I was searching for a duffle for its soft body vs any other luggage to have something easy to pack( big and roomy) and easy to grab and carry( handles on the sides of this bag, the backpack straps, or top carry straps!). I use it to pack for weekends at my partner's and future plans and it fits SO much!! The duffle is designed to fold into itself for storage as well and the wrapped outer part becomes a pocket accessible from in and outside of the duffle. I got this bag so I could just take one checked bag for my family ’s gear when we go on ski trips. I love the fact that it has wheels because, even though I love to look tough carrying 30 bags hanging off my neck and shoulders I ’ m just getting too old for that. The bag has a ton of space, in fact it is enough space to fit my whole families ski clothes plus our winter boots, freeing up space in our personal bags for our daily use items. It is nice and sturdy on its wheels which is an important feature for me. I can ’ t stand rolling luggage that tips over with the slightest bump on the pavement. A couple things I love about this bag is that even though it ’s large it ’s on the lighter side. I also love that you can cinch it down to keep things nice and tight.

Like everything Peak Design makes, this will exceed your expectations. It ’s quality, and comfy, the straps work nicely, and the leather accents look great. There are multiple ways to carry it, sling it, throw it on like a backpack, or grab it on the nice leather handle with your hand. As for size, It has enough room for me pack at least for ten days. I highly recommend using packing cubes to get the best out of it. The only con is the price, but being organized on a trip and the build quality is definitely worth it. I ’ m looking forward to getting many years of use out of it.

Good bag for overnights. Magnets on the handle could be stronger or the handles from the 65 liter bag that has the velcro wrap would be better. Other than that no problems.

Purchased the 35l duffel to help with photo cubes I bought. I have the medium and small camera cube. They fit well in the bag. Living in Florida this bag great for use at the beach and other shoots. No worries with setting on the ground when picking it up dirt, etc stays on the underside. Love having access through the top. Also great having a duffel for kick around use. Just pull the cubes out.

I bought this duffel last year when we relocated from California to the Midwest to take care of an elderly family member. We loaded up a 16foot truck and headed out on Route 66. This was my main bag for the trip and it worked out great. I was able to use this for in and out of motels along the way. I was somewhat careful with how to treat this bag, but realistically, I tossed it in the back of the truck several times, and even with the every day abuse of traveling this way, the bag held up wonderfully and looks brand new. As with all of the design products, this is another outstanding bag.

If you are a minimalist and like to travel internationally this is your pack! I took this pack across the the pedestrian in Tijuana, Mexico. I previously tried the Osprey Fairview on the same trip but the metal frame was extremely uncomfortable. I tried the smaller version this back and found it much more comfortable. This pack does shine when it's used with packing cubes. Not only does it make travel easier but it makes everything easier to find. The zip off top pack made things much easier as it was one less thing to lose as it was attached to the pack. I took it everywhere with me and left the larger pack at home. The built in zipper and pockets made things easier when finding things like my sunglasses, passport, meds, sunscreen, etc. The pocket with the water was a match made in heaven as it was hot and allowed me to carry water and refill when I was able to. On the way back I was still able to pack additional food items that I purchase on to the pack. This is where the hip belt shined and helped transfer the weight off of my back onto my hips. Loved it so much that I am planning on replacing my husband's pack with this one once it gives up the ghost. Overall money well spent!

Bought this for a one month, one bag trip to Thailand. Plenty of space and full of thoughtful ideas to make the most of it. I ’ m 6 ’ 8 ” and was still able to adjust this bag to my comfort. I think are a few opportunities for improvement. 1. Since this bag uses a large central compartment like a duffel bag, it would be nice to straps to hold stuff in place. I didn ’ t think it was a big deal when those were left off the latest allpa models, because at least those have enough pockets and zippers to organize. But it would have been useful in this design. 2. The Sling bag doesn ’ t lay flat and feels a bit awkward. The way the straps are attached, it feels like a Fanny pack. But this bag feels too large to wear it that way. What ’s puzzling is that Cotopaxi makes separate 8L sling bags and all of those have strap points that make more sense. Overall excellent backpack.

I bought the Patagonia Black Hole 25L in Seabird Grey from Dick ’s and couldn ’ t be happier. It ’s extremely comfortable to wear, even with a heavy load, thanks to the padded straps and breathable back panel. The quality feels top- notch, and the material is both durable and sleek. I especially love the Seabird Grey color. It ’s beautiful in person and has a more unique, matte finish compared to the older shiny versions. [ I brought the Thule Chasm along for a cross- country road trip( Denver- Maryland- up to New York) and then used it as a carry- on for a flight to the Dominican Republic — and it fit everything I needed, keeping it dry and contained. The material is super sturdy and easily withstood being tossed around in and out of rental cars, overhead bins, and sandy hotel rooms. I also really like the calming color( easy to spot) and the handle design, which makes it comfortable to pull through airports or grab quickly out of a trunk. It ’s compact enough to fit in an overhead bin but still has plenty of space for both wedding attire and beach attire for a full week. One thing to note: it only has wheels on one side. While that means fewer things that can break, it makes adding luggage on top a little harder to navigate. The main zipper is durable and I like that its tucked under a flap, keeping everything weather resistant- especially nice when traveling in the tropics with frequent passing rain. Bonus, it's made from 100 percent recycled materials. This is a durable pack that's gon na last a lifetime. Hope my kids like `` pond grey ''!
