I purchased this so that I do not have to apply sunscreen to my bald head in the pool or ocean. I used it multiple times for racing and swimming in the pool with Aqua Sphere goggles and for diving/snokeling in the Ocean in the Big Island and Kauai, Hawaii and it stays on like glue and does not interfere with my goggles or mask seal. You can even push it down closer to eyes and it stays firm. Even diving through violent Ocean waves it stayed on-- up to two hours in the water-- no problem. Protected my head against sunburn each time with no sunscreen. On one of my snorkeling boats I saw 2 other guys using this cap for the same reason-- prevent sunburn to the bald head. [ I am a triathlete and use this cap for pool training. This was the first silicone cap I had ever used. It has a great feel to it, fits very comfortably on my head, and does not pull my hair like the latex caps do. That is not that big of a deal for me, but my wife is worried about caps pulling her hair out, so I bought her one of these caps too, and she really likes it. I returned several hats because the color was actually lighter than the image/description. I hesitantly opened the package, and was thrilled to find this cap in the dark maroon/wine color( ordered dark plum) I wanted! The cap is made well with cooling, wicking fabric vs basic cotton. The adjustable Velcro strap holds very well, I 'll just be careful around my hair.
