Tested out the new UL Premonition during my training in Salt Lake City and my recent Makalu expedition. Two of the best features of the jacket are its weight and packability — it is incredibly light and easy to pack into my backpack, especially when carrying a lot of gear and equipment up to higher camps. The jacket shielded me from rain, snow, and high winds at higher altitudes. It ’s highly mobile and easy to wear. Particularly love the internal long zippered pocket — perfect for storing important devices like iPhone or Garmin inReach.

[ Employee of mountainhardwear] This is my go- to lightweight waterproof shell. Basically like a feather in my backpack, there is no reason not to bring it. Alpine climbing, mountain biking, hustle footing. I live in the PNW and rain is almost guaranteed on every outing- got ta have this.

5 Jayrae__
I bought this in the early summer bc I was in desperate need of a new rain jacket( my old one was literally crumbling apart!). This past weekend I assisted in the rescue 7 people who were capsized in a pontoon boat. I dove into the water with phone and all in the pocket of this jacket. After the scary event ended I took my phone out of my pocket and was shocked to still see the phone screen activated! The phone still needed about 7 hours to completely dry out and let me charge it but it ’s completely fine now. Obviously this jacket isn ’ t meant to be submerged but the saving the phone of it all felt worth mentioning. This jacket is also WARM and I don ’ t feel like raindrops are still making me cold through the jacket. It ’s also a superb wind breaker. I wore it on a 5k ft hike and the wind at the top was bearable in this jacket. It ’s expensive but it WORKS.

[ Great jacket. I have put it to the test and it has held up with no leaks. However, it does run a bit larger on size. I highly recommend this jacket!

[ Packing for travel, you want a jacket that can handle the cold, wind, and rain yet still fit in your travel bag using minimal space. Marmot solved all that with this jacket. I love my jacket! With both inside& outside pockets and even a hood that actually rides well on your head, everyone should take a look at this jacket before spending your money.

5 Mariz
[ This jacket is everything i payed for! Windproof and waterproof, it is the lightweight champion of all jackets. Easy to pack everywhere with great venting features and overall comfort. Stylistically impecable also! Check me it out!

5 Civil_ian
[ It ’s unnoticeable weight makes it a perfect item to leave in my bag when I commute to work for surprise showers and and a great to keep in a bag for hikes just in case The durability isn ’ t compromised either. After getting to the top of camels hump in northern VT, it started raining shorty after. Parts of this meant we were scrambling down rocks in a down pour. Theres 0 damage to the jacket!

5 thefriedman
[[ Employee of marmot] Bought this jacket for a summer trip full of hiking and urban exploring across Norway. This jacket held up and kept me dry through everything that we encountered-- misty, windy, foggy, rainy-- and it fit great layered over a fleece on the colder days. When the pace picked up or we were going uphill, the pit- zips were great additions to help keep me comfortable and prevent overheating. It also packs down super small so it was easy to bring along on every excursion in a daypack just in case it started to rain.

Perfect for everyday use in the summer to block the sun and in the spring. The fit is perfect and the material is made with supreme material. Love, love love.

5 Brent O.
I do n't know what dark wizard lord Cotopaxi made a deal with to find this space material, but it is the softest thing I 've ever had on my body, and I 've had literal baby faces on my body before. It's so comfortable I want to wear it even when it's crazy hot outside, and unsurprisingly it's cool and cozy even then. I bought one in all three colors available and no I 'm not embarrassed about that in the least.

5 Ed S.
Very good for days in the 60s or to have handy for days in the 70s when it cools down.

5 Ben M.
This jacket is great, it reminds me of the older version of this called the Paray but this one is a little more stretchy, the sleeves were a little baggy and longer than normal so I went down to a medium. The snap button is awesome for arm mobility for tennis and venting.

5 Anand N.
Bought the seed color in Medium. Runs true to size. Photo green was a bit darker than the actual one. Would be good to see more colors as options. Fits well and i have been using it this spring for some of the local hikes in the bay area. So far so good. Will have to see how it holds up for the road ahead.

I purchased this jacket a few weeks ago and brought it with me last week on a 3 day fly fishing trip in western NC. The temperatures at first light on the water were in the mid 30's and this jacket kept my core warm and cozy! I 'm 5 '' 10 160 pounds and the medium was a perfect fit. Plenty of room under the arms and chest area for layering, easily adjustable hood, and plenty of room in the front pockets and the interior pocket too. You also have a adjustable cord around the waist, though I did not need to adjust the fit. The fleece padding found on the interior near your neck, chin and mouth is brilliant! This soft material is fantastic when you need to zip the jacket completely up. This jacket is ethically sourced from 100% recycled polyamide and packs into its pocket or a small back. I 'm very happy with this purchase, well done FjallRaven!

5 Christopher P.
It's so soft and warm and looks great. Just one question. What does it pack into in the video?

5 Grant G.
This is by far the warmest and most comfortable puffy I ’ ve owned. Compared to other brands, this jacket has a higher collar and slightly longer sleeves and back which really seems to help hold the heat. It feels like great quality for a packable puffy. I ’ m 6 ’ 1, 180 lbs and size large fits well layered with a sweater.

5 Jack
I ’ m not sure why anyone gets cold in this jacket. I use this as my outer layer when I ski. All I need underneath is a tshirt and and an old sweatshirt and I ’ m perfect in 0°- 30°F weather. The temperature in Colorado has been hovering around 0°F the last few days, so on short excursions around, I stay plenty warm. Walking around campus this jacket is light and super comfortable. It allows me to not have to layer up much as it takes on the cold itself. It ’s also very durable for a down jacket, I ’ ve clipped trees and crashed hard when skiing, had dogs jump on me, cats claw me, and no damage so far.

5 Curtis R
Super light and packable. It kept me nice and dry when needed. I found it runs small if you intend to put it over layers, recommend size up over a puffer like nano puff.

5 Joseph V
This rain jacket is super impressive. When it comes to traveling, camping, hiking, or even exploring new cities, countries, etc. You ca n't beat the portability of this jacket. It is super thin and light making it easy to roll up and store into any type of bag weather it's a backpack, purse, or even large fanny pack. Even for being so light and thin, it easily stops water from getting through. I 've had zero issues with any type of moisture getting inside either due to prolonged periods of water exposure or leaks through any seals and stitching. I will say, because it's so thin, in colder weather, you would need a warmer layer underneath to act as insulation. That being said, you might need to get one size up than normal so it can fit over any layers you need. Also, if you are traveling through any thick brush or scraping up against rocks, you need to be careful about scraping or snagging any sharp/rough surfaces too hard to prevent any micro/macro tears in the material. Being so thin, it's not super durable, but it's not very easily torn either. Overall fantastic product and highly recommend

5 Rf38585
This is a super light, rain shedding jacket. Is it 100% water proof? No, but no rain jacket is. It ’s breathable, and with proper mid layer moister management, you can hike all day in the rain and be as dry as you would be in any other rain jacket. Pairs great with alpha direct layer underneath.

5 Finn
This jacket served me well for 10 years of steady use every winter/fall and I finally replaced it. The quality is superb, the new Pertex Shield on the shoulders/arms gives it a much more durable feel. It has a premium feel in the hand and is a nice blend of weight/durability. Fits great with layers underneath, but also works well as a mid- layer under a shell. I 'm a fan of the new color options too. In summary, this is a durable, lightweight, packable and versatile jacket that does its job in the back- country but transitions seamlessly to the front- country. Highly recommended.

5 Arion H
I like the cut of OR jackets. I am 6 ’ 1 ” 235. The Helium Down does not disappoint regarding warmth. It has that soft down feeling with added structural integrity where one might carry a pack. The gusseting in the arm allow for a full range of motion without much rise. I have long arms and can still draw out without the jacket tightening too much in the back. If for some reason I found myself in dire need of more warmth I could wear it underneath a jacket or shell because it could compress enough to almost be a base layer and not sacrifice its loft. At which point I am certain to roast.

5 Travis B
This jacket I has an incredible warmth to weight ratio. The reinforced areas are positioned perfectly for use with backpacks and tactical gear. Very comfortable and warm. Packs up very nicely if you ’ re a backpacker and space conscious.

5 Tesh614
Love that this uses a fairly high fill power down( 800+), making it warm and space/weight efficient. I have higher fill power items like MH ghost whisperer UL( 1000 FP), but most UL garments use fragile fabrics and do n't have any weather protection, so they 're really limited to cold, dry weather. The Helium Down Jacket has weather resistance in key areas due to the Pertex Diamond Fuse panels, which makes it more versatile. It wo n't be a great outer layer if you 're expecting heavy rain, but I wear it by itself in a light mist or under a shell if heavy rain is expected. The Pertex panels are a little crinkly, but not as loud as some reviews suggest. I found the sizing to be accurate. This is quickly becoming a staple of my wardrobe from fall through spring. Thanks OR!

5 Mark C
Have had great experiences with OR gear. Have n't put this to use yet, but zippers and fabric looks like they will hold up through several winters. Contrasting zippers and two shades of blue make this stand out.

I 've had this jacket for a few weeks now, and I 'm pleased with the performance. It's light and compact enough for my needs, and the stretch makes it comfortable to wear even with a pack over it, and when I 'm moving fast. I have the Black version and will use it for hiking in the Pacific Northwest, but also as an emergency shell while travelling for business.

5 Uncle Rob
[ Employee of mountainhardwear] Rain jackets are simple things. We expect them to be lightweight, packable, breathable and to not fail. But, when you add simple but effective features like stretch fabric and pit zips? Now you 've got my business. The Stretch Ozonic fits well leaving a little room for layering underneath. Some rain jackets are like saunas for me, so when I start to steam I love having pit zips to regulate my personal humidity. This does it for me.

5 Nate
Light and very packable. Medium fit well for 5'10 ''', 165 lbs. Loose enough for an extra layer underneath.

5 John
The most comfortable rain jacket I ’ ve owned. Its only been on one hiking trip so far, but it did its job as expected. Typical mountain hard wear high quality materials and construction. 10/10 recommend this rain jacket to anyone who is in the market for one.

[ Employee of mountainhardwear] I 'm a big fan of the Ghost Whisperer, and I have been wearing them pretty much every day, in the winter, for the last 8 years. The new UL takes it to the next level. It's lighter but warmer, which is crazy! This is for sure one of MHW's unique and milestone garments, and a must have for anyone who likes being warm. There's definitely no excuse for not carrying it with you, it's tiny.

5
[ Employee of mountainhardwear] light, compact, warm I wear it or have it in my backpack every day

5 Garrett Madison
This jacket is a great improvement upon the previous Ghost Whisperer jacket in that it's lighter and warmer. I ca n't think of a better jacket to keep warm while minimizing weight in the mountains. I also end up wearing it in town as it's very comfortable. I think this is the only 1000 down fill power jacket available on the market today.

5 Karl
Super light and super warm! Only comments for 2. 0 would be a double- sided zipper on the pocket so you can stuff the jacket in it, and a drawstring on the hood.

[ Employee of mountainhardwear] I have been using multiple Kor products for a while and added this one to my closet recently. It has many uses but what I use it for is early morning hikes and rides. It adds just enough warmth over a base layer to reduce the bite of morning chill. The fabric is crazy stretchy and soft, and while I have n't been rough on this one, my insulated Kor Strata is a ski layer I have hammered all season with no issue. This thing is crazy packable too so it makes it easy to shove into a pocket or my lumbar pack.

5 SmittyNH
Perfect ascent shell to dump heat while breaking wind. I wear this over a 250gram smartwool baselayer while ascending mountains in 25- 45 degree weather.

5 GeorgeB
There's a reason you see so many really favorable reviews of this jacket. It checks all the boxes. Packable, super light, blocks the wind, repels mist or light rain and looks great. Pull it out of your kit at a windy summit or the top of a pitch. If you are slim and athletic, it fits true to your usual size. I have a paunchy `` dad bod '', so I had to go up one size for midriff room. You wo n't have to, though. This jacket is my go to for fast and light approaches, summit pushes, rainy day runs, the ski resort or around town because of it's clean look. I love the backpack compatible zippers, but wish there was an extra internal chest pocket. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

5 SETH B A
I used this coat as a great shell layer while climbing the Grand Teton and I would n't wish for anything else! It was perfect!

5
This shell has proven a perfect addition to time in the elements where protection is critical and weight is a factor. I have used this on a several volcano ski missions this past summer and spring. It packs light and provides the summit protection needed when wind is ripping and body temps are dropping. Marmot allotted a good amount of pockets without going overboard and the pit zips provide ventilation that allows you to tune your protection on the move without having to stop to layer up or down. When it comes to rain protection, it's hard to beat Gore. It also vents well for active pursuits.

[ So far so good! This jacket is extremely lightweight. Only downside so far is no. pockets( as noted in the product description so not a surprise). Color is better than expected from the picture.

This jacket replaced a similar 14 year old North Face jacket that finally wore out. I have used it during two humid and rainy outdoor assignments and it has worked as promised, keeping water outside while also allowing the vented zippers on the bottom upper portion of each sleeve to vent any perspiration.

[ I was hesitant because I 'm a Patagonia guy but I really liked this color and own other Fjallraven stuff so I gave it a try. Zipper is not an issue, great casual jacket, can wear it over button ups or casual.

[ I ’ ve been wearing this jacket for the first time during my Leave No Trace trainer course this weekend. Not only is it stylish, but it ’s warm and comfortable as well. It packs small and is lightweight for backpacking but still lofty enough to keep you warm during those cool mornings and evenings. It ’s also just perfect to keep you at a comfortable temperature during the day wether in a classroom setting or outside doing outdoors stuff. This jacket is the best available and will make you the best looking person in your own eyes, it ’s a win/win!

[ Amazing high- quality versatile jacket which I bought in the Fall, layered through winter and am continuing to enjoy into Spring. It is very light weight and not the least bit bulky, but regulates temperature very well. It takes up very little space for backpacking and travel. I like it so much I gifted one for a friend( who loves it too), and will buy another in a different color this Fall. A true Fjallraven classic.

5 JohnB

I bought this jacket before a 5 day backbacking trip in the mountains during late August because of warmth, weight, and compressibility. It was plenty warm enough for cool evenings and at high elevations. But the best feature of this jacket is the hood. The hood fits so well around your face and neck. This has become my favourite layer under my shell for cold winter hikes when its- 20 and the wind is blowing.

5 Bumblebee
Super warm. The hoodie is great and the front flap keeps your chin and lips out of harms way if zipped all the way. You can easily lower it, to your liking, to control warmth. I love this jacket, and it is now my goto for really cold days.

5 mary
I bought this to go under my Keb rain shell, to turn the Keb into a proper winter coat. It works great! I 'm now comfortable in wet blustery winter weather. And on days when it's cold but dry, this down jacket is great by itself. A total winner! Could n't be happier.

5 Jays
Bought this for my wife for Xmas, and she has worn it every day since! Even in California. She loves it.

5 LW
I ’ ve had this coat for a few weeks now and I love it. It ’s dreamily warm, looks fantastic and the pack down feature it really going to be great for travel. It has even performed perfectly on walks in temperatures well below freezing. I ’ m just over 5 ’ 6 ” and 150 lbs, athletic build and medium works well. It was slightly larger than what I thought it would be, as I am hoping to use it under a waterproof layer soon, but the small would likely have been too small. Still thinking it will work as a mid layer when I need it to.

I am absolutely in LOVE with the color and warmth of this jacket! Just finished a Utah 10K wearing it, the weather started at 35 degrees with partial Sun and wind, and ended at 41 degrees. I wore this jacket with just a t shirt underneath, and stayed at the perfect temp the entire run!!! Omg I need more of these babies! I loved that I could fold up the hood, and all of the pockets. My last favorite detail is the hidden red buttons, as they are so cute and such a small but fun pop of color that can be hidden:)

5 JenniferJ
The fit is amazing! I had to exchange the size and it was worth the wait. Living in Washington state the weather is starting to look amazing. The jacket is very light weight and layering is not a problem. This jacket will be used for both my races coming up Beat the Bridge and Rocking Roll half marathon!

5 RachelP
I REALLY like this jacket. The material is so light for a rain jacket/wind breaker. I wouldn ’ t recommend it in heavy rain, but lighter rain yes. But it packs down so small it ’s easy to stick in your vest or just wear with the backpack straps on it so it ’s there if any wind or storms pop up.

5 JeraldY
My daughter and I both used this jacket in a 50 mile race in Montana. Thunder storms in the morning, rain and hail in the afternoon. Not waterproof but kept you warm enough in bad conditions. Especially like the backpack feature! Well designed, lightweight and even has snaps to keep jacket from flapping when unzipped

I 'm a big jacket person, I have one for just about every weather situation and this is my go to in the spring and summer. It's really effective at blocking wind while I 'm biking, I 'll layer a fleece if it's chilly. During the summer it's the perfect weight for cool nights and keeping bugs off of you without overheating, it has light water resistance so this is definitely not a `` rain jacket '' but it does dry super fast if it gets wet. It packs down very small and also the perfect travel companion.

5 Dean S.
Material is flexible and light, breathes and cuts the wind. I 'm 6- foot- 2 and 160 pounds, and glad I got the XL size, even though the sizer suggested L.

5 John D
Very good jacket, fit my requirements across the board. Fabrics are much softer than I expected for the heavy duty G1000, but still feels very rugged. The hood maintains a very good shape- keeps the rain off my face but provides good visibility. Zipper nice and strong. Adjustability provides a good fit. Warmer than I expected for a light jacket. Overall a great product!

5 Oregon C
I purchased one of these in Copenhagen 4 years ago, and have worn it on the beach in Oregon at least 500 times. There are no signs of fraying, material is still strong, zippers work great. If it rains, or excess wind demands it, the hood fits well and tightens with clever elastic locking adjusters. The length is just right for me, not too long like some. Chest pocket is perfect for keeping my wallet/ID. I have collected rocks over the years and just put them in the side pocket, and they are still strong. Light weight but excellent in windy conditions. I do n't need to replace it but after 4 years it's looking a bit faded so I ordered another one in a different color and it's on the way. Expect the new one is the same great jacket. Thank you Fjall Raven. In my entire life I do n't think I 've worn a single jacket so much, and I 've never taken the time to go online and praise a piece of clothing but this deserves that.

[ Employee of mountainhardwear] As usual the sizing is spot on with this Mountain Hardware jacket. This is a great lighter down jacket. Many down jackets with smother you with heat no matter how light they are, but this one does not do that. I am going top use this for winter golf as a layering piece. I normally wear a medium and this one I ordered a large so I can put a fleece underneath and still swing a golf club- this one is spot on. find a layer that can work for golf and keep you warm is a rare find. This one is super versatile.

I really think this hoody is for anyone who wants a full zip mid layer jacket but it will find itself at home the most in the backpacks of you Spring rock

5 Harry
You can never have too many midlayers! This statement is always true, and that is one of the many reasons the Keele Grid hoody is something you should get. I 'm 5'9 '' 165lbs. and the medium fits comfortably. It does n't have a really technical fit like an r1; it's a more relaxed fit. This jacket is the r1 that you can wear everyday, but with pockets and way more wind resistance. I 've been grabbing this every morning when I leave the house on all these cool Spring mornings. The hood is really comfortable, and I 've always been a half- zip kind of guy, but I 'm loving the full- zip jacket feel.

5 Daniel C
I am a search and rescue volunteer and climbing wall instructor who spends my time in Arizona and Washington state. Working in a wide range of environmental conditions requires that my gear does the same. I ordered the Keele grid hoody as large, my usual size, and I found it fit true to size. The Keele hoody has performed exceptionally while climbing, traveling, and hiking. The recycled polyester double weave fabric is my favorite feature of the Keele. Its brushed back grid interior is soft and wicks moisture well while the DWR coating on the exterior provides durability and water resistance. Even when soaked through, the Keele kept me warm climbing in less- than- ideal conditions. The three- piece hood functions incredibly well and I found it fit over or under a climbing helmet. I have thoroughly enjoyed using the Keele and recommend it as a base or mid layer for nearly any outdoor endeavor.

5 pbetts
I am a rock climbing guide who guides across Colorado and Utah and its important for me to have gear that works well, is durable and looks professional. I was excited for this hoody to arrive as it checked a lot of those boxes for me. The large fits ideally for me at 6'2 '', 215lbs and long arms. I have a bit of an issue in the past with MHW sizing as it seemed I was right in between a L and XL but this jacket fits wonderfully. The waterproofing is functional if you are stuck in some light rain, as the water will bead right off. The brushed grid interior gives the hoody that cozy feel which means you 'll never want to take it off. It is a lot denser of a hoody than I was expecting but that's a positive in my books. I really think this hoody is for anyone who wants a full zip mid layer jacket but it will find itself at home the most in the backpacks of you Spring rock climbers!

5 PO
I work as a climbing guide in Colorado, so my work takes me to a variety of locations and climates. My initial guess as to what the Keele would be like was similar to other grid fleeces: lightweight and flexible. The latter is more true than the former. This layer was surprisingly heavy- and I think that's fantastic. It presents a different layering option than other mid- layers that tend to strive to be light. The inner fabric is extremely soft, so it feels great next to skin. I was caught in a mild drizzle and the outer fabric did a great job beading water and not letting me get soaked. I 'm 5'10 '' 165 and it felt just a hair big on me. If it was colder( ice climbing or mountaineering) I would appreciate the room to layer. As the only mid- layer I was wearing it was just a slight bit big, but I did n't find that problematic at all.

5 Skyler
Bought this for a recent Rainier climb. Excellent layering piece to pair with my Ghost Whisperer. Good wind protection bit still breathes well during high exertion. I am 6' tall and 195 lbs. The Large fits perfectly. Would definitely buy again.

Frequently Asked Questions For Lightweight Backpacking Jacket

When selecting a lightweight backpacking jacket, consider features such as water resistance or waterproofing to protect against rain and moisture. Look for breathability to ensure comfort during physical activity, as well as packability for easy storage in your backpack. Additionally, check for insulation options to provide warmth without adding bulk, and adjustable elements like hoods and cuffs for a customizable fit.

To determine the right size for a lightweight backpacking jacket, start by measuring your chest, waist, and hips to find your body measurements. Consult the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer, as sizes can vary between brands. Consider the type of layering you plan to wear underneath the jacket, as this may affect your size choice. Additionally, check for features like adjustable cuffs and hems, which can help achieve a better fit.

Lightweight backpacking jackets are typically made from materials that prioritize breathability, water resistance, and packability. Common fabrics include nylon and polyester, which are often treated with durable water repellent (DWR) coatings to enhance moisture protection. Insulation materials like down or synthetic fibers may also be used to provide warmth without adding significant weight. These materials are designed to withstand outdoor conditions while remaining easy to carry during hikes.

Lightweight backpacking jackets are designed to provide protection in various weather conditions, but they may not be suitable for extreme environments. Many of these jackets offer water resistance and breathability, making them ideal for light rain and wind. However, for heavy rain or severe cold, additional layers or specialized outerwear may be necessary. It's important to consider the specific features of the jacket and the expected weather conditions when planning your outdoor activities.

Lightweight backpacking jackets typically offer a balance between insulation and breathability, making them suitable for various outdoor activities. Many feature synthetic or down insulation that provides warmth without adding significant bulk, while breathable fabrics help regulate temperature and wick moisture away from the body. This combination allows for comfort during physical exertion, especially in changing weather conditions. When choosing a jacket, consider the specific materials and construction to find the right fit for your needs.

A lightweight backpacking jacket is ideal for various outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, and backpacking. These jackets are designed to provide protection against wind and light rain while remaining breathable and easy to pack. They are particularly useful for changing weather conditions, allowing for quick layering without adding significant bulk to your gear. Many people also wear them during travel or casual outings due to their versatility and comfort.

When choosing between different styles of lightweight backpacking jackets, consider the specific weather conditions you expect to encounter. Look for features such as water resistance, breathability, and insulation to match your needs. Additionally, think about the jacket's packability, as a compact design can be beneficial for backpacking trips. Finally, assess the fit and comfort to ensure it allows for ease of movement during your outdoor activities.

The typical weight range for a lightweight backpacking jacket is usually between 8 to 16 ounces. These jackets are designed to be easily packable and provide essential protection against the elements without adding significant bulk to your gear. Many options feature materials that are both breathable and water-resistant, making them suitable for various outdoor activities. When selecting a jacket, consider the balance between weight, insulation, and weather resistance to meet your specific needs.

To ensure your lightweight backpacking jacket is durable for long hikes, look for materials that are both lightweight and resistant to wear and tear, such as ripstop nylon or polyester. Consider features like reinforced seams and water-resistant coatings, which can enhance the jacket's longevity. Additionally, pay attention to the construction quality, as well-stitched and well-finished jackets tend to withstand the rigors of outdoor activities better. Regular maintenance, such as cleaning and proper storage, can also help extend the life of your jacket.

Packable lightweight backpacking jackets offer several advantages for outdoor enthusiasts. They are designed to be easily compressed into a small size, making them convenient to carry in a backpack without taking up much space. These jackets typically feature water-resistant or waterproof materials, providing protection against the elements while remaining breathable. Additionally, their lightweight construction ensures comfort during physical activities, allowing for ease of movement on the trail.
