I bought the Oat Sunset Hat first, to wear while gardening and walking the dog. I live in NE FL and the sun can be brutal at times. Our duaghter and her husband took us on an* day Caribbean cruise right after Thanksgiving and I bought a 2nd Sunset hat, this time in Cinnamon, so she would have a good sun hat too. She preferred the lighter colored hat so I let her keep that one and I kept the cinnamon one. These hats can be shaped how ever you prefer them, but I like the sides rolled up like a `` western hat '' so I have good peripheral vision, especially when walking our pup. They traveled well strapped to a back pack and if they got a bit misshapen during transport they were easy to return to however you might prefer them. Very versatile and can be used in any number of scenarios. Thanks for a great product!

I like the coverage this hat gives! I ordered a S/M, I find it a little big too big, but it has an adjustable strap on the back, and I didn ’ t have my hair pulled through the ponytail holder slot. I purchased this for an upcoming trip to Mexico. I ’ m definitely not a sunworshipper, so I am happy to have the wide brim!!

I love boonie hats, but the Sport Hat can keep out all angles of sunlight. It is feathery light on your head, but it is still rugged. This is my third one as others finally wore out or got damaged. This hat will stay in place in a strong wind if you cinch down the chin strap. I wear it kayaking on big expanses of water with no wind break. The L/XL hat fit me well. I hope that Sunday Afternoons keeps selling these hats forever.

It ’s quite expensive but worthy. What I love the most about this hat is it doesn ’ t lose its shape after you wash or stuff it in your pack. I have worn it in my multi- day backpacking trips in the wilderness and it still looks like new.

This hat is such a pretty upgrade from my previous beige unisex sun hat from an outdoor store. I do n't like having to wear hats but I 'm allergic to the sun now so I have no choice. I have a large head and typically will wear a baseball cap on the beach because hair needs to be back, this hat is amazing!! I wore it first on a windy day and just had to tighten the back and the chin strap and the hat stayed on my head. I love that it covers my ears and the back of my head and neck. I have some very pretty sun hats that I wear all summer. But I can ’ t wear them on bright, blustery spring days because they don ’ t have chin straps. I have the Adventure hat that is great for gardening but not what I wanted for walking the dog in the neighborhood. The Clear Creek Boonie meets my needs. The brim is large enough to shade my face but not too large. It looks good with my short hair and it also looks good with long sleeves on cooler days.

Exactly what I needed! I have one hat that is similar to this, but I am wearing it in every single outdoor photo so I wanted another for variety. Then THIS hat came along that ’s reversible!! I love it! It is exactly what I was looking for, but better! I love that it has a removable strap. It ’s there when I need it, but on a calm weather day I can remove it. With my other hat I would tuck the strap up inside, which was a bit annoying. This is the perfect hat for me, and now that it is reversible I have a little more variety.

The Clear Creek hat is easy to pack for out of state adventure. I liked the color combination and that it was reversible. The chin strap helped in windy situations. This is the second hat in this style that I have purchased. The first one I ’ ve worn for hiking, water aerobics, walking and general use. The fit is adjustable and air vents help in hot tropical weather. The material is lightweight and easy to clean plus the cap bill is foldable which is great for travel. I have received many compliments also. I have these hats in white and blue. Bought a second one as a backup while traveling. Highly recommend this hat, a favorite! Bought this one to replace old one that was blue and has traveled around the world with me. Love how light and compact it can be when not wearing it and how you can expand it for wearing to keep sun off your face and neck. Only reason I have to replace old one after 12+ years is because of the metal in the outer part finally snapped in few spots. So outer part does not hold shape as well especially in wind. Mind you I washed it with similar color clothes probably once or wove a year( which might not have been recommended) and would fold it over twice to fit in top of back back on travel days in airports and buses. I ’ m just happy I still had tag on old hat to find company to buy this new one. The old one I will still wear around house doing yard work. Needless to say after buying several different hats this if my favorite one for spring, summer, and fall. Thank you for this wonderful design that stands up to my abuse and keeps looking great.
