It is very lightweight and does n't feel like anything when it's on but provides a surprising amount of warmth on chilly days. It was plenty warm enough for cool evenings and at high elevations. But the best feature of this jacket is the hood. The hood fits so well around your face and neck. This has become my favourite layer under my shell for cold winter hikes when its- 20 and the wind is blowing.

I love how Fjallraven implements 2- way zips on so many of their jackets as it really makes the jacket drape nicer when you sit down and can unzip the bottom a bit.( does n't do that awkward bunching up thing) I originally owned the hoodie version but found the hood a bit too small/tight to wear on my head and it bunched up the beard uncomfortably. When I saw they made a hood- less version this season, I was really interested. After taking it out on trek, can confirm it's great as always but I will say I 'm a bit dismayed at the removal of the chest pocket as that was another favorite feature of mine on the original model. Glad to be rid of the hood but sad the chest pocket has gone along with it.

I had so many questions about this jacket when buying online and not having the opportunity to try it on first. The first question was sizing bc I read reviews saying it was too big. I bought based on the actual measurements of the jacket. I have a medium that is 22 '' in the chest. I usually wear L or XL in women's clothes, I 'm happy w this choice bc the jacket is a little more fitted which is good given the weight and bulk. The other thing I wondered was whether it stretches. People said it was stiff, and it is. I 'm assuming it might loosen up w wear over time. There is some stretch in the jacket and it is the perfect amount to wear this jacket more fitted.

I ’ ve worn it.. a lot…in many weather situations and it still looks brand new! Regarding others reports that it is “ stiff ” …this is only relative to other, less robust fabrics. Example, I have the Kaitum jacket also, which is considerably lighter and more flexible but also isn ’ t quite as warm and wind impermeable. I found the sizing to be pretty true to size. I scored mine on an end of season sale and literally couldn ’ t be happier. Would ’ ve been worth every penny at full price! I wear this in winter with a long sleeve shirt and in fringe seasons and it rocks em all. I ’ d buy with confidence!

I ’ m a man of many shapes and sizes and the jacket really hides the fact that I was a military man. The thumb holes are subtle enough to be missed but once found it makes the jacket feel like one long fingerless glove. If I had kids I pass this to them. For now, this is mine.

This is a great item. It's warm, and a little heavier than a normal fleece, so it has some wind- stopping ability. However, I 'm a taller person( 6' 5 ''), and although the sleeves were a perfect length, the torso was too short. I had to return the jacket, and was extremely bummed that there was n't a XXL available for exchange.

I love the Buck Fleece. I got it in the Fall in the Laurel Green color and wore it all throughout the winter. One of my favorite features about it is the collar. It never loses its structure. It's a warm, cozy sweater but the collar, leather details of the logo and zipper, and the chest pocket all give it a nice look. It's a synthetic fill( prima loft) with a high warmth to weight ratio making it very packable. I also find that it is a bit dressier in appearance than comparable styles from other brands. The chest zipper pocket is quite big. I can fit my Iphone, keys a and a small wallet inside. The hip pockets are also deep enough that I can leave my phone in there while biking and not worry about it falling out. When it gets below 30 degrees, I switch over to my Keb Touring Down Jacket. I tend to run cold in body temperature.

I 've had this jacket for a couple months now; it's come along on a few great treks through the mountains and also been a great lightweight cold weather jacket on my walks to work in Boston. I recently took a trip to the Grand Canyon, in which we did an 11 mile hike with 3, 000 ft of elevation gain. That's when I really got to see the beauty of this jacket. The night before our trek it had snowed 6- 8 inches and the snow was still coming down as we were going out in the morning. It was about 28 degrees with wind chill but I knew as we descended the temps would rise to about 60 degrees. I layered up with my Singi Merino Henley as a base layer, a lightweight vest as my mid layer, the Keb Padded Hoodie as another mid layer, and then a shell as my outer layer for the precipitation that was still coming down. It did n't take long into the trek for me to start shedding layers but the Keb Padded Hoodie stayed on almost the entire time. It's lightweight and extremely breathable so even when the temps got to around 50 degrees I still found myself with this layer on. When I did decide to take it off, I only had a 9 liter pack on my back so it's packability came in extremely handy. I would highly recommend this jacket for every day use and for trekking. It's a necessity for me on any trek that requires a jacket layer.

I love the new Quantum hoodie! It was time to replace my vintage Quantum from the first year Icebreaker made them, and I wanted to buy last year's model. However, there were so many complaints about the zipper that I decided to pass. I saw that the Quantum IV had a new zipper, so I bought `` tang '' colored one in a medium. I 'm 5' 6 '', 137, and the medium is the perfect fit! It hugs my curves but is not tight, it is a nice slightly longer length, and the lack of elastic at the bottom hem allows it to rest perfectly on my lower hips without riding up every time I bend over. The zipper is easy to use and it's lightweight, so when you unzip the jacket a quarter of the way down, the collar sits perfectly( sometimes a heavy zipper will weigh down one side of a collar). Lastly, the weight of the jacket is the perfect indoor weight for winter, and a nice outdoor weight for spring, fall, and summer evenings. I 'm so glad I bought this jacket- the color is beautiful! As expensive as it is, I actually ordered the black as well! A fantastic hoodie!!

I got this top a month ago I 've worn it running many times in temps between 35 and 50 with a silk weight tee shirt or base layer. The fit is great and it's surprisingly warm for it's very light weight. I 'm 6' tall and weigh 180, large fits me perfectly. I find the neck when zipped all the way up to be slightly tight, not enough to really bother me but in a perfect world I 'd add a 1/2 '' to it.

I often prefer men's styles due to the straight cut without the flared out hips that most women's shirts/sweaters tend to have. I wear this hoodie as my jacket when temps are on the warmer side and as a mid layer under a jacket when temps are on the colder side. I will say it's very warm though. I can usually get away with wearing it in the low 50s to high 60's as my outer layer. I 'm a 5' 5 '', 110 lb female with a straight/slim build and I wear the XS. The sleeves are a tad long for me but I 'm used to it since I wear mostly men's clothing. I usually just cuff them back a little. I 'm also a big fan of the G1000 reinforcements from the elbow to the wrist. It's a nice look and gives the sweater extra durability. The leather logo/ending to the drawstrings is a nice touch too.

I bought a 2nd Factor Hoody after wearing my first one almost daily for a year. I wear this when backpacking, hiking, bummin' around town, skiing... it's the perfect mid- layer. Someone told me this is BD's version of the R1... I can see that, but I like these a little better. I like that they 're somewhat form- fitting. zippers are quality. Hood is snug enough to fit underneath a ski or climbing helmet and will keep your noggin warm on cool nights. Slept in this a couple times too. What more can I say
