Loved them on groomed trails, fresh snow, powder snow. ... The price point is amazing for what you get, especially if you get the kit that includes poles with snow

This has been my go- to snowshoe for 2 years now and they have n't let me down yet. I keep the back strap at the same spot and just adjust them each time I go out with the spin function at the top of my foot. It stays put no matter the incline or uneven path. I rarely have to re- tighten or adjust them once they are on. I leave them outside in the back of my pick- up for the next adventure and no string or strap has ever broken on me. They are very durable. Would definitely buy again.

I 've tried several kinds of snowshoes but love my Yukon Charlie's Advanced SPIN Snowshoes. Since I have Raynaud's and my hands get very painful when they get cold, it's such a joy to be able to turn the dial to get the perfect fit. Once the back strap is the right length for your boots, if you always snowshoe with the same boots, you only need to open the front binding- and it opens with one pull of the release cord. Easy peasey. The price point is amazing for what you get, especially if you get the kit that includes poles with snow baskets. In summer, you can remove the baskets and use the poles for hiking; and if you lose or break a ski pole, these will work for skiing too( with snow baskets on). Since my 2016 Elite SPIN snowshoes are still good as new, I 'm confident my Advanced SPIN snowshoes will last a long time too.

We tried our Yukon Charlies ’s snowshoes for a full week in Steamboat, CO. Loved them on groomed trails, fresh snow, powder snow. Our conclusion is that they were perfect for flat trails, a bit more difficult to use in downhill, steep slopes, as they had a tendency to slide forward. Loved the SPIN binding system but had one bad experience with the pull down system, as the cord broke and my shoe got stuck in the closed binder. May be a quality issue of the Northwave dial system that YC ’s should retest…

They provide enough flotation in deep snow, great traction going up and down steep ice crusted trails and are narrow for easy shoeing on narrow

Really enjoy these snowshoes... excellent traction, good on steeper slopes, icy surfaces, bright colour. They have stood up very well.

Bought these as soon as they came out because I saw a prototype at the Banff Mt. Film Festival last year and have coveted them ever since. I LOVE them! Had a pair of Lightning Ascents before, but hated the 3- strap bindings-- hard to get on and off, did n't stay on. The ratchets are perfect. They never come off in use-- but are easy to put on and take off when I want to. Only problem I had was during wet borderline freezing conditions, one ratchet buckle froze up-- but easy enough to wiggle around and get it working again. These have become my go- to snowshoes-- and I have many pairs of other styles.

Seriously one well built snowshoe system. Lightweight but the frame is a beast. The decking and bindings, use and time will tell, but both appear solid. The revised HyperLink Binding is the primary reason I chose this shoe. Ease of entry and how well they hold to my boot is outstanding. But the most significant improvement over my old shoes is the entire binding `` '' tracks '' ''; there is little lateral movement, making them so much more comfortable and efficient. The 360 Traction Frame is grippy as you could possibly need. But it also allows for a more even foot placement on packed and uneven trails. Tube frames lay on the contour of the crunchy stuff while the Traction Frame cuts through and sets more evenly. It's kind of a big deal. 240 pounds with a 30 '' '' shoe. Would not want to go smaller, and there is no need to. Really easy to maneuver. Larger shoes carry so much better in the deep stuff, so I would advocate going larger if you are in doubt. Because there is not much more weight between lengths and maneuverability is not compromised.

Very lightweight. Bindings are easy to get in/out of and adjust to size.

I really like' em. My first choice for most conditions. Add the tails next. I like the simple but efficient harness system. Easier than Boa! So maneuverable. Nothing grips better than MSR. They shed the sticky snow quite nicely as well. I like the lightweight design. In extremely deep powder or super soft conditions, I go back to my Tubbs 9X36 '' ''. They feel like clubs after using the MSR's, but the extra surface is sometimes nice.

I love how quiet they are compared to hard plastic shoes. ... I would highly recommend this product. ... No more sliding up and down the hills for us and excellent floatation through the deep

Unbeatable traction and extremely lightweight. It almost feels like there's nothing on your feet.

These rock. Did a long 7 hour hike, lots of steep icey grades, mixed snow, work better than expected. I would highly recommend this product.

I bought the lightning accents for work and pleasure uses. I love how quiet they are compared to hard plastic shoes. The bindings keep my foot secure and the heel bar is much appreciated when going up steep grades.

I have taken these snowshoes out on 2 trips. One was 2 1/2 hours and the other was 3 1/2 hours. They performed great and would recommend these to anyone who is active in the winter outdoors! The one issue I had and it was n't much, was that the straps kept coming out of the little clips that hold them once you tighten them up. They never came apart, it is just the straps were loose a lot of the time, even though I would re- engage them??

The shoes seem sturdy and maneuverable as I was able to climb up and over several snow covered logs and walk about the saplings. ... Highly recommend this

My husband and I tried snowshoeing for the first time in Northern Michigan and it was so much fun, I had to own my own pair. I did a little research on the snowshoes out there and these were by far the best value for the money! They were super easy to put on and take off, the best system I 've ever seen! The heel lifts were great for climbing uphill, they make a big difference. I 've have a whole new outlook on winter sports, this being one of my very favorites! Get out and buy some now before the snow is all gone!

I bought a pair of the YC Advanced Series for myself back in early December and have been using them a ton since! With all the snow we have been getting in NY they have been the best purchase I have made in a long time. The snowshoes are really easy to slip on and tighten down and really a blast to go out and get some fun exercise in. Overall, they have held up really well to the abuse thus far and continue to impress!
