I wear an XL hat and this one fits great. The only issue I had was the packaging for shipping- the brim got folded over and there's a pretty good crease in the brim that has been very tough to get rid of. Hoping the AZ sun will fix that. I love this hat!!! It is my favorite Sunday Afternoons and I have many others. The only negative is it runs a little small. One Size. After stetching out the elastic band by pulling on it hard repeatedly, it fits comfortably. My head measures 22 1/4 '' around. Now I love it. Good sunblock and better looking than some of the others. I bought the cream with the black band. I would buy the blue and black too but I hate the multi print on the inside of the brim. If they came in plain black on the underside like the cream, I would buy both other colors. Why the multi print? Looks old- ladyish! Please offer all colors with a plain black under side of brim!!! An addendum to my review the black hat should have either solid black trim or back and white, like black and white stripes on the band with black solid under brim for shade protection. The red multi print is aweful!!!

As soon as I heard about this, I wanted one. I 've got three now, and I wear them every day. I recently wore it on a business trip and was able to throw it into a bag; when I took it out, it really does retain its shape. The colors are great. They are in such demand that they are tough to find. Up next is the grey/white one. The only downside, and this is a stretch, is that the back velcro strap is really stiff, so it takes a while to readjust. I 'm surprised other brands are n't trying to copy this yet.

I have been searching for a white hat that would truly shade my face from the sun, stay on my head and that I could put my pony tail through. I wore it to play tennis and to go to the beach. I could only wear my hair down or in a very low pony with other hats( except baseball hats but they do n't fully protect me from sun damage). [ I own many hats. Out of all the hats I own, this Mission HydroActive Performance hat has quickly became my favorite. It has become my daily go- to hat. The reason? Extremely lightweight, extremely breathable, extremely comfortable. It's almost like wearing nothing, except it covers up my bad hair day. As a unstructured hat, It never gets wrinkled, unlike many other hats out there. I wear it to work, and just toss it in my backpack along with everything else. My kids and I love our hats for a couple of reasons. First, they are so light that we do n't feel like we are even wearing a hat that gives great sun coverage, but we are! Second, my kids are able to get great sun coverage with comfort. In the past most of the hats they wore had brims in the back too. This would cause them to have to take the hats off when they sat in their cars seats, etc. Now they keep them on and they stay on because of the flat feature in the back of these hats! Great design! My head is too large for `` one- size '' hats, but my extra- large head AND my ponytail can fit inside the extra- large size of this. I also love the extra- wide brim, which easily keeps my entire head and neck in the shade during the brightest hours of the day. Large hats can act like a sail in windy conditions, but the adjustable chin and crown straps are super helpful to comfortably keep this hat on. I love that it folds in half and fits neatly inside a tote bag or hiking backpack, since my previous wide- brimmed hat was ruined by my unofficial folding/stashing methods. A+++ work!

I do n't know how its able to retain its shape, but it does no matter how you bend/fold/crush it.
