[ I love my new coat! It is warm, has deep soft pockets and a good hood. I also like that it has snaps in the front, not velcro, which always catches on scarves and clothing. I usually buy a size 4 but bought this in an 8 so it does run small.

[ This is the warmest coat I ’ ve ever owned, perfect for cold winter walks. At first I was looking at petite sizes, but the only colors available were black or charcoal. I decided to get the color ‘ prophecy ’ and, even though I ’ m short( 5 ’ 2 ”), the regular size 6 fit fine. The sleeves were just a bit long, not too long. I ’ m extremely happy with my new coat!

I actually have no complaints about a product for once. It's my go to for extreme cold, and it's served me well in temps as low as- 40°. You can wear* heavy* layers underneath this thing and it does n't feel cumbersome. The wind and water resistance is excellent, and adaptable with waxing. The fur lined does a very good job keeping wind and ice out my eyes. Again, no notes. In my opinion, it's a must have if you 're serious about exploring the colder parts of earth.

I needed a new winter parka, and was looking for one that would be great for daily use as well as being reasonable to pull on over a suit jacket when I have to make winter trips to the college campus in New England where I work. I tried several, and once I had tried the Nuuk, everything else seemed like a compromise. Being American, I 'm used to right- handed zippers, so the left- side/ European zipper took a bit of getting accustomed, but I was past that in a couple of days, and now it's as easy as any other coat zipper I have. The coat itself is near perfect. Super comfortable, roomy but fits nicely and looks great. I love that I can pull it on over a T- shirt when it's 5 degrees F outside with wind chill well below that and be perfectly comfortable. SO many pockets, and all are very functional. Rain proof, wind proof, tough yet comfortably flexible fabric. Love the hood, and I 've kept the fake fur ruff on as it traps warmth around the face. Love this coat and recommend it without hesitation.

I love this coat. It ’s incredibly warm for walking my husky, and it blocks the wind well. Although the dog hair tends to stick to it which I wasn ’ t expecting. I thought I was going crazy about the zipper thing until I read the reviews on here. I had trouble for about a month. I thought it was broken, but then sometimes it would zip right up.

I live in MN where winter temps easily fall below zero and the winds make the temps feel- 20- 30' F. This jacket keeps me warm, and protected from the bitter winds. A great piece of equipment. I pair it with the Winter heater hat and I am toasty under the most serious conditions!

I was looking for a new winter coat because the Columbia one I had was 4 years old and the pocket tore and it was getting worn out going through 4 winters. I finally got this water proof one. It's soooo nice. I love it. The winter coat I had before my new one was not water proof so I 'm very happy to have purchased a water proof coat finally. I do commute and live in the city so I think this coat is going to be great. Columbia brand is amazing. Hope it last me years like my other jackets and coats.

Well worth the money purchasing but luckily I got mine on sale just before the temperatures dropped and bad weather in eastern Canada. Most times I do not layer but on super cold days I do have a layer beneath and so warm. Extremely breathable. I bought a small and I had room for layering, enjoy the 6 good size pockets, length, quality/workmanship and the warranty. I ’ ve not used in rain days yet but i am sure it will work just fine.

Amazing coat. I got this for Christmas. I wore it for an evening rugby game- minus 3 in the north of England and I was toastie warm. Looking forward to wearing it in Austria next month. I loved the fit too- I ’ m 6 foot and the length on the body and arms is absolutely spot on- a rare find!

The perfect coat! Warm, rain proof( without looking like a 'mac'), beautifully styled and constructed, not too bulky, just the right length, sleeves great length too.. at 175cm coats have always been too short for me in the past! Bought this parka and did a ton of research on other brands as well. I wanted the most bang for my buck and I feel that this parka had the best quality and features for the cost! I love how it isn ’ t super tight on your body and overstimulating with other layers. It fits really well with thick base layers or thin layers underneath and greta for both cold and mild temps. Very durable thus far!

Love this coat. Just wore it for a weekend in Seattle where it was windy and rainy and while It was more than I needed, I ’ m glad I had the protection. Only downside is the zipper is hard to latch

Love, love, love this jacket. I am that girl who is always freezing, especially if it's windy I do n't stand a chance. Well this jacket has been a lifesaver, got me through- 20F weather with no problem, it blocks the wind and moisture. The pockets at mid level, that are fleece lined, are a blessing. I did a lot of research before buying this coat and I do n't regret it. Now it may not be as form fitting as one might want but honestly when you are warm in dead of winter, who cares. Also it has a million pockets, after 2 winters I still keep finding new ones.

This jacket is super high quality and is warm, waterproof and windproof. I ’ m 5 ’ 11 ”, 190lbs, athletic build. The Men ’s size medium fits perfect, with room for layers without being too small or too big. It is long below the waist so there is a double zipper to allow you to manuever into your car or a chair without pulling the jacket up to your waist. I removed the faux fur from my hood, it comes off easily with buttons. The fur just wasn ’ t my style. A few people complained about the double zipper, which is plastic( not metal), and is a YKK branded zipper. I ’ ve had no issues with the double zipper. Someone complained about the arm length. There are velcro cuffs so you can control how low you want the cuffs to go. No issues for me there. Bonus: there are two zippered hidden pockets, one on the inside of the main vertical zipper and one on the outside of the zipper. This outside pocket allows you to access items without unzipping the coat. Another bonus: there are two large pockets on the inside of the coat large enough to store ski googles. I happily store my winter scarf in there for when the temperature drops down and the wind picks up. Chest- level hand warmer pockets are comfortable and fantastic for walking or standing in the cold. I wore this coat for a trip in Seattle during the cold and rainy October season and it kept the wind and rain at bay, no wind or water got through. I ’ ve wearing this coat here in Orlando, FL for the cold winter months and have stayed quite warm and cozy! Keep in mind, this is the “ Nuuk Lite Insulated ” version so it ’s perfect for Seattle or Orlando. Fjallraven makes a warmer version called “ Nuuk Insulated ” which is probably more suited to arctic places like snowy parts of Canada or New England. I highly recommend!

The jacket is great! Reviews regarding double zipper, not true. You just need to learn how to zip it:)( or do you still wear shoes with Velcro?:) Zipper is great if you need to unzip jacket from the bottom. Very warm, length is great, hood is adjustable so you can actually see something when walk. Highly recommended! Great product, runs a big larger than other brands.

I purchased this jacket to replace a Skogso. I wanted something that was waterproof and with a bit more cover. This jacket is fantastic. I live in the PNW and we have damp `` cold '' weather.( rarely below freezing.) so this jacket is better suited for here the the standard Nuuk Parka.

Been studying this jacket since last year and finally pulled the trigger. Granted its not had a cold test but as soon as you put it on you can tell its absolutely solid. The zipper.... it's not that difficult guys so please ignore the other comments. Every detail is super premium. Medium correct fit for a 5, 7 giant of a man.

After getting through a NYC December/January where conditions ranged from 40F with heavy rain to nearly 10F with strong wind and snow, I can officially say I love this jacket. It ’s very stylish and the warm adjustable hood is a highlight. I prefer the flexibility of having a versatile “ lighter ” jacket that can get through three seasons but this jacket isn ’ t super light. When it got down into the 20s, I just layered with a light insulated vest and the jacket remained effective. I don ’ t understand some of the complaints in other reviews… two- way zippers are always a little more difficult to zip up but with the longer length of the jacket, it ’s well worth it. And no, my arms didn ’ t get cold in the jacket either.

I went hiking in Iceland with this jacket, and let me tell you, it is 100% worth it. At first, I was slightly annoyed with the hood, but now I see why it's designed like that; my hood stayed on in 60 mph wind! The zipper's leather tag broke off, but it's not a big deal. The zipper can be annoying to zip up and get stuck at times. Overall, I was in- 8 degree weather and 60 mph wind and SWEATING during my hike- definitely wind and waterproof. I did but on wax only on the shoulders but you honestly do n't really need the wax, I 've been in rain, snow, hail and stayed dry and warm.

First- I will say this coat is AWESOME! I wanted to finally invest in a hardy quality winter coat and this one fit the bill. This is the warmest and nicest coat I 've ever owned. I was tired of the trendy lightweight down coats that do n't actually keep you as warm as you 'd like. There is a kind of pleasure that comes from wearing and enjoying a finely crafted article of clothing and this jacket gives just that. It feels exceptionally cozy and of high quality. Second, I will say that this coat is BIG. I really do not understand Fjallraven's sizing recommendations. For reference, I am male, 6' and 160lbs with an athletic( I would like to say) build. I find it a little frustrating to read reviews and feedback about sizing but most people do not put their body size in the review for comparison. If I had followed Fjallraven's sizing guide, I should have ordered a medium. I was torn about which size to order and found it hard to gauge based on reviews, so I ordered a Small and Medium with the intent to return whichever one I did n't want. I will definitely be sticking with the small. The small itself almost feels a tad oversized but I think it will do okay. The medium just feels comically big on me. Even with wearing a shirt and lightweight sweater underneath, I am quite comfortable and still have full range of motion in the small. As far as warmth and comfort, this thing feels so comfortable. I am impressed with the amount of down and insulation in this thing. I live in the midwest USA and our winters get down to 18- 20F on an average cold winter day, usually with several days dipping into the single digits or lower. I walk my dog every morning and enjoy winter hiking and I feel confident and prepared for the coming winter now. So far we have not hit a very very cold day but I did try it out in a morning just above freezing. I wore only a T- shirt underneath while walking my dog and did not overheat in it as others stated- I felt quite comfortable. Part of me wonders if this means I would be a little cold in just the jacket on the really really cold days, but I think it is reasonable to still require a warm base layer or thin sweater underneath to stay warm enough. I feel confident this will be the case. The hood is impressive- big and warm and well insulated and fits snugly enough when pulled over your head and the fuzzy lining feels functional enough to keep out wind, not just a fashion statement. The drawstrings add a nice touch and work well, helping you to show off your lean figure still in a thick coat as you cinch it up around your waist. This helps trap warm air inside and I noticed it also takes a bit of the weight of the coat off your upper body and puts it onto your hips- kind of like the hip straps of a backpack. The zipper is not really as big of a problem as some have complained. It is a bit funny because it is on the opposite side as most zippers for men in the US. Maybe this is a Swedish thing? I 'm sure I will get used to it. Overall, I would say: Stylish, cozy, WARM, quality. It brings me joy and confidence knowing I am well prepared for the coming winter.

I have now become a fan of Fjallraven parkas. I like their casual/outdoorsy design over more formal/urban designs( CG, MK, etc.). I like the numerous pockets of which some are quite spacious. This is a big plus for me over other brands( like CG and MK). Price- wise Fjallraven falls in the middle: they are not the cheapest in the market yet they are less expensive than the so called 'prestigious' brands like CG, MK, N, M, etc.. I find Fjallraven to be as good as any of the them in regards to product quality. The G1000 shell feels very tough and durable. The lining feels good too though I like the lining of Singi Wool better as it feels more organic. Why does n't Fjallraven use the same lining in Singi Down is puzzle- some to me. There are a few caveats though. After getting a Singi Wool in small size which was a perfect fit for me, I bought the Singi Down in small size too. It turned out to be too small for me. It felt particularly tight around my hip. I am 72kg, 178cm tall. Moreover, I got it in Dark Navy color. Strangely, the shell had a green hue to it! It was n't a deal breaker but I certainly preferred a neutral navy tone. I could not return the jacket so sold it online. Since I liked the jacket, I was looking to get one in medium size. Recently, there was a sale on Fjakraven products in a local store at% 50 discount. These were apparently sample units or new units with some defects. Look and behold, I saw a Singi Down( sample unit) in large size( the only available one). I tried it and while it was a bit loose and bulky on me, it was certainly acceptable and the sleeves were the right length. Strangely, the jacket was in a beautiful blue tone( indigo?) that is not available online. The color was like dream come true! So I am again a Singi Down owner. Not sure why this color is n't available online for sale. Perhaps, they are planning to introduce the color in the future or is perhaps this is a discontinued color.

I think I can best summarize my opinion of this coat in that it makes me want to go outside in blizzards. This thing is sooo warm and well designed for practical use; I spend a huge amount of time standing outside for hours in the winter and this is the perfect tool for the job. Not only is it warm, but its also very durable. The external fabric is tough! I have no concerns about it every ripping which is a huge peace of mind, I think the thick fabric also helps protect from wind which is really nice when its blustery. The pockets are very generous and perfect for stashing gloves or other moderate sizes items if needed. I find myself rarely needing the hood but when I do its oversized and very helpful in protecting against flakes or wind. The only thing that I dont absolutely love about this thing is the zipper for some reason its a bit hard to line up, and there is a bit of a learning curve, its funny, every winter it takes me a couple tries when first using the coat to get the feel for it, but after that I have no issus; on the other hand, the zipper is very durable so its not like I 'm concerned about it failing, more that it just takes a bit of a specific 'touch' to get it to line up. Overall I would highly reccomend this, it will last for years( mine has so far, and I expect it will for many more) its also a lot more affordable than other premium parkas, but I think this one is actually warmer and more practical in many ways than its competitors.

[ I spend all my weekends in hockey rinks with two kids in hockey and this thing keeps me toasty with just a shirt underneath. It looks great with the fur removed, and the zipper is not that much of an issue it just zips up on the other side from usual, otherwise it works great.
