It ’s very lightweight and easy to pack and carry and would be really easy to stash away in a tote bag or tie around my waist if needed. I usually wear a women ’s medium in tops, so the men ’s medium is a little big, but I prefer an oversized look for my jackets anyways. The body has a nice loose look but the sleeves are a little long on me, but again, I don ’ t mind it. I like the material which feels like the kind used in parachute pants, but it ’s not swishy and loud. What really stands out to me are little details like the chest pocket which has a stylish little buckle strap as well as a black embroidered Nike logo. These features are functional but also add a cool unique touch. I also love that the side pockets have zippers- I know this is a common feature in men ’s clothing but, believe it or not, not something I see a lot in women ’s clothing!! As a klutz who sometimes drops things, even from my pockets, this extra level of security is really helpful. MH's design is the best I 've found, and I hope they do n't change and will continue to offer this piece indefinitely, just in more colors. Purchased my Raven in Dusk last summer, and used it last fall, and getting a lot of use this spring for everyday outdoor use as advertised. It was my first purchase with the brand, and I love the jacket after years of never having a suitable transition jacket. Although I normally fit in size large, the medium fits great on me( 5' 9, 190lbs), with ample space for layering. I 'm from Ottawa, Canada and I 've found that the jacket excels in the 5C- 18C range, depending on conditions. With good layering like my down vest and/or merino base layers, I 've worn it down to 0C if there's not too much windchill, but around there I tend to switch to my Greenland Winter. Not much experience in anything more than light rain for short periods. Fit, fasteners, colour, and design/style are my favourite aspects of the jacket. Minor points, but a metal zipper and slightly lower collar without the hidden hood that I do n't expect to use would have made this jacket perfect, but it does n't bother me, and I look forward to many years of use!

I wear this on my windshieldless moto going 70- 89 mph and it does the job on windblocking. When it rained, it keep deflecting rain. I wear a merino thermal, my casual, moto protective shirt, and my thermal heated liner, which I do n't have to turn on the heated liner at these temps because of the windblocking and having gear insulate the heat inside. I love this field jacket; my favorite jacket. I want to buy a more expensive jacket here, but this one was beautiful to pass up. Its big for sure for my 5' 5 stature at Medium, but I have full range of motion with all my gear on underneath and that's awesome. Buy it! worth it!

Great jacket for those of us living in the Southeast US. was able to wear comfortably down to around 50 degrees F with only a lightweight cotton flannel shirt underneath. You can go much colder if you have a suitable insulation or base layer underneath. I bought in dusk for a classic style yet unique colorway that stands out among your standard olive or khaki surplus jackets. The G1000 softens up a bit with wear. Supposedly water resistant, but I would caution against wearing if more than a light sprinkle is in the forecast.

[ I just received this coat and was excited to get my trail dog out with it on. She is comfortable in the fit and is able to run around as if she was n't wearing it. I love the material. For sizing, I emailed ruffwear to ask what to do when your dog lies right on the middle between two sizes( for example my dog is 17 inches around the ribs and that is right between a size XXS and XS.) The ruffwear rep suggested sizing down and they were right! It is not too heavy that it would slow her down while hiking, backpacking, or mountain biking. And it is able to roll up nicely to be thrown in my pack if needed. My dog is a 2 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is small for her breed and fully grown at 10 pounds. I work as a climbing guide in Colorado, so my work takes me to a variety of locations and climates. My initial guess as to what the Keele would be like was similar to other grid fleeces: lightweight and flexible. The latter is more true than the former. This layer was surprisingly heavy- and I think that's fantastic. It presents a different layering option than other mid- layers that tend to strive to be light. The inner fabric is extremely soft, so it feels great next to skin. I was caught in a mild drizzle and the outer fabric did a great job beading water and not letting me get soaked. I 'm 5'10 '' 165 and it felt just a hair big on me. If it was colder( ice climbing or mountaineering) I would appreciate the room to layer. As the only mid- layer I was wearing it was just a slight bit big, but I did n't find that problematic at all.

I am a rock climbing guide who guides across Colorado and Utah and its important for me to have gear that works well, is durable and looks professional. I was excited for this hoody to arrive as it checked a lot of those boxes for me. The large fits ideally for me at 6' 2 '', 215lbs and long arms. I have a bit of an issue in the past with MHW sizing as it seemed I was right in between a L and XL but this jacket fits wonderfully. The waterproofing is functional if you are stuck in some light rain, as the water will bead right off. The brushed grid interior gives the hoody that cozy feel which means you 'll never want to take it off. It is a lot denser of a hoody than I was expecting but that's a positive in my books. I really think this hoody is for anyone who wants a full zip mid layer jacket but it will find itself at home the most in the backpacks of you Spring rock climbers!

I am a search and rescue volunteer and climbing wall instructor who spends my time in Arizona and Washington state. Working in a wide range of environmental conditions requires that my gear does the same. I ordered the Keele grid hoody as large, my usual size, and I found it fit true to size. The Keele hoody has performed exceptionally while climbing, traveling, and hiking. The recycled polyester double weave fabric is my favorite feature of the Keele. Its brushed back grid interior is soft and wicks moisture well while the DWR coating on the exterior provides durability and water resistance. Even when soaked through, the Keele kept me warm climbing in less- than- ideal conditions. The three- piece hood functions incredibly well and I found it fit over or under a climbing helmet. I have thoroughly enjoyed using the Keele and recommend it as a base or mid layer for nearly any outdoor endeavor.

You can never have too many midlayers! This statement is always true, and that is one of the many reasons the Keele Grid hoody is something you should get. This jacket actually surprised me a bit. I wasn ’ t quite sure what to expect but it is exactly as I ’ d hoped. I wanted a light jacket that would provide some coverage from the wind gusts as I reached peaks and summits during my hikes. This jacket does so well. It is not wind proof and does not advertise to be. It ’s a very light material and you can see light through it when held to a bulb. The stretch fabric feels wonderful. It may not be as stretchy as elastane but it is surprisingly stretchy given the texture of the jacket. The hood performs well and can be adjusted with two drawstrings and cinch cords. There is a small zipped chest pocket and two zipped hand pockets. I can access the chest pocket easily when wearing a pack. If I get too warm I just unzip the pockets and let the mesh liner ventilate some heat. The cuffs are elastic and I find they fit well. I have small wrists and they don ’ t fall up my arm. I love this jacket so much I own two. The Savanna color is exactly what I wanted, like a light olive and tan color. The jacket can be packed down very small. It can be packed into its own pocket but I ’ ve also found it easy to roll it into the hood. The weight is feather like but I ’ ve worn it a few times when carrying my pack and noticed zero durability issues thus far. I have also been using this in mild Autumn weather as an extra protective layer. I find when I wear this over my Keb Fleece Hoodie, it adds just enough extra warmth when needed. The jacket breathes exceptionally well. I find it comparable to the Ferrosi jacket, just with less synthetic materials. I am well pleased with the design of this jacket. I ’ m 5 ’ 10 ” 150lbs and could fit a small or medium. The small was very fitting but comfortable due to the stretch of the jacket. I went with a medium so I can layer under it as I want.

I really like this jacket so far. I am 6' 2 '' around 205- 210 and I bought the XL. I think this fits well if not a bit long in the arms. The jacket sleeves do down a bit past my knuckles and the back extends down pretty far, but its the perfect length to still have coverage on my back if I am bent forward( biking) or if I reach above my head. I guess that's what you want in a rain jacket, although if I lose a bit of weight I fear this jacket may become too baggy. The sleeves are velcro so they can be tightened in order to not droop down past your wrists.

Can pass as a shirt or a jacket. Surprised at how often I wear this and how warm it is. Pretty comfortable down to high 40s. Medium fits me well at 6 ’ 1 175 if I ’ m not layering anything underneath. Snap closure seems bomber

[ Good product. I especially like the material, which is not shiny or swooshy. Adequately warm and looks good. It is a little bit boxy, with extra room for a sweater underneath. That is my only gripe- could be cut a little more fitted

I 'm 170cm, 75kg athletic build with about a 40 inch chest. The size small fits me really nice. In most things I 'd usually be a size medium. There is also room for a hoody underneath.

Excellent jacket! I have been wearing Carhartt jackets for many years. It is very suitable for cold winters in Russia. American model range is better suited for extreme conditions. Jackets made for Europe are too `` soft ''.)

[ I bought this jacket with the upcoming Winter in mind replacing my previous ten years ’ old puffer. I can tell it ’s going to be warm enough for the E coast winter but what really blows my mi d is just how light it is. Whereas I ’ ve always had jackets that encumbered my movements and I ’ d simply got used to that fact, this jacket feels so incredibly light and form fitting that it ’s going to be a new experience for my winters. I love the fact it feels like a light jacket instead of a ‘ winter coat ’ and can ’ t wait to be wearing it daily very soon.
