I ’ m 5 ’ 4 ” and 120 lbs, and the XS fits really well. The waistband is a bit snug going over the hips, but once it ’s on, it feels firm and supportive, which I like. The best way to describe the fabric is to compare it to the Athleta brand I also wear. The Athleta brand has a buttery soft feel, a bit slick, thinner feeling fabric, and I do love them. By comparison, the Calia fabric for this legging has a slightly course, thicker feel, making it a bit warmer with a more substantial feel, which I also love. And when I say “ course ”, I should clarify that it is still a very soft fabric and you won ’ t be disappointed. Both are great in their own way, and I wear either depending on what I ’ m doing.

These are great! I bought a few pairs because they had the side pocket, and then ordered more because the fit and feel is amazing. I always worry about leggings being too thin, but these are not. These were the best for our recent salt water flats trip! They were perfectly light and comfortable even after getting wet. They dried quickly and were my choice to wear for the whole week. My only issue was that they were a little short, leaving a chunk of my ankle exposed in the sun. It was an easy fix with taller socks though.

I will say that they do fit a little big from the waist, considering that I am usually a M and fit nicely without squeezing my bump at 8 months pregnant. This set is overall one of the best winter base layer fits I ’ ve had the chance to try out in the elements( as of yet). The fleecy layer inside isn ’ t too thick, so it will keep you decently warm while not feeling overly constricting( it won ’ t ruin or take away from your outfit either). If I was to give constructive feedback on anything, it would be that they are a little short in length( mind you, I ’ m 5 ’ 11 ”). So, I ’ m really not picky about that kind of thing( for leggings in particular). Especially as they do have a bit of stretch. I would say that they are relatively true to size, maybe size down if you ’ re on the more petite side of the spectrum.
