I do n't know what dark wizard lord Cotopaxi made a deal with to find this space material, but it is the softest thing I 've ever had on my body, and I 've had literal baby faces on my body before. This jacket is great, it reminds me of the older version of this called the Paray but this one is a little more stretchy, the sleeves were a little baggy and longer than normal so I went down to a medium. The snap button is awesome for arm mobility for tennis and venting.

I bought this in the early summer bc I was in desperate need of a new rain jacket( my old one was literally crumbling apart!). This past weekend I assisted in the rescue 7 people who were capsized in a pontoon boat. I dove into the water with phone and all in the pocket of this jacket. After the scary event ended I took my phone out of my pocket and was shocked to still see the phone screen activated! The phone still needed about 7 hours to completely dry out and let me charge it but it ’s completely fine now. Obviously this jacket isn ’ t meant to be submerged but the saving the phone of it all felt worth mentioning. [ Have worn the First Light Stretch Hoodie for three months now, including on a few winter hikes& a XC ski in the Cascades. Couldn ’ t find another jacket that, at this high level of breathability and range of motion, also offers solid warmth& wind- resistance, great durability, and stylish looks for everyday use. A few jackets may be as breathable as this one, but none of them also offer good warmth+ good wind- resistance+ excellent durability. Only the Arc ’ teryx Proton LT seems to come close. The durability is due to a robust shell fabric( 40- denier) and the Primaloft Silver insulation, which is more durable than Gold and very close to it in warmth. Also, this jacket is fully featured, with an adjustable, well- fitting hood that doesn ’ t block the view, an internal zippered pocket, and two well- placed external zippered pockets. Everyone has to make their own calculation, but I think the three ounces this jacket weighs more than some of the less durable, less featured jackets, are well- worth it. Also, this jacket packs down well. I have a large and it compresses to about 2 liters. Super versatile, comfortable jacket for anything from hardcore outdoor uses, including high- output activities& campside use, to everyday wear.

Definitely a jacket for specific shoulder season weather: colder, semi- dry days. It's a warm jacket that sadly does n't have pit zips to let heat out when the hiking/climbing gets going. I had to fully unzip the front and leave it open. Would n't use it as a rain jacket. Could be used as a light snow jacket. I 've been using it as a springtime( and fall) belay jacket and it works great. If you get caught in a drizzle the repellancy works shedding water and wind. Love the soft, stretch fabric that does n't restrict moment and allows me to wear just a t- shirt underneath if need be. Big pockets all with good zippers and it packs into its own pocket. The hand cuffs are interesting and remind me of cycling jackets that are longer on top to keep water off the back your hands. It has stretch band cuff on the underside along wrist. So far i have n't had issue with them, but i worry the elastic will one day no longer be tight and the cuff could be baggy and useless. Maybe they should have stuck with classic Velcro straps to adjust cuff tightness-- only time will tell. Overall i like the jacket as my backup for when i do n't expect bad weather but need something just in case. A great jacket for walking around town too.

It adds just enough warmth over a base layer to reduce the bite of morning chill. The fabric is crazy stretchy and soft, and while I have n't been rough on this one, my insulated Kor Strata is a ski layer I have hammered all season with no issue. This thing is crazy packable too so it makes it easy to shove into a pocket or my lumbar pack.

This shell has proven a perfect addition to time in the elements where protection is critical and weight is a factor. I have used this on a several volcano ski missions this past summer and spring. It packs light and provides the summit protection needed when wind is ripping and body temps are dropping. Marmot allotted a good amount of pockets without going overboard and the pit zips provide ventilation that allows you to tune your protection on the move without having to stop to layer up or down. When it comes to rain protection, it's hard to beat Gore. It also vents well for active pursuits.

I can rarely find time to go for a run until night time and the temperature has been dropping significantly at night time. That is where this jacket has come in. [ What an absolute gem of a running jacket! I live in northern New England where the weather can quickly change from hot to cold, rain to snow, and everything in between. Dressing for my run can be challenging and it changes every day. Lucky, this Run Visible Convertible Jacket is always in the mix. The quality is what I love the most. It ’s very thin and breathable yet the fabric is very strong. It won ’ t tear easily and it ’s sewn tightly in all the right places. The zipper is durable and doesn ’ t snag the fabric when zipping. This jacket can take some wear and tear from both me and Mother Nature and still hold up perfectly. The reflective material in the arms, wrist and other appropriate places gives me peace of mind. I tend to run in the evening when it starts to get dark. I feel comfortable that I ’ m visible to others without having to wear extra clothing or reflective bands. You also have the option to convert it to a jacket, vest, t- shirt, and tank top style. This comes in handy when running in variety of conditions like I do. Converting it to the different styles is a bit challenging at first but after you get the hang of it, you can do it quickly. You also have the option of the hood if need be. I ’ ve run in misty, windy, hot, and cool weather. I can honestly say that this handles any condition. It repels rain, blocks wind and works well in warm or cool conditions. Having only this jacket to tackle all these conditions is very nice. Overall, this is a well designed runners jacket. It ’s well made and engineered with the runner in mind. I ’ ve very happy with it and have also received many compliments on it. I ’ d highly recommend to others looking for a versatile jacket that will last a while.

[ This jacket does run slightly small in my opinion. I personally like my running clothes snug so I felt a medium, which is my usual size, was a good fit for me. If you prefer your clothes on the loose end I would size up. While I haven ’ t needed to convert this jacket to a vest yet, it is super easy to do and am looking forward to using this feature. So far I ’ ve only ran a few early mornings as the sun is rising in this jacket but I am truly amazed with the reflected material that spans across it. This was before I saw it converted into a vest. HA HA! As a runner having options for arm protection is crucial. If you dress too cold, you 're miserable. The sleeves are roomy enough to slide on without fighting a watch band and fall just past my wrists. A comfortable elastic sits around your wrist and does a pretty good job of keeping the sleeves in place while not feeling tight. The fabric of this jacket is soft to the touch and extremely light, providing a comfortable wearing experience that does n't weigh you down. Even though the fabric feels delicate, it proved itself perfectly balanced-- able to keep me comfortable in the winter chill at the start of my workout and manage to not leave me overheated at the end. The jacket fit like a glove, yet I still felt like I had plenty of room to move without anything riding up or feeling too tight. There was enough room to be able to wear anything from long sleeve to just a sports bra without issue. The hem is asymmetrical, going from shorter in the front to a slightly longer back hem line. I loved this because it still allowed use of a running belt while keeping my lower back more comfortably covered. And did I mention the hood? Light, but providing full coverage so this jacket can demonstrate the full force of its water repellant ability. The hood was my favorite feature. I feel like hoods often do n't cover enough or stay on well enough as you move. This one had no issues with that. Oh, and the front pockets zip, so you do n't have to worry about anything flying out while you 're moving. There's a lot to love in this jacket, and it even includes a whistle tucked into the lapel that you can use when you 're running alone or need to call out to your running buddy. I do n't have any complaints, but if I had to change one thing, I would lengthen the sleeves and add thumb holes. I did feel like the elastic kept the sleeves down pretty well, but thumb holes are just that extra security I love when I run. Overall, this jacket fit great, looked excellent, felt comfortable, and kept me covered and at an ideal temperature from the start of my run to the end.

I got this as a fun hiking jacket and I love the color so much it goes with so many of my outfits. But I will say that as I walk around the house with it and while I 'm hiking the elastic loop that you use to cinch in the bottom gets caught in door handles and in trees often which is kind of annoying. The vents on the back are pretty neat. The elastic on the cuff looks pretty cheap because the fabric is easier so you can see how thick the elastic is. Also the zipper looks funny when you cinch it up because the bottom of the zipper does n't get cinched obviously. Usually for crops jackets you can just talk this part upside down but because this one has a ruched pattern talking that part upside down causes the ruched parts to be hidden. Anyways still too cute for me to care. I found with the style of jacket you really need a size down because Free people is making it super oversized

I 've had many UA cage jackets, but this is by far, the best! Adding the hood is a great idea, but I 've always longed for pockets; Bam! Pockets! Every cage jackets, short of long sleeved, needs pockets! The only thing that has me a little confused is the option to cut off the long sleeves; cover to short sleeve. I like the idea, but I 'm not about to cut up a high quality jacket. Why not just add zippers to the sleeves so that they need taken off/on as one pleases? It's make more sense and functional.

This rain jacket is super impressive. When it comes to traveling, camping, hiking, or even exploring new cities, countries, etc. You ca n't beat the portability of this jacket. It is super thin and light making it easy to roll up and store into any type of bag weather it's a backpack, purse, or even large fanny pack. Even for being so light and thin, it easily stops water from getting through. I 've had zero issues with any type of moisture getting inside either due to prolonged periods of water exposure or leaks through any seals and stitching. I will say, because it's so thin, in colder weather, you would need a warmer layer underneath to act as insulation. That being said, you might need to get one size up than normal so it can fit over any layers you need. Also, if you are traveling through any thick brush or scraping up against rocks, you need to be careful about scraping or snagging any sharp/rough surfaces too hard to prevent any micro/macro tears in the material. Being so thin, it's not super durable, but it's not very easily torn either. Overall fantastic product and highly recommend
