[ This is a great hunting jacket. I wanted an tough outside lawyer to withstand the thicket, block wind and rain, and allow me to wear layers. This is perfect for that purpose. Also, I 've read a few reviews about how some do not like how the zipper goes up too high, but that really is n't a problem. In fact, I 'm heavy wind or extremely cold weather, I see it as a plus because you can close up more, but if it is uncomfortable just do n't zip all the way way up( common sense).

[ I purchased the prior version of this jacket in Real Tree Hardwoods in 2016 and used it to harvest my first turkey. That jacket lasted 7 hunting seasons( spring and fall) and is still usable but the camo is fading so I bought this jacket as a replacement. I used it the first time for deer this fall. This jacket appears just as durable as my 2016 jacket, but appears to also have water resistance features as an added bonus. With a wool base layer and long sleeve T underneath, the jacket should be ok for a long sit down to 45 degrees. For colder weather, just add a down vest. This is probably a roomy medium. I 'm a true medium( 5'10 '', 160lbs) and the medium in this jacket gives you room to layer, but it's not so big as to let wind come up the waist elastic. I own quite a bit of hunting clothes from some big name competitors, but Carhartt has always been my favorite go- to. My only suggestion for improvement is for Carhartt to expand the line. Make Yukon Extremes in hunting pattern! Expand the types of camo patterns. Build it and they will come.

These were gifts for family members. They fit well and looked great. My granddaughter is about 5 ’ 7, slender, and the black medium Carhartt bibs( item 104049BLK) fit her well. The brown Carhartt bibs fit my 5 ’ 3 ” daughter- in- law well. I ordered her medium- short( item 104694BRN). They have horses and want to keep warm while cleaning up after and caring for them. The bibs did keep them warm while working and were loose enough to bend, shovel, etc. They are happy with them.

This is the REAL DEAL folks! the outside is tough fabric and the inside is nice and cozy. Looks like all the other work jackets but with added HEAT! if you work outside all winter, you HAVE TO GET THIS!!!! Helps all day on the job site, especially with 2 extra batteries for safe keeping The button is in a great place for easy control, and just pressing and holding it down turns it on and off. This is a serious raincoat. The material is thick and sturdy, I like the brim on the hood and the heavy duty zippers. I like all the pockets( inside and out), the double cuffs( it has elastic cuffs inside the coat's outer cuffs- which I thought was a great idea), and the funnel neck collar. I 've spent more than this on a rain coat from a high- end outdoor company for a trip to the Pacific Northwest and it was a total fail. I have every confidence that had I had this raincoat for that trip, I would have had no problems. I 've been reading a lot of newer Carhartt reviews that complain that Carhartt is moving more towards fashionable clothes rather than durable clothes that perform- I 'm happy to report that this is NOT one of those pieces. It's a great quality coat that I am confident will last me for several years and keep me dry in the mightiest downpour. As to sizing: I typically wear a medium in Carhartt's women's tops and a medium or large in general clothing, depending on the cut. I wandered into the men's section for this one because I liked the color selection better on this side of the room( the olive/moss green color is really nice.) So, to any of the ladies out there who may be reading this: this is a men's coat- it IS boxy coat. I 'm keeping the medium because I 'm leaving for a trip in three days and I need a raincoat, but if I had the luxury of time, I would probably exchange it for a men's small. It's not egregiously large, maybe just 50% larger than I would normally wear. As it is, there's plenty of room for layers underneath and the arms are quite large, and has ample room in the shoulder. But it's a men's coat. So... that's to be expected. I think it will last me for years and years. I 'm very happy with it!
