[ This is a great hunting jacket. I wanted an tough outside lawyer to withstand the thicket, block wind and rain, and allow me to wear layers. This is perfect for that purpose. Also, I 've read a few reviews about how some do not like how the zipper goes up too high, but that really is n't a problem. In fact, I 'm heavy wind or extremely cold weather, I see it as a plus because you can close up more, but if it is uncomfortable just do n't zip all the way way up( common sense).

[ Im a size 4/6 and 5 foot 2 and the small fits well. The sleeves do have extra room so you could easily wear extra layers under this. I bought this for future travel to England. It is a blend of sporty with some style. It ’s not as fancy or tailored as a traditional trench but the waterproof fabric is much more practical. I would call this more of a stylish rain jacket.

It is beautiful in person and it gives both fashionable and functional. I love the buttons on this coat and the bungee inside gives you more of a fitted look. You can easily dress this trench coat up or down. I ’ m planning on wearing this during my Alaska trip to layer on top during those wet rainy days. It seems very well insulated and breathable. I would suggest sizing down from your normal size. It already gives a bit of an oversized fit. If I wear it with the Chubbies comfort hoodie the arms are super tight. Fits much better with the movementum thin hoodie. I am 217lbs 6ft tall. I got in size large. I have been waiting for a hooded version of a packable puffer that was still cute, and after enjoying other Halfdays products for skiing, I was excited when I saw this in their spring collection this year. This jacket arrived several weeks ago and has been great for everything I 've thrown at it! It has kept me warm, dry, and cute on rainy commutes to work, mulching my garden, and taking my dog on a field trip to our local forest preserves. It has been comfortable in temps as low as 35 and as high as 65 or so for me, personally. I love how lightweight it is, and that is compacts down if it warms up during the day and I need to pack it away for my commute home. It is also roomy enough for layering underneath, and I enjoy the big pocket for storage in the back. 10/10 would recommend.

I love how it packs into itself and even turns into a pillow( seriously genius for flights or road trips). One of the best parts of this jacket is how well it holds up in gusty conditions. Even without layering heavily, I could feel noticeably less wind- chill than with my old softshell. Very happy with that. The hand pockets are secure, the sleeve pocket is handy for small stuff, and mesh pocket bags help with breathability. The drawcord hem and elastic cuffs let me tighten things up nicely when wind picks up.

I ’ ve had this coat for a few weeks now and I love it. It ’s dreamily warm, looks fantastic and the pack down feature it really going to be great for travel. It has even performed perfectly on walks in temperatures well below freezing. I ’ m just over 5 ’ 6 ” and 150 lbs, athletic build and medium works well. It was slightly larger than what I thought it would be, as I am hoping to use it under a waterproof layer soon, but the small would likely have been too small. Still thinking it will work as a mid layer when I need it to.

I had so many questions about this jacket when buying online and not having the opportunity to try it on first. The first question was sizing bc I read reviews saying it was too big. I bought based on the actual measurements of the jacket. I have a medium that is 22 '' in the chest. I usually wear L or XL in women's clothes, I 'm happy w this choice bc the jacket is a little more fitted which is good given the weight and bulk. The other thing I wondered was whether it stretches. People said it was stiff, and it is. I 'm assuming it might loosen up w wear over time. There is some stretch in the jacket and it is the perfect amount to wear this jacket more fitted.

I ’ ve had this amazing jacket for 3 years now so I feel qualified to review it. It is, as are all Fjallraven products, built to heirloom, durable quality. I ’ ve worn it.. a lot…in many weather situations and it still looks brand new! Regarding others reports that it is “ stiff ” …this is only relative to other, less robust fabrics. Example, I have the Kaitum jacket also, which is considerably lighter and more flexible but also isn ’ t quite as warm and wind impermeable. I found the sizing to be pretty true to size. I scored mine on an end of season sale and literally couldn ’ t be happier. Would ’ ve been worth every penny at full price! I wear this in winter with a long sleeve shirt and in fringe seasons and it rocks em all. I ’ d buy with confidence!
