[ I love hats and after losing my Columbia wide- brim hat in Zurich( I blame the chocolate) back in 2023, I was relieved to see a replacement a couple weeks ago. Imagine my surprise to unbox such a stylish chapeau! Though its wider brim made me think of Paris in the spring, it was bought for adventures in South America. Mid- August, I leave for a month- long vacation to Brazil where this hat will protect me from tropical rays as I stroll the famous beaches of Rio de Janeiro followed by 3 weeks in the Pantanal( jaguar safari!) and then an Amazon riverboat cruise. Packable, well- constructed with a must- have adjustable strap, it will literally top several quick- dry, multi- purpose, insect- shielded, Omni- Freeze Zero clothing from Columbia. In the meantime, I 've worn this hat for outdoor concerts and shopping at the Farmer's Market here at home in the Midwest. My head circumference is 21. 5 inches and the S/M is perfect. Thank you Columbia for getting it right, again!

I never write reviews, but I really like this hat. I have a small head and it's hard to find a hat that fits. This one is adjustable. I 've been able to keep it on while hiking in the wind because of the chinstrap. It's water resistant. Plus it packs well. And most importantly, I like the colors- gray and pink.

Although this hat protects from the sun's harmful RAY 'S, it is not meant for really hot weather due to the felt lining( meant to keep your head warm). [ I go to the YMCA pool and met a nice couple that each had OR hats. I inquired about their hats. I liked what I heard so I purchased one for me and my husband. I love this hat I because it fits well, protects me from the sun and it is waterproof. I wear it when doing water exercise and when riding bike. I also purchased the Sombriolet sun hat which has a wider brim, vents and a chord to tighten to my head. I use both and I am very pleased because of the functionality and quality. PS I still use my baseball cap and visors.

I pair this visor with earmuffs when I wear my parka with the hood up. I wanted to shade my face and eyes from the sun. I needed a visor that did n't wrap half way around my head and was flexible enough to let my parka hood come around my face. This visor is perfect for that. The hat is great with useful features like the inner compartment, sunglass holders, and chin strap which are sometimes extra charge items. It is REALLY comfortable where it sits on my head, the fabric is soft and does not feel tight or give me a headache. My husband and I purchased our visors while on a road trip and I like them so much that I have stolen his. They are great for my pickleball matches and wash in the machine beautifully. I read conflicting reviews on how waterproof it is. I plan to use for long hime in Portugal later this month. If I encounter torrential downpours, I will also have a waterproof hood to wear over top. I think the color I purchased is fine for what I need.
