It does it ’s job well. My child is dry. I only wish bright colors were an option because it ’s easier to spot a child in a bright green jacket than a black or dark blue jacket on a rainy day.

My son has a cold weather red Columbia jacket that he is outgrowing and he needed something lighter for spring. He is super excited to have a lighter jacket that is also red! I never have to worry about quality with Columbia jackets which is very important because when he likes a jacket he wants to wear it all the time even in the house. Very happy with this purchase.

[ Bought this in size XXS for my petite( 40 in tall, 31 lbs, size 3T bottoms) 4- yr- old to grow into. It ’s very long and baggy on her for now, which isn ’ t terrible. I like that it has the Omni- heat foil on the inside, which was the main reason I bought it as it can get as low as 9 degrees where I live. I wasn ’ t aware of the “ Outgrown ” thing and was pleasantly surprised to learn about it as I was checking out the jacket. That seems super useful and since I bought this to be grown- into, the extending cuffs add some extra life to the jacket. It ’s still summer right now, so I can ’ t comment on how toasty it keeps my toddler just yet, but it ’s pretty thick and I ’ m guessing this will be amazing for the next 2- 3 years.

Bought in black size M for my petite 11 year old( 55 lbs, 53 inches). She loves it! Definitely great quality for my rough and tumble kid. Big enough for her to wear next year, but also wearable now. Will be good for skiing, sledding, and general school wear( and by this I mean `` belly boggin '' which kids slide down hills in just their coats on their bellies... great for coat longevity...).
When selecting a reflective coat for kids, consider features such as visibility, comfort, and weather resistance. Look for materials that include reflective elements to enhance safety in low-light conditions. Additionally, ensure the coat is lightweight and breathable for active play, while also providing adequate insulation for colder weather.
Reflective coats for kids can be designed for various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and chilly temperatures. Many options come with waterproof or water-resistant materials to keep kids dry during wet weather. It's important to choose a coat that matches the specific climate and activities your child will be engaged in.
To ensure a proper fit for a reflective coat, measure your child's chest, waist, and height, and refer to the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer. It's also helpful to consider the coat's intended use; for active play, a slightly looser fit may allow for better movement. Always check for adjustable features like cuffs and hems that can enhance the fit.
Wearing a reflective coat during outdoor activities significantly enhances visibility, especially in low-light conditions. This added visibility can help keep children safe while biking, walking, or playing outside. Additionally, many reflective coats are designed with comfort and functionality in mind, allowing for ease of movement during active play.
Yes, reflective coats for kids can be excellent for layering in colder weather. They can be worn over base layers and mid-layers to provide warmth while still ensuring visibility. Look for coats that are designed to accommodate layering without compromising fit or comfort.
