[ Aside from looking like a regular pair of training shoes, these are amazing on the trails! The tread is light enough to be able to run short distances( I ’ ve done about 5 miles mostly incline so far), but also grips and helps with stability on uneven dirt paths. The insoles are comfortable and can be worn on walks and while running errands. They also blend in perfectly with a gym or athleisure outfits which is my favorite part about them. Only “ con ” I have noticed so far is that they feel a little tight in the vamp area( I have pretty narrow feet)- hoping a little wear and tear and fixing the laces a little more will help.

I bought the shoes because we own 2 large Golden Doodles who need to go outside or be walked several times a day. Sometimes we run. These shoes have gone thru mud, snow, puddles, and more, and never missed a beat. My feet stayed dry and I just rinsed the shoes upon returning inside and good as new. I normally wear a 7. 5, but sized up to an 8 and the fit is perfect. I really like the extra room in the toebox, so I can wiggle my toes. However, the shoes do tend to run a bit narrow, so just a heads up if you have a wide foot. The shoes easily accomodated my orthotic once I pulled out the insole provided.( Hey, Nike, these shoes should have a unglued, easily removable, insole!) Overall, I am thrilled with my purchase.

Not tried in the winter rain yet, will see that parth in warmer days. They are warm to feel in the cold weather. The soles are same as my peg 39 shield and storm tread sole is excellent for grip in wet or smooth surfaces, but the price is, it ’s impossible to clean once you got mud in. I had to go straight in garden and rinse it off, use a brush to remove the mud before it sets. I bought them on sale which seems OK price but would not pay full price. Buy at least half a size up, as they run a little small. Nike have never got the sizes right or consistent.

[ I ’ ve been seeking for a pair of shoes that are comfortable to walk in long distance, can maintain its support, and ultimately be my go- to walking shoes for the 1+ hr daily walks with my dog. I ’ m usually splitting my time between three different pairs of shoes for these daily walks- leather Jordans for when it ’s slightly wet outside, rain boots when it ’s really wet, and knitted running shoes for the nicer days in case we want to jog at any point during the walk. Because the Gore- Tex is versatile, it was able to address all three case needs and I have been wearing it every day for the past two weeks since I got them. The inside is not as soft like some other shoes but it ’s also not too hard like walking on the cement directly. There is a slight bounce that gives me comfort in knowing that the shoe is absorbing some shock from my footsteps and when I found myself at the beach with them on, I was pleasantly surprised that water and sand did not seep into the front of shoes like it normally would ’ ve with the knits( mind that I didn ’ t walk into the ocean with them on and am referring to an occasional splash while walking on the shore). As for the design, I thought that the little weather icons on the shoelaces was a cute yet settled detail. I was worried that shoes like this would make my feet look clunky, but it ’s giving more of the contemporary fashion with an edge of construction workwear. Highly recommend them for a daily wear! I have yet to test them in arduous hiking or heavy downpours but my impression is that these will satisfy my daily walking needs longer than most other shoes.

As someone with a lot of foot problems, finding shoes that are comfortable, supportive, and that look nice had been a challenge. After trying similar LL Bean and Timberland shoes, I finally got the Moab 3 from Merrell. After 4 years of daily use and frequent outdoors activity including outings with my son's scout troop, the upper started to crack where my foot flexes. The sole and lining was still in good condition with reasonable wear. With a rainy camping trip looming, I got the replacement pair and have been just as happy with the new shoes as I had been with the old ones. This boot the sizing has changed slightly they are smaller in the toe box. I went with a half size larger but I probably could have stayed with my regular size 10 and just broke them in. They are to me a light version on the quest boots that are much heavier and clunck than these. I 've bought a few different salomon hiking boots over the years and you ca n't go wrong if you are a day hiker with these they are agile and do n't slip dry or wet they get the job done and protect your feet in every situation. I ’ ve worn Salomon boots for years. Since they dont have the older model x ultra mid boots. I decided to try these ones out. They look nice and seem to have all the features from the previous model. However, they have an uncomfortable pressure point located on the inside middle part of both boots. Which makes it uncomfortable to wear as soon as you wear them. Hoping breaking them in after wearing them over time will fix this problem.

First of all, I am a woman and the colors of the women's of the weatherized I did n't like. And I like some of the colors of the men's. So I found the conversion from men's to women's. They feel great and look great!!! Could not ask for a better shoe.

I keep a couple of pairs of Ghosts for years because they keep the same fit and comfort/grip every iteration. I keep a couple of pairs because they are my go to shoes in wet weather to walk the dog over mud and other wet terrain and alternate with one pair in use and the other drying out that day. I wear wool socks so even in cold wet weather I am okay. This new weatherized version helps even more because the fabric resists the wetness more. This is now my only Brooks shoe because unfortunately my favorite for most of my ventures is the Glycerin and the way the heel has changed on the 22 over previous versions slips and does not provide me a secure fit. Sad because the Ghost for wet and muddy and the Glycerin for dry and concrete was a fantastic combination until now. I will stick with the Ghost for wet conditions and hope Brooks does not ruin the Ghost design. A great selling point for the Ghost has been in all iterations so far, if one version fits and is suitable, the next version will not be radically changed and is still a good fit. Radical change is not always a good thing. So, yes, the weatherized change and the new sole are fantastic. And hooray the fit has not changed on the Ghost. The only minor convenience for me is that it is slightly hotter than the regular Ghost because of the beefier weatherization in warm weather. In cooler weather that is a big plus.

These have been my everyday wear for 8 months, and i couldnt have asked for a better pair of boots. Great fit, comfort, traction, and more durable than I expected. I purchase these hikers for a trip to Caprock Canyons in Texas, and they did not disappoint. Hiked a really tough terrain for over 8 miles, and these were comfortable the entire time. I have another popular brand of hikers, that I do like as well, however, these did not make my feet sweat like my others do, and they were not as heavy as my others, so due to that fact, I love these Salomon X Ultta 360 hikers. The toe box is wide, the build is great. Highly recommend.

Love these shoes!! Great cushion especially under heal. Construction seems solid. Tread pattern is very “ grippy ” and fairly aggressive. Fairly wide toe box is comfortable but not over sized. These shoes fit well as the size indicates. They don ’ t seem to run big or small. Just about right. Also love the detail in the cacti by eyelets. The print inside the shoe, and they even mirrored the Nike logo on the sole so the orientation is correct when leaving footprint!!!
