[ This is my second pair of Trail Pegasus, and I like it more than the first one:) The Pegasus are a staple for any running enthusiast, but I had n't worn a pair of trail shoes until recently, and I 'm sold. The sole has a lot more grip, which makes these shoes truly `` all- terrain '', both for trail runs but also for every day walks. On top of that, these shoes include Gore- Tex material, making them water resistant( no more excuses not to go for a run in light rain!). They are as comfy as their non- trail Pegasus counterparts, and they have a very similar fit. This color combination has quickly become a favorite for their versatility. As with any Pegasus, I 'd recommend sizing up half a size if you regularly run long distances( 6+ miles). Looking forward to many trail runs over the summer!

[ These shoes do not disappoint! I wore them hiking, great support and no slip! No breaking in period required. I have also worn them walking my dogs and they were just as comfortable, with great support! I wore them to the gym for some hit workouts and they provide good stability with flexibility when needed. Highly recommended!!

[ These shoes are durable and perfect for the trails or the road. The extra foam helps absorb the impact whether you 're on the rocks or the road and the gore- Tex keeps you dry through the creeks and puddles.

[ Wow! These are my new go- to workout shoes. I do everything in them and have experienced no problems during my Zumba, cycling, running, and HIIT workouts. They ’ re super spongy, almost like walking on one of those rubber bouncy floors at the playground. The mesh material keeps them airy and lightweight. They don ’ t have much grip on indoor hard floors but they still get the job done. Outdoors they ’ re great and really flex well with the changing terrain. The curved sole in the back has a unique design and allows for a lot more mobility than a flat shoe. It ’s almost like rocking in a rocking chair! If I could change one tiny thing I would like to have the foam piece on the back heel sit a little higher for more support but it ’s not a big deal at all, just a personal preference. Regardless, these shoes are still so soft and comfortable. I ’ d definitely get more of the w pegasus trail 5 gtx in different colors!

I really like these shoes. I had the previous edition, and those were my favorite shoe maybe ever. Build quality, solid, even better than the 4s. Will resist water to a point, but it ’s not meant to be a rain boot. Comfortable, extremely so during the first 200 miles. Love the grip of the soles, especially in more treacherous conditions. Would recommend 100%.

I needed some hiking shoes to hike North Cascades National Park in Seattle. Never had hiking shoes before, but hated that they looked so clunky. I saw that trail running shoes work well for hikes as well and allow your feet to stay flexible. I saw these for sale and gave it a try. Wow. It genuinely provided so much support for hiking and light jogging. I hiked through brush, rocks, gravel, tree roots, grass, and other terrains. I did n't slip a single time and the shoes really cushioned each step. Safe to say, I would have been doomed with regular running shoes. After hiking a few days, the shoes still looked new! They were a bit dusty from the trail itself, though. Treads on the bottom looked new, did n't see any scratches or gouges, laces were not frayed. I got the Gore- Tex variant, so at the end of the hike, I walked into the shallow end of a lake and wiped them off, no water got in. I half- sized up. My regular shoe size is a 9, but I went 9. 5 because I wore thicker socks and appreciate the toe room during hiking as I do n't want my toes banging the front of the shoe. Feet also swell when hiking. All in all, I hiked around 20 miles on this trip as well as walking around city areas, so probably closer to 30 miles. I had no issues whatsoever and would recommend them. If Nike wants to sponsor me for this review, I 'm all ears because they 've won me over with these purposeful shoes.

Most comfortable run on the planet for a trail run however the traction nubs wear out very fast. Would be great if Nike could make the sole of the shoe more durable.

These shoes are so comfortable it's ridiculous. The fact that they are GORE- TEX and waterproof is even better. I am outside a lot during my work days and when is raining my feet starting dry it's great. I 'll be buying more NIKE TRAIL shoes soon!

Great shoe. Fits great, looks great, performs great. The white/photon dust color way is top shelf. Small small thing I don ’ t like is the shape of the tongue, not terrible, but my little nitpick. Overall 10.
When selecting winter trail running shoes, consider features that enhance traction, insulation, and water resistance. Look for outsoles with aggressive tread patterns to provide grip on slippery surfaces, as well as materials that offer waterproofing to keep your feet dry in wet conditions. Insulated linings can help maintain warmth during colder runs, while a secure fit is essential to prevent slipping and blisters on uneven terrain. Additionally, reflective elements can improve visibility in low-light conditions, making your runs safer.

They typically feature enhanced traction for slippery surfaces, water-resistant or waterproof materials to keep feet dry, and insulation for added warmth. Additionally, these shoes often have a more rugged construction to provide stability and support on uneven terrain, making them suitable for winter trail running.
Winter trail running shoes are typically made with water-resistant or waterproof materials to keep feet dry in wet conditions. Breathable mesh panels may also be included to promote airflow while maintaining protection from the elements.
Winter trail running shoes are designed to perform well in cold and wet conditions, providing traction and protection on slippery surfaces. However, while they excel in winter weather, they may not be ideal for extremely hot or dry conditions due to their insulation and water-resistant features. It's important to consider the specific weather conditions you will encounter when choosing footwear for trail running. Many runners opt for different shoes based on seasonal changes to ensure optimal performance and comfort.
Traction is crucial in winter trail running shoes as it helps provide stability and grip on slippery or uneven surfaces, such as snow and ice. Good traction allows runners to maintain their footing, reducing the risk of slips and falls during their runs. Additionally, effective traction enhances overall performance by enabling better control on varied terrain, which is essential for navigating winter trails safely and efficiently.
Winter trail running shoes should fit snugly but comfortably, similar to regular running shoes, with a focus on providing additional insulation and protection. It's important to ensure there is enough room in the toe box to accommodate thicker socks, which are often worn in colder conditions. The fit should also allow for some movement of the toes while maintaining a secure heel to prevent slipping. Overall, a proper fit will enhance comfort and performance on winter trails.
Waterproofing in winter trail running shoes helps keep your feet dry and comfortable in wet and snowy conditions. This feature prevents moisture from entering the shoe, which can lead to discomfort and cold feet during your run. Additionally, waterproof materials often provide better insulation, helping to maintain warmth in colder temperatures. Overall, waterproofing enhances the overall performance and enjoyment of winter trail running.
Winter trail running shoes are designed primarily for running on snowy or icy trails, but they can also be suitable for other outdoor activities. Their durable construction and traction make them effective for hiking, walking, or even light snowshoeing. However, it's important to consider the specific demands of each activity, as some shoes may offer features that are more beneficial for running than for other uses. Always ensure that the shoes provide the necessary support and comfort for your intended activity.
Winter trail running shoes often feature insulation materials designed to provide warmth and comfort in cold conditions. Common types of insulation include synthetic materials that trap heat while allowing moisture to escape, as well as fleece linings that enhance warmth without adding bulk. Some shoes may also incorporate waterproof membranes to keep feet dry in wet and snowy environments. These features help ensure a comfortable running experience during winter months.
When choosing winter trail running shoes, consider your running style, terrain, and weather conditions. Look for features such as waterproof materials to keep your feet dry, insulation for warmth, and aggressive outsoles for traction on slippery surfaces. Additionally, ensure the fit is comfortable and allows for adequate movement, especially if you plan to wear thicker socks. Finally, consider the level of cushioning and support you need based on your running distance and personal preference.
