I bought this hat for a specific outdoor event, as my larger hats do n't do well in windy conditions. It was a perfect, comfortable fit. The wind only picked up a couple of times during the event, but the hat did n't budge. The rim was also enough to keep the sun off my face when it finally peeked from behind the clouds. [ I love hats and after losing my Columbia wide- brim hat in Zurich( I blame the chocolate) back in 2023, I was relieved to see a replacement a couple weeks ago. Imagine my surprise to unbox such a stylish chapeau! Though its wider brim made me think of Paris in the spring, it was bought for adventures in South America. Mid- August, I leave for a month- long vacation to Brazil where this hat will protect me from tropical rays as I stroll the famous beaches of Rio de Janeiro followed by 3 weeks in the Pantanal( jaguar safari!) and then an Amazon riverboat cruise. Packable, well- constructed with a must- have adjustable strap, it will literally top several quick- dry, multi- purpose, insect- shielded, Omni- Freeze Zero clothing from Columbia. In the meantime, I 've worn this hat for outdoor concerts and shopping at the Farmer's Market here at home in the Midwest. My head circumference is 21. 5 inches and the S/M is perfect. Thank you Columbia for getting it right, again!

Best hat I ever had. Wife says it looks great. I did have to size up 1/4( from 7- 3/8 to 7- 5/8) since these hats are size specific and tend to run a tad small. Unless you have purchased Tilley previously, you should go into a store to try it on.

I already owned a Charter hat, then I saw this one with a slightly smaller brim. I wear them to play golf. Very comfortable. I have n't washed this one yet but the original Charter hat is easy to clean. Easy to fine tune the size.

I just bought this hat as a sun protection aid for an upcoming Caribbean cruise. This hat is very stylish and can be worn as an everyday hat. Love the hideaway pocket on the inside top of the hat. The adjustable size strap on the inside is a plus. I wear a 7- 7/8( xl) fitted ball cap and ordered the Large hat, perfect fit! You wo n't be disappointed with this hat.

The moment I received the box, I knew there would be something special inside... and there was. From the quality packaging to every aspect of the hat itself, the care and attention to detail is readily apparent. The hat is great with useful features like the inner compartment, sunglass holders, and chin strap which are sometimes extra charge items. With regard to styling, construction, and function, this hat gives up nothing. That it's prices so reasonably for what it offers is just icing on the cake. I 've wound up wearing it a lot and I 'm buying a second one now. I wash mine often and it air drys quickly. After months of wear it still looks as good as it did when I first purchased it.

I 've been able to keep it on while hiking in the wind because of the chinstrap. It's water resistant. Plus it packs well. And most importantly, I like the colors- gray and pink.

Been wearing this hat hiking in the desert for probably five years. Wo n't hit the trail without it. Wicks away sweat very well and is very cool. I have washed this hat literally dozens of times which is why it does n't seem to have the SPF factor it once had. been getting sunburned on my head lately. So, after five years I am buying the same hat again! BTW, I bought two hats. One medium, one large. At 7 1/8 '' hat size the medium was too small. Would n't change a thing.

I love wearing this hat. I am a letter carrier and have a walking route so I use it for head/face protection. I have washed it a few times and dried it in accordance with the instructions each time. The last time I washed it and was drying it by way of the instructions but I got a little inpatient and decided to throw it in the dryer with air dry. I could not believe it but it still shrunk. So my next one will be dried by there recommendation.

I LOVE THIS HAT! I have it in all three colors and it is my favorite hat! the brim is large enough in front to cover my face from the sun and long enough in the back to cover my neck! Just right! I wore it while geoducking and everyone loved it! I like all three colors, but I wish the Opal one had a flowered lining like the black and blue ones do! I love this hat!!! It is my favorite Sunday Afternoons and I have many others. The only negative is it runs a little small. One Size. After stetching out the elastic band by pulling on it hard repeatedly, it fits comfortably. My head measures 22 1/4 '' around. Now I love it. Good sunblock and better looking than some of the others. I bought the cream with the black band. I would buy the blue and black too but I hate the multi print on the inside of the brim. If they came in plain black on the underside like the cream, I would buy both other colors. Why the multi print? Looks old- ladyish! Please offer all colors with a plain black under side of brim!!! An addendum to my review the black hat should have either solid black trim or back and white, like black and white stripes on the band with black solid under brim for shade protection. The red multi print is aweful!!!

This hat is super- comfortable and light. I got it in black and it's the kind of hat you can wear in town or on the trail, because in black it does n't look `` outdoorsy ''.
