They also have the four quick lace metal tabs for the laces which I think are a must. I 've bought two pairs in the last two years. I 'm on a quest to see all of our National Parks and these were my first purchase. So far we have hiked in Shenandoah( rocky, damp, sometimes slippery) and in Death Valley( HOT! Dry! gravelly, uneven terrain) and these boots have been perfect in both. We got wet in Shenandoah but my feet stayed dry. We got sun- baked in Death Valley and my feet stayed blister- free. I bought my first pair of Targhee II mid boots in 2012, and have bought at least 4 more pair over the years. These just fit my feet so well. When the Targhee III came out I tried them, but Keen had changed the last and they did n't agree with my feet. I was so thankful that Keen kept the II version. Although, color choices were no longer updated each year. When I saw the Leave no Trace collaboration color I had to have them. These are the most comfortable Targhee IIs I 've had. The cushion and arch support are great for my feet as I do n't need a high, hard arch. The boot collar is soft and molded to my ankle in short order. The tongue is padded, yet soft and pliable- not stiff and irritating. I 'm seriously thinking about ordering another pair!

[ This is my 4th pair of Oboz Bridgers. I use the 10 '' insulated for winter hiking and snowshoeing, the low for rocky terrain in warm weather, and have been running a set of Premium Mids for fall hiking. These things are incredibly well constructed, very supportive, totally waterproof, and super comfortable. With my current mids having put in a long service life, including plenty of winter wear, I was due for a new set. They 've made some thoughtful improvements to the tongue and lace hooks, but everything else that I love about the shoes remains intact. The factory insoles are great, but I do swap them out for a set of Superfeet as a personal preference. Despite a lack of insulation and good breathability, there is enough material and protection to make these a bit stifling in warm weather. The added benefit is that they are great during chilly hikes in late fall and make great everyday shoes for winter. As has been my experience with Oboz, I did bump up a half size and it fits perfectly.

I work in a warehouse and walk 10- 12 miles a day, 260 days a year. I have worn the Eagle Trail boots by Georgia Boot this past year. They have been amazing. Only now are the insides starting to fail at the heels. The outsole has worn evenly and still has lots of life left. The leather has resisted being run over by pallet jacks, the toes have saved my toes numerous times. I bought them at the outlet store in Nelsonville and love them so much I will order them again full price. My feet do n't sweat, stink or get blisters. I sized them in W to allow exptra room in the toe box and will likely go up a half size this time. They fit true to size and look very good after a touchup with Helix Foot and Boot care. I have been buying the breeze boot for about 20 years now. I would agree that the laces need to be a bit longer so you can double tie them. On zappos web site they advertise that the 7742 has gore tex lining and vibram soles, you might want to check on that one. Other than that the boots are really comfortable.

I 'm now looking for a new pair of the 7742, but I see much to my disappointment that the outer sole is no longer Vibram. The part number is the same, but the sole is n't. I have fairly narrow feet and these fit perfectly and are very comfortable. You ca n't even tell they have a steel toe. My only complaint is the top lace grommet. It has a different type of hook so it is a little difficult to get the lace in it when it is pulled out. I still rate this as Excellent though.

Felt broke in on first wear, they last me about 2 months of working which is good because I ’ m a UPS driver. They are waterproof and my feet never hurt from these, they ’ ve become my go to boot purchase. Also come with dark laces which I prefer over the orange ones.

I have never loved a pair of boots more. Comfortable. Stylish. Rugged. Did I say comfortable? I had a young man tell me `` Those boots are freaking awesome. '' I am ordering another pair just to have them on hand for when these go. I love everything about them including the laces. I cleaned and protected the boots with fluid film lanolin oil. Darkened them up a bit but in my opinion it is the best stuff for leather. Thank you Timberland for big and wide sizes.
