I wear these over my compression base layer. They are perfect lightweight fabric that is extremely stretchy while not getting heavy once saturated with sweat. They dont restrict movement at all. I have n't gotten to wear these out yet, but from trying them I think they 're going to be great for the summer! I work outside, and finding comfortable shorts that are n't too short is definitely tricky. I would suggest sizing down, based on the size chart I needed a 2X, but I tried on the XL in store and they have PLENTY of room. They have a 6 '' inseam, which is a little longer than I usually like, but will still be comfortable. Rated durability a 3 because I have n't really put them to the test yet.
