'' In person, it is much more of a brighter burnt orange, and I was instantly in love. I was searching for a duffle for its soft body vs any other luggage to have something easy to pack( big and roomy) and easy to grab and carry( handles on the sides of this bag, the backpack straps, or top carry straps!). I use it to pack for weekends at my partner's and future plans and it fits SO much!! The duffle is designed to fold into itself for storage as well and the wrapped outer part becomes a pocket accessible from in and outside of the duffle. Bought the Panga 75 for my work and flyfishing travel adventures. This thing rocks! Fit a few days worth of clothes, and all of my fly gear on a recent weekend trip to Aruba. 9 wt 4 piece tube fit well in the bag. When my flight was delayed, I had to hop in a cab from the airport to the marina, and out to the flats. The Panga kept everything dry, including my iPad and electronics. The 75 fit in the overhead no problem on an AA Airbus 319. It ’s currently packed for NYC and a weekend with the wife for previews of Escape to Margaritaville. It ’s going to snow, but I know all my stuff will be dry in the Panga! 2 Fins up for the Panga 75!

But for longer stays, I tend to prefer a soft- sided suitcase so I can have the option to pack a bit more and expand the suitcase. I love that it has a hard shell on the backside of the bag so it can be laid down to pack easily. It also has fold out metal legs on the inside that help to support the bottom of the duffle bag so it will stand up on its own when it is packed. A secure garment strap on the inside will help keep those dress pants from being too wrinkled and multiple pockets for all the other items you need to bring with you. It even has expansion straps to help secure and support the bag. The handle glides smoothly up and down and the wheels are nice and heavy duty to withstand whatever obstacles you have to pass. I bought the 35L duffel bag in sage about a month ago and have used it three times. The quality of the bag is top notch. I love the feel of the materials and it ’s durability. I am able to get everything I need in the bag for a weekend and/or five- day trip. It is comfortable to carry and doesn ’ t feel too big. I mostly carry it by the handles because I also travel with a 20L backpack. The only con about the bag is the tote handles. The magnets are not strong at all and barely hold together. But this is minor and not a deal breaker since the bag has so many other great features. I would recommend the duffel bag. The sage is a beautiful color.

I ’ ve used this as my main bag and as a complement to a backpack. Works well with the PD cubes but also with other packing systems or just loose items due to its flexible structure.

[ Good alternative wheeled hybrid luggage option if you expect to need to go backpack mode in your trip. Unlike other hybrid wheeled options, the backpacking option on the Patagonia works quite well and is surprisingly comfortable. The bag itself is high quality but allows for organization to be packed in as necessary. The colorway for the bag is quite attractive and attention to detail is first rate, as usual for Patagonia.
