I have no real skin problems compared to my golf friends who wear caps. That was n't the reason I originally wore the hat but it is now. I wear it in the pool to keep the sun out of my eyes, and it dries quickly and the chlorine hasn ’ t caused any discoloration. I bought the Oat Sunset Hat first, to wear while gardening and walking the dog. I live in NE FL and the sun can be brutal at times. Our duaghter and her husband took us on an* day Caribbean cruise right after Thanksgiving and I bought a 2nd Sunset hat, this time in Cinnamon, so she would have a good sun hat too. She preferred the lighter colored hat so I let her keep that one and I kept the cinnamon one. These hats can be shaped how ever you prefer them, but I like the sides rolled up like a `` western hat '' so I have good peripheral vision, especially when walking our pup. They traveled well strapped to a back pack and if they got a bit misshapen during transport they were easy to return to however you might prefer them. Very versatile and can be used in any number of scenarios. Thanks for a great product!
