It is current 1 F with an- 18 F windchill. I needed to clear a couple of inches of snow from a driveway. These gloves kept my hands and FINGERS warm the 45 minutes I was outside. That ’s remarkable because my fingers always get painfully cold in such temps. The smart design of keeping the index finger free while wrapping the other 3 fingers in a mitten like pocket is brilliant! The gloves also feature a zipper pocket on the back of each hand, a wristband so the gloves can dangle if you need to take them off to pull something out of a pocket, take a photo, etc. Of course, they also feature a clip to keep them together when storing them. I was so impressed with them that I went out and got my partner a pair today as well. The price point is reasonable too- especially for a Gortex product.

Used these gloves for 1 day between 14 and 28 deg F with windgusts and snow machines on making icy and windy conditions for a much lower feels like temp. First off, the GoreTex in these gloves holds up to its reputation, the ice/snow from the snow machines stuck to everything and ev eventually would melt but my gloves on the inside didnt feel wet at all even once. Wore these without the liner and they are comfortable, but not that warm. My hands were cold but not super uncomfortably cold by lunch without the liner in. Put the liner in after going back out and it made a world of difference. My hands stayed warm the rest of the day even after the sun went down and temperature dropped significantly. After a full day of use on the slopes carrying ski poles most of the time, there is no sign of any use on these gloves and i am hopeful they keep holding up for me. They were fairly expensive at full price, but seem to be worth it so far.

They are pretty windproof too which makes them the most useful in colder windy weather. I have Reynaud ’s and can never keep my hands warm. These mittens aren ’ t perfect, I still get cold fingers, but they are the best I ’ ve had in a very long time. The inner mittens are great on their own. I use them primarily for running, but they would be great for skiing and other winter activities. I liked them so much I bought a second pair.
