I like these gloves. They keep me warm, and are definitely waterproof. I used them to get minnows out of our minnow cooler, dipped them in cold water, and my hands did not get wet. They fit well, too.

This is my second pair of Simms guide gloves. I somehow lost the last pair, and they were great as well, so I went right back to Simms for another pair. I highly recommend these gloves.

Have used my prior ones for 10+ years despite wear on the material portion the leather is still excellent. They werent availableca while so ordered now thst they are. I ordered small, which is too tight on the new ones( wear size 7 to 7. 5 gloves), but once on they are comfortable. The new leather pattern is simpler but coverage as good as prior. They work for rowing and casting, but as tight slow to get of to handle the trouts, which average 2 to 4 inches over measurement. Getting a metric ruler to help
Wading gloves are designed to provide protection and warmth for your hands while engaging in water activities such as fishing, kayaking, or wading in cold streams. They help keep your hands dry and insulated, allowing for better grip and dexterity when handling equipment or fish. These gloves are essential for maintaining comfort during extended periods in cold water.
Wading gloves are typically made from materials such as neoprene, which offers excellent insulation and waterproofing, or synthetic fabrics that provide breathability and flexibility. Some gloves may also feature waterproof membranes to enhance their protective qualities. The choice of material can significantly impact the gloves' comfort, durability, and performance in wet conditions.
To choose the right size for wading gloves, it's important to measure your hand's circumference around the widest part, usually just below the knuckles. Most brands provide a sizing chart that correlates measurements to specific sizes. Ensuring a snug fit is crucial for maintaining dexterity while still allowing enough room for comfort and warmth.
Yes, there are wading gloves specifically designed for warm weather use. These gloves often feature lightweight, breathable materials that provide sun protection while allowing for moisture management. They are ideal for activities like fishing in warmer climates, where full hand coverage is needed without overheating.
When selecting wading gloves, consider features such as waterproofing, insulation, grip texture, and flexibility. Some gloves may also include reinforced fingertips for added durability and UV protection for sun exposure. Evaluating these features based on your specific activities and environmental conditions will help you find the best pair for your needs.
