I got the tan leather color which I love. originally went half size bigger like website suggested but it was to big so I went with my true size a 10. I took these on my rafting trip down the GRAND CANYON. I brought them for the side hikes from the river. Which are usually washes with some water crossings. These shoes did so well! They have incredible traction for climbing over big rocks in dry washes, or on slick ledges. The traction is incredible! They were comfortable right off the go and my custom orthotics fit in then since they have a removable foot bed. I loved these boots on the trip! Completely waterproof over the foot but if water gets up to the mid part where the laces are water does come in. I am going to look for a goretex hiking gater for that.

I have fairly narrow feet and these fit perfectly and are very comfortable. You ca n't even tell they have a steel toe. My only complaint is the top lace grommet. It has a different type of hook so it is a little difficult to get the lace in it when it is pulled out. I still rate this as Excellent though.

Only now are the insides starting to fail at the heels. The outsole has worn evenly and still has lots of life left. I bought them at the outlet store in Nelsonville and love them so much I will order them again full price. My feet do n't sweat, stink or get blisters. On zappos web site they advertise that the 7742 has gore tex lining and vibram soles, you might want to check on that one. Other than that the boots are really comfortable.

I work both inside and outside in the rugged and on polished floors in interior Alaska doing communications. I bought my first pair of the Two Harbors size 12 from an outfitter up here 6 years ago. I wore them nearly everyday for both work and leisure. They were so comfortable that I did n't like my hiking boots ad much as these I put many a mile on those vibram soles and it took 5 years to wear down the tread. Usually- 40 below and ice will really do a number on boots... but seriously these held up. I wanted so bad to replace them but I wore them down so badly on the inside tongue that I did n't have a part number or name for them. I just knew they were Irish Setter/Red Wing work boots. I have been wearing these boots for about 7 years. They used to be named ELY. Back around the time of covid, I was due a new pair of boots. I was able to find them luckily. But for a couple years they were not available. Come to find out they changed the name of them. Still a quality boot. I started using them because of a bad back issue I have. These boots have a great insole in them a great support system. I have been reading the other reviews on here and have a hard time grasping that some people have had a bad experience with this boot. I work heavy industrial and wear my boots 6 days a week ten hours a day, most weeks. Sometimes seven days a week. I have never had any issues with them other than. I wear them out as much as I use them. They are well worth the money spent on them and they are a great support system for anyone with a back issues. This is my opinion only, for someone with back issues, they have been a blessing to me. The price has went up since they changed the name of them, I guess it's a costly name. But all in all I will continue to buy these boots as long as I am working, which is about five more years and then I will buy my retirement pair, as I do not plan to wear them as much so they should last a lifetime.

All I did was work some boot dressing into the INSIDE of the top of the boot shaft( the leather area), right where it meets( and rubs against) the tongue.( In other words, inside the boot, just opposite the very top lace anchor.) WALA- no more squeak!

Great Quality with Danner boots. Tried the boot and felt comfortable right out off the box. I did notice that walking downhill my toes started to touch even with the laces tight. So I am sending them back with the provided return label looking for a half size larger.

I 've worn these a few times a month for about five months now and I 'm impressed by their waterproof ability. Recently I had to work for several hours out in the rain and every layer I was wearing ended up soaked- but my socks and feet stayed dry! Construction wise I 'm concerned about how hard they are to pull on- I 'm afraid they 'll wear out at the heel early.

I bought my first pair of Targhee II mid boots in 2012, and have bought at least 4 more pair over the years. These just fit my feet so well. When the Targhee III came out I tried them, but Keen had changed the last and they did n't agree with my feet. I was so thankful that Keen kept the II version. Although, color choices were no longer updated each year. When I saw the Leave no Trace collaboration color I had to have them. These are the most comfortable Targhee IIs I 've had. The cushion and arch support are great for my feet as I do n't need a high, hard arch. The boot collar is soft and molded to my ankle in short order. Surprised by them as they were on sale, nice fit with a wider foot and not getting the wide version. Nice breathing with mesh flex for a leather boot. Only had them one day but very grippy and lots of stability from heel. I can see why one review did n't like heel support, so far it's improved my posture/stance. Arch feels great. My first pair of Chaco's boots- The package arrived on time- purchased 1/2 size up men's fields lace boot. In hand inspection of the boots coloring and construction are excellent. The dark brown leather is blemish free. The feeling of fit wearing thick wool socks is comfortable, no odd pressure points along the upper or side portion of the shoes. Man made foam insert foot bed sits on top of the compressed paper or leather mid sole. The glued on `` Chaco '' rubber sole is grippy and has deep treads for a secure wet stance in the rain. Very comfortable around the calf area because of the elastic cut out design, provides easy flex while walking. Overall a good looking boot.

I was looking for a waterproof boot that was n't thermalized so I could wear it in a range of weather-- these are perfect. The Chaco footbed is nice and supportive, and the shaft is wide enough for easy on and off. Also love the finger loop at the back to help. I wear a size 8 or 8. 5 wide in women's and I bought the men's 7-- it fits perfectly and the width is great.

Usually wear a women ’s 8. 5 wide. These fit just about right. These are snug at the instep if you have “ taller ” feet; it took a few wears to start to feel comfortable, and takes a shoe horn every time to get them on. Surprisingly roomy at toe box( which is where my width is). Learher and construction seem good. Cork later at the sole makes these a bit more casual, but colorwise, plays well with all the neutrals. Good looking for a casual boot. Squeaky for first day, then not again. Haven ’ t tested waterproofing yet.
