I got this hat because the brim is slightly smaller than my full on sun hat, so it ’s not as awkward to wear in the car or indoors, but still provides a good amount of sun protection. I got the goldenrod color, and it ’s a little darker in person, but still a cool color. It does seem to run a little small compared to my other hats of the same size, so if you ’ re in between sizes, probably best to size up. Oh, and the sunglasses holder is awesome! After having them in a couple of sun hats, I would never want to buy one without.

I am normally not a Hat Person, but this one is terrific! I ordered the size medium in the color opal, which is a a light off- white. It's very flattering in every way-- size, fit, color. It shades my face without blocking my view. The fabric itself is lightweight= cool, not flimsy. So... can I give you 6 stars on this one?

A well made hat, just a bit too small for my head. I would buy it in an extra large if you made it in that size. I like the brim, just the right depth for protection, without interfering with my collar. I have another one of this style that I purchased several years ago, and it is still my go- to hat for the out- of- doors.

Everyone should have an Outdoor Research Seattle Rain Hat. It is waterproof, lightweight and packable. The Fatigue/Black that I order is as shown in the picture. I do agree with another reviewer that they should bring back the adjustable headband.

I have some very pretty sun hats that I wear all summer. But I can ’ t wear them on bright, blustery spring days because they don ’ t have chin straps. I have the Adventure hat that is great for gardening but not what I wanted for walking the dog in the neighborhood. The Clear Creek Boonie meets my needs. The brim is large enough to shade my face but not too large. It looks good with my short hair and it also looks good with long sleeves on cooler days.

Exactly what I needed! I have one hat that is similar to this, but I am wearing it in every single outdoor photo so I wanted another for variety. Then THIS hat came along that ’s reversible!! I love it! It is exactly what I was looking for, but better! I love that it has a removable strap. It ’s there when I need it, but on a calm weather day I can remove it. With my other hat I would tuck the strap up inside, which was a bit annoying. This is the perfect hat for me, and now that it is reversible I have a little more variety.

The Clear Creek hat is easy to pack for out of state adventure. I liked the color combination and that it was reversible. The chin strap helped in windy situations. I have more than one of these now- two for work& one for play. Fits fantastic, easy adjustment tab in the back. You can `` boonie '' it and scrunch the brim to get that sun that's angled to the side or shove it in your pack/pocket. Take it out and a hard shake will get the brim back. I run this through rocks, brush, sappy pines. No issues or snags. Breathes well and has some water resistance. One of the best things OR has made.

It looks good, it does everything you need and nothing you do n't need. I love the way this hat looks and fits. I have a pretty small head and it has quick easy adjustments. The adjustments are so good that I ride to the beach and back home on my motorcycle without this thing flying off. When I get to the beach and ready to fish I can loosen it in less than a second. It's sun gear so the most important thing is the protection. it's still spring here in Florida but it's already up to 80s on a regular and the day in the photograph was exactly that. The hat works great for blocking the sun and it also does a pretty good job keeping you cool. The brim is stiff enough to stay out flat for coverage but soft enough to still look good. Used it all last summer and heading into this year i 'm relying on it again. Caught my first pompano of the year and the photograph came out great so I figured i 'd actually write a review.
