive 3- 1 after wearing out my North Face 3- 1 system I have wore for years. Bought this to replace it and I am happy with what my research settled upon. Love the zip out silk liner as a stand alone lite duty jacket, a nd the shell works excellent as a rain cover. This is a great system for a beginner or an expert in the field or out on the town. Size runs true and is a little longer than expected but I did not mind the extra length to cover my hind end.

I 've had my RG foray for a little over 3 years and it's been pretty good to me. I 've mostly worn the puffer by itself in cool weather. There's little wind resistance to it, so be warned. Otherwise it's a good standalone layer on even the coldest days for short exposure times. I 've had to wear the jacket on several rainy days, and the full system during an Easter trip to the UK in' 23. Scotland, Wales, and northern England are n't known for great weather in March and this trip was no exception. We endured near constant wind and periodic rain& sleet. When we went to London it rained for several hours one day and we were in it at its hardest. The fabric shed water well without getting soaked, as I 'd expect from OR. All in all, it's a good buy.

I needed a jacket that would perform in a variety of extreme environments when going inside was not an option. This jacket filled this role perfectly and has kept me dry while exploring the north Maine Woods more recently while hiking through the cloud rain forest in Costa Rica. On a cool rainy day, you can keep warm with all the vents closed and a puffy underneath. While in warmer humid weather, just open the massive vents on the sides and keep dry while still being able to `` breath '' and stop sweat from soaking you from the inside out. It is very weight efficient, easily packed, and well cut for the active user. The chest pocket is also a favorite feature of mine to safely store a cell phone while on the move yet keeping it easily accessible.

The new 3L Fabric is a huge improvement over the older Foray, it's robust, has just enough stretch, and overall is impressive. I was somewhat hesitant as they moved away from Gore but seeing it in person I am 100 percent a fan and it's better in every way. The only improvement, and OR please make this happen, is the branding. Make a Blacked out version without the contrasting logos, that would put this jacket as the best among the best.

I 've had this jacket for a few weeks now, and I 'm pleased with the performance. It's light and compact enough for my needs, and the stretch makes it comfortable to wear even with a pack over it, and when I 'm moving fast. I have the Black version and will use it for hiking in the Pacific Northwest, but also as an emergency shell while travelling for business.

[ Employee of mountainhardwear] Rain jackets are simple things. We expect them to be lightweight, packable, breathable and to not fail. But, when you add simple but effective features like stretch fabric and pit zips? Now you 've got my business. The Stretch Ozonic fits well leaving a little room for layering underneath. Some rain jackets are like saunas for me, so when I start to steam I love having pit zips to regulate my personal humidity. This does it for me.

[ I bought this as a gift for my husband for an upcoming trip. He is 6' and around 190 lbs, and I got him the XL. The sleeves are a bit long but they do have velcro to adjust and tighten them around the wrist. It's roomy but great for layering, though I think if he were ever to pull out the inner layer of the thin down shell, the outer jacket would be huge on him. The length is great for his longer torso, it covers his butt well. He had requested no hood and this one is detachable( not easy to find a decent ski jacket without a hood!) so another win!

I just got this jacket, but by first impressions of use... WOW! This thing is exactly what I wanted. I have a shell for warmer days but had to bundle too many layers to stay warm on those cold days. I run very hot while skiing, I get to the bottom and need to strip or open all my layers to not overheat. This jacket gives you breathability while carrying the insulation that keeps you warm on the chair up. Literally the only thing that could be improved is the size of the armpit ventilation. Like I mentioned above I run hot so I would have enjoyed more airflow when I open the vents. But that tiny detail is the only thing I can find at fault and it's more of a personal preference. Bravo Mountain Hardwear!

I used this coat as a great shell layer while climbing the Grand Teton and I would n't wish for anything else! It was perfect!

This shell has proven a perfect addition to time in the elements where protection is critical and weight is a factor. I have used this on a several volcano ski missions this past summer and spring. It packs light and provides the summit protection needed when wind is ripping and body temps are dropping. Marmot allotted a good amount of pockets without going overboard and the pit zips provide ventilation that allows you to tune your protection on the move without having to stop to layer up or down. When it comes to rain protection, it's hard to beat Gore. It also vents well for active pursuits.

[ This jacket is a great all around windbreaker. The fit is oversized and can fit over a lot of layers+ allows a full range of motion. The snaps and zipper are solid. Arms are about average length/what you ’ d expect. The color is a great vibrant green. As to this jacket ’s waterproof- ness I would probably suggest something billed as an actual rain jacket. I think this one could stand up to a drizzle to light rain for a set amount of time, but wouldn ’ t be what I grabbed in anything more. I gave the jacket five stars because I was looking for a windbreaker and this fits the bill.

[ I 'm 5' 7 '' and about 170lbs. I bought a large to put multiple layers under for alpine use and the size was just about right. A little snug down around the hip area, but okay. [ Fit is superb. Comfort and breathability is awesome. Never a drop of water incursion. However: on the coldest of days, the gustiest winds sneak through. This rain jacket is super impressive. When it comes to traveling, camping, hiking, or even exploring new cities, countries, etc. You ca n't beat the portability of this jacket. It is super thin and light making it easy to roll up and store into any type of bag weather it's a backpack, purse, or even large fanny pack. Even for being so light and thin, it easily stops water from getting through. I 've had zero issues with any type of moisture getting inside either due to prolonged periods of water exposure or leaks through any seals and stitching. I will say, because it's so thin, in colder weather, you would need a warmer layer underneath to act as insulation. That being said, you might need to get one size up than normal so it can fit over any layers you need. Also, if you are traveling through any thick brush or scraping up against rocks, you need to be careful about scraping or snagging any sharp/rough surfaces too hard to prevent any micro/macro tears in the material. Being so thin, it's not super durable, but it's not very easily torn either. Overall fantastic product and highly recommend

This is a super light, rain shedding jacket. Is it 100% water proof? No, but no rain jacket is. It ’s breathable, and with proper mid layer moister management, you can hike all day in the rain and be as dry as you would be in any other rain jacket. Pairs great with alpha direct layer underneath.

When selecting an all weather hiking jacket, consider features such as waterproof or water-resistant materials to keep you dry in wet conditions. Look for breathability to ensure comfort during physical activity, as well as insulation for warmth in colder temperatures. Adjustable hoods, cuffs, and hems can provide a better fit and help block out wind and rain. Additionally, pockets for storage and reflective elements for visibility can enhance functionality and safety during your hikes.
To choose the right size for an all-weather hiking jacket, start by measuring your chest, waist, and hips to find your body measurements. Consult the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer, as sizes can vary between brands. Consider the type of layering you plan to wear underneath the jacket; if you intend to wear thicker layers, you may want to size up for a more comfortable fit. Additionally, pay attention to the jacket's fit style, such as whether it is designed for a more relaxed or athletic silhouette.
All weather hiking jackets are typically made from a combination of waterproof and breathable materials to protect against various weather conditions. Common materials include synthetic fabrics like nylon and polyester, which offer durability and resistance to moisture. Many jackets also feature insulation materials for added warmth, as well as specialized coatings or membranes that enhance water resistance while allowing for ventilation. Overall, having a waterproof hiking jacket enhances your ability to enjoy the outdoors regardless of the elements.

Features such as ventilation openings, mesh linings, and moisture-wicking fabrics can enhance airflow and comfort during physical activity. Additionally, consider the jacket's fit; a more relaxed fit can improve breathability by allowing air to circulate more freely. It's important to balance breathability with waterproofing to ensure you stay dry and comfortable in varying weather conditions.
An all weather hiking jacket can offer insulation for colder temperatures, depending on its design and materials. Many jackets in this category feature insulation layers that help retain body heat while still providing protection against wind and moisture. Look for options that include features like fleece linings or thermal materials to enhance warmth during chilly hikes. Additionally, some jackets may have adjustable features to help trap heat more effectively.

They provide protection against rain, wind, and varying temperatures, making them suitable for both short day hikes and longer treks. These jackets often feature breathable materials to ensure comfort during physical exertion, allowing for a range of movement. Additionally, they can be useful for camping, backpacking, and other outdoor adventures where weather conditions may change unexpectedly.
To ensure the durability of an all-weather hiking jacket, it is important to follow proper care instructions, such as washing it with mild detergents and avoiding fabric softeners that can damage the material. Regularly inspect the jacket for any signs of wear, such as fraying seams or damaged zippers, and address these issues promptly. Additionally, storing the jacket in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight can help maintain its integrity over time. Finally, consider using a waterproofing spray to enhance its resistance to moisture and extend its lifespan.
