great jacket. the jacked runs true to size. it is an over nice jacket. he has gotten so many complements on it. the color way is unique. the jacket is also very durable. I would n't use this as a winter coat in the midwest because it is simply not thick enough but it does get the job done for it to be a fall jacket.

Great jacket for cooler temperatures! Love that it has a hood so would be good for light rain also. It has Velcro at the sleeves so you can adjust fit around your wrist as well as drawstrings to tighten along the bottom and waist. I would say it runs large as the fit is a bit bigger than expected for size M.

A good tribute to Detroit Jackets of older times. It's not a J97, and do n't expect it to keep you warm in extreme cold, but that's not the point. It's a heritage design with the corduroy color, duck canvas outer, and t shirt like liner on the inside. Outstanding jacket for those sort of cool Spring/Fall days or a nice evening outing. I wear this on my windshieldless moto going 70- 89 mph and it does the job on windblocking. When it rained, it keep deflecting rain. I wear a merino thermal, my casual, moto protective shirt, and my thermal heated liner, which I do n't have to turn on the heated liner at these temps because of the windblocking and having gear insulate the heat inside. I love this field jacket; my favorite jacket. I want to buy a more expensive jacket here, but this one was beautiful to pass up. Its big for sure for my 5' 5 stature at Medium, but I have full range of motion with all my gear on underneath and that's awesome. Buy it! worth it!

Great jacket for those of us living in the Southeast US. was able to wear comfortably down to around 50 degrees F with only a lightweight cotton flannel shirt underneath. You can go much colder if you have a suitable insulation or base layer underneath. I bought in dusk for a classic style yet unique colorway that stands out among your standard olive or khaki surplus jackets. The G1000 softens up a bit with wear. Supposedly water resistant, but I would caution against wearing if more than a light sprinkle is in the forecast.

Nothing on this jacket is disappointing. The hood actually rolls back up into the collar. It is great against the wind and rain while on bike. The tie downs on the inside keep all the heat inside. While I have n't used the pockets much yet I know they 'll be great for gloves and hats this winter.
