Though I am a physician, I am somewhat of a physician skeptic. I had a relatively severe shoulder dislocation and rotator cuff injury in college many years ago. The shoulder has never been the same, but `` tolerable ''. It had been getting worse over the past. year with significant pain, particularly with certain movements. I saw the orthopedic surgeon who recommended shoulder `` re- hab ''( physical therapy) and I was very doubtful that this would help. Much to my surprise and delight, my shoulder pain got much better along with my flexibility and functionality.
