I was sad to lose my Sunset hiking hat at the end of a long and strenuous hike. I had worn it hiking in the Southwest desert mountains nearly daily for 9 years, and the hat was my signature. Luckily, it took about 10 minutes to locate the same size M cinnamon Sunset hat on the Sunday Afternoon website. I arrived within a few days, and I didn ’ t miss a beat. Back on the trail.

I bought the Oat Sunset Hat first, to wear while gardening and walking the dog. I live in NE FL and the sun can be brutal at times. Our duaghter and her husband took us on an* day Caribbean cruise right after Thanksgiving and I bought a 2nd Sunset hat, this time in Cinnamon, so she would have a good sun hat too. She preferred the lighter colored hat so I let her keep that one and I kept the cinnamon one. These hats can be shaped how ever you prefer them, but I like the sides rolled up like a `` western hat '' so I have good peripheral vision, especially when walking our pup. They traveled well strapped to a back pack and if they got a bit misshapen during transport they were easy to return to however you might prefer them. Very versatile and can be used in any number of scenarios. Thanks for a great product!

I bought this several years ago and did n't wear it much because I was so attached to another Sunday Afternoons hat I had. Finally the old hat wore out after so many washings and I started wearing my Sunset Hat, and am still wearing it. I love it! The wire around the brim helps to keep its shape, although I put my hats all to the test-- I wear them hard. But they last!
