I bought this item recently. The Allen Key( Hex Key) included in this model was one size too small and did not help in any way during assembly. It will be loose and dangerous to use unless the correct hex key is used. Constructing this item ourselves took about an hour with two people. Why is the Allen key from the manufacturer not the correct size? The height of this stand is good, but weight and stability are indeed an issue. Anyone looking to purchase this stand should greatly consider looking at the user manual and adding/purchasing the additional weights to keep it in place during use. This item was NOT on the sales floor, but rather in a shipping container outside of the shop. It took asking for a salesperson to even show them what we were looking for( through online website of Dicks), rather than being able to shop freely and see the unit prior to purchase. Good item, but Everlast and Dicks, you CAN and should do better.

We bought this after giving up on trying to secure a hanging bag to the ceiling in our garage. The bottom base is attached by a huge zipper, it seems pretty heavy duty. We 've had it less than a month, though. Time will tell! The punching bag does seem to lean after using it, but it does n't full stand straight up again. So, depending on your preferences, you may not like that if space is limited. The base is pretty heavy. You have to drag it by the large thick handles which are nice.

After a failed attempt to buy this product from a martial arts discount store online, I purchased this from Dick ’s. The price and speed of delivery was excellent. I was also impressed with the financial options for purchase. The item comes in two boxes to help with cost of shipping and size of the shipping container. This bag meets every requirement you would need out of a muay thai bag. It is a sand/paper bag and I 've used it a few times so I do n't have any long tern test results. The leather appears to be very well stitched together and thick. I would have liked if it had another sewn in strap at the bottom for anchoring the bag but I do n't believe that is common practice with Thai bags.

I would say to disregard any of the negative reviews about this bag, saying it's flimsy. I almost steered clear of it for that reason until I checked exactly which heavy bags we have at my MMA school and many of them are these models. Yes, they 're softER than some bags could be, but they 're definitely up to par for real training. My guess is that whoever rated them as flimsy got a misfire bag, which could happen 1 out of a few hundred with any brand. I have n't broken mine in yet but when it arrived I was actually surprised that it was even stiffer than the ones we have at the MMA gym. I would definitely recommend this bag.

This heavy bag is worth every penny! Leather is always better and easier on your hands and shins when kicking which I do. The quality of the stitching on the whole bag and especially around the leather fasteners that hold the chains is superior to less expensive heavy bags. That is an important feature to me.
