[ I ’ m a lifty at a ski resort in New Hampshire, I bought this for the rain and snow days, bEST hat I have ever owned!!! I get compliments every time I wear it, warm and keeps the wet out. Worth every penny and very Versatile

[ I love the design of this rain/hiking hat. It has a nice felt lining and is wind resistant. Although this hat protects from the sun's harmful RAY 'S, it is not meant for really hot weather due to the felt lining( meant to keep your head warm). Outdoor Research makes sun hats that are more suited to the desert or really hot climates.

[ I go to the YMCA pool and met a nice couple that each had OR hats. I inquired about their hats. I liked what I heard so I purchased one for me and my husband. I love this hat I because it fits well, protects me from the sun and it is waterproof. I wear it when doing water exercise and when riding bike. I also purchased the Sombriolet sun hat which has a wider brim, vents and a chord to tighten to my head. I use both and I am very pleased because of the functionality and quality. PS I still use my baseball cap and visors.

[ This Hat does its job well. Light weight. Water resistant. Easily stuffed in a bag for storage. Retains it's shape after storage. I hav n't yet needed to use this hat in heavy rain, but it seemed to work well in light rain

[ I bought this hat for my fair skinned husband. He wears it when he ’s working on the yard. It keeps his head cool and the sun out of his face. It ’s a winner!

Nice inside lining keeps you from having to add a base beanie. ... Waterproof hat in nice colors. ... I do like the reflective logos, how light the hat is, the wide brim, and( so far) the waterproofness of the Pertex Diamond Shield

[ Loved the hat, but it was too big for me in the sm/med size so it flapped around too much in the wind. If they sized them as L, M, S I would have kept it.

Waterproof hat in nice colors. Chin strap. Big brim to keep dry in the rain.

[ The hat seems to fit well as I do have a relatively large head. It blocks sun well. Given I live in Florida, I have not been able to test in the rain yet. I read conflicting reviews on how waterproof it is. I plan to use for long hime in Portugal later this month. If I encounter torrential downpours, I will also have a waterproof hood to wear over top. I think the color I purchased is fine for what I need.

Yes, I 've already tested this hat in a storm and was delighted that it performed as advertised. Quite unlike others I have that leaked around the brim in heavy rains.

Keeps you dry in a deluge... truly! And it's very packable.

I have had this hat for over 14 years and use it primarily for kayaking. When property fitted to my head, it stays on even with rolling and strong headwinds. This IS ONLY go- to hat when I paddle( it is my signature clothing). Unfortunately, after all these years of sunshine, salt, and surf I must retire it and purchase another.

Nice hat, keeps the sun and rain off. Use for paddling.

After much research and checking out many types of hats, my son purchased the same( but older version) 15+ years ago to wear hike on a High Adventure Scout Outing to Philmount. It was waterproof with an SPF of 50 and very light. Snaps on the side came in handy as well as the adjustable size. Now- years later, when I reached out to the company- OR- and asked them about the SPF( I could n't remember that!) because I now have to protect my face from all sun. We corresponded a few times and were able to do the research to tell me as well as show me the current version which is the Seattle Rain Hat. And after all these years it still looks new. I HIGHLY recommend this company for any product. And I love the Seattle Rain Hat which I will be wearing all summer. https: //www. outdoorresearch. com/collections/rain- hats/products/seattle- rain- hat- 322290

Great hat, as other have said, can be a little warm in hotter climates. Kept my glasses dry and was super packable.

I initially bought this hat for kayaking in the southeastern US, and it's great for that regional combination of broiling sun and expected rain. So now, I live in southeast Alaska, and it's perfect for what people call the `` Juneau Rain Festival ''( 1 January- 31 December:)). It's also great in the chilly weather because I have the older model that has the fold- down fleec ear flaps. Wish they 'd bring those back because I sure could use a new one.
