Purchased one in black a while back now, a true to fit sweatshirt. This is NOT a thick warm sweatshirt and that ’s perfect for me. As someone that tends to run hot, it ’s the perfect thickness for a bit of warmth but not something you have to take off once you get a little active. I ’ m a 5 ’ 10 205lb fella and this fits me perfectly in a large. However if you ’ re looking to add something under I would suggest sizing up a wee bit. My XL is perfect for the addition of a wool thermal and not filling out to max marshmallow man levels.

I bought this earlier this year and really like it. It is warm and confortable. I also love the color( Storm). It is slightly short in lenght. If you 're just wearing it with arms downward it is fine but as soon as you lift your arms in the air the sweater lift enough to show your belly. The sleeves were somehow short too. They reached all the way to my wrists but if you extend your arm in front of you, it pulls a little. For the size, I used their Find My Size tool and it gave me a 93% chance of fitting in XS with 43% in S. I bought the XS and I think it's perfect. S would probably fit more in lenght but I was afraid it would be too wide as I have a small frame and small, almost flat chest. I never used the drying machine on it, just let it dry hanging and the size remained the same.

A Fantastic fleece, lovely fit and design. Unfortunately 1 years worth of wear has really taken its toll. I have worn this fleece a lot, I love it( certainly not everyday) but it's had a lot of casual everyday use over the past year. Unfortunately the fleece has bobbled and piled in areas, more than a usual fleece should. Some parts of the fleece have also worn down too easily- the arms/cuffs for example are now very thin and do n't feel comfortable against the skin anymore. Not as quality a product as Fjallraven should be in my opinion. However the green fleece I also own and has stood the test of time a bit better. It kind of has a brushed texture and the organic cotton 100 percent totally feels different from Polyester mix. I do n't need any other sweatshirt if I had this. The fit is pretty roomy. [ Merino is THE stuff for active comfort in the cold. The key is staying dry between rain, snow, and sweat... it's challenging. 100%( 95 and 88 also good) merino helps to achieve this goal. It's warm when you need it to be and water( all types) evaporates quickly to keep you from getting chilled from damp clothing. It's got to be part of a system though, and you have to use that system properly or you will get damp and cold. We just came back from five nights in our tent@ an avg. of 26F at night. After hiking all day in these and then, putting on fresh Smartwool tops and bottoms we were warm all night( we could have stayed in the same set if we had to). Medium weight is probably fine for most applications, but do be sure you 've got the right system for the conditions. In summer and spring it's less critical, but in winter( THE best time IMO)... having the wrong gear can make for a miserable experience... and a dangerous one. Smartwool has the added benefit of being able to go in the dryer at home... not all merino products can. That's my take.
