I sprayed them with a water bottle as a test to the waterproof claim and the water beaded and rolled right off. The inserts are thick and have a ton of cushion to add to the overall comfortability. I imagine like most Sorel boots these would wear well but I found the soles were really stiff and the boots were slightly wide for my feet, so I returned them. Because I never wore them in wet weather I 'm not sure how waterproof they actually are but the sole and lower portion of the boot seems well insulated for precipitation.

My wife told me that Ugg recommends wearing their boots without socks, I was skeptical at first but the fur lining is plenty warm enough to not need socks and it completely stopped me from getting blisters, so almost always wear these boots without socks.

I 'm writing this from Norway. We spent the last week in Denmark, then came here to see the Northern Lights. Denmark was cold and wet. The sidewalks had 1- 2 of melted snow, and temps in the 20s Fahrenheit. No water got in, my feet were a perfect temperature, and I walked ~8mi a day. The boots were soft, comfy, and lightweight. Never got overheated. Then we get to Norway. It's powdery snow and 6- 10 degrees colder. At night, we got in a van and chased the Northern Lights. As we kept driving inland, the temps plummeted. It was 6 degree farenheit. The tour company was giving out replacement boots to those deemed unsuitable. The guides were literally assessing people's boots and deciding whether they would freeze. They said things like oh those are Sorel's, you 're fine. They suggested I take the pro boots but I was confident. Everyone else in my party had freezing feet. Mine were perfect, for hours. Like genuinely perfect, like I was indoor in slippers. We also went to a reindeer farm. The Sami people talked about how the temps drop to- 40, and they showed their boots. It was leather, with fur, and grass insulation inside. I thought, hmm, those are like mine. I have to tip my hat to the creators of these. Genuinely, call me, I want to hear your life story. I know this sounds like I 'm a plant or influencer. I 'm not. I 'm an outdoorsman and traveler and I put my gear through the wringer. I 've got complaints about a lot of gear. Not these. The one thing I ca n't review yet is durability, but the rest is five stars.

[ I am normally a size 6 but tried the 7 since that ’s what was available. I figured I am wearing heavier socks in the winter. The fit is good, even with thinner socks. There is room so it doesn ’ t feel too big or too small. All of that fur will definitely keep my feet warm in the winter. It hits about mid calf for me, which I like. They will be perfect for a snowy winter.

[ The most comfortable boots- always! Sorel boots never disappoint. They are supportive and can be worn all day. I love these for ski season but also use them for slippery slushy city days. They run true to size. In the past, I ’ ve ordered a size down based on other reviews but I think Sorel runs true to size.

I wear sz 6 shoes and regular boots, but the local store only had sz 7, which were too big so I ordered 6- 1/2. They 're slightly roomy, perfect with thicker socks and fine with regular socks. I love the soft cozy feel, very comfortable for walking- not clunky, and good tread. Hope we get more snow!

Great fit. I wear a solid 9 across most shoe brands but read past reviews on Bogs being small sizing. I purchased the size 11 in this shoe, and did n't even need to break them in. Size 11 fit me perfectly, given I will wear these with really thick socks while I 'm trekking around Alaska.

My qualifications for boots this year were 1. waterproof, 2. comfortable, 3. stylish. I walk to work and needed something that could get me there and back, and something that I could wear the whole day. These did the trick! One note- the first time I wore them, my feet were dry but the backs of my calves were soaked! I was flicking up water when I walked. I tried slowing down, and the 2nd wear did not make my legs wet!
