[ I switched from a old college backpack after I acquired too much gear… This bag is 1000% worth the price. The duffle style opening makes it extremely accessible all day while you ’ re at the crags

5 Dodo
[ Overall, this backpack is great. It fits an 80m rope, two helmets, plenty of quickdraws, shoes, harness and more( although its a tight fit with all of those things). The backpack design is good, and i like that the front of the backpack is what touches the ground, not the side that goes on your back. My only complaint is that the backpack is very simple- there are no loops to clip stuff onto, or pockets for waterbottles, which is a bit annoying if you need to hike a bit. Overall a fantastic bag, especially for the price!!

[ This is great for all your climbing essentials! Easy to pack and unpack. Great design. Love the fold out mat to keep all your climbing gear safe from ground debris

[ This is an awesome rope bag for the gym, and crag. I used this bag carry a 70mm rope, shoes, chalk bag, Grigri, change of clothers, snacks, and there are still room to carry extra stuff. I highly recommend this bag.

[ Bought this as a gift for a friend and he very much likes it. He also does n't have to borrow mine any longer. This is exactly what I wish I woupdve bought myself years ago, the tarp comes ou easily in the center and the handles on the corners make it super easy to shift over a few feet at the crag. Comfy on the back and holds all the essentials with a 60m rope.

[ I bought this pack not too long ago and have only taken it out once, but I have no complaints so far. The material and build quality seem to be durable. In my pack I can fit my shoes( on the outside), harness, a 70m rope, belay devices, anchor materials, and a helmet with some room to spare. I can also put smaller items( keys and phone) in the large brain on top of the pack. I would assume if you fully optimized space, you could additionally put clothes on the bottom of your pack or add draws. I also love how this pack can transfer the weight onto your hips and really support whatever you packed. Overall, I 'm really happy with my purchase!

[ Had this crag bag for a couple weeks now. Roomy. Holds my 60 m rope, QuickDraws, water and lunch. Especially like the mesh pocket on the outside for shoes and lid bag for phone, snacks and even a small zippered pocket for keys/wallet. Nothings getting lost at the crag. We ’ ll balanced with the rope in the bottom and waist belt on. Makes those treks to the crag less daunting.

[ A simple, rock- centric piece of equipment. The size is perfect for a day of cragging or multi pitch routes. The shape and design make it super easy to load and unload. It's streamlined without all the fussy straps and buckles that typically get hung up in tight approaches or hauling. No ice axe loops either, this is a pure rock pack. I like that the main compartment is accessed with only one top zipper... there's no reason to have a zillion ways to get inside a 40L bag. I can load it with a large rack and webbing, a rope, water bottle and jacket with room to spare. It feels solid on my back, and carries great. The top compartment is roomy, and also accessible with a single zipper, and there is a realistically- sized zippered pocket for iPhone and/or keys. The waterproof outer material seems bomber, and built like a tank, except for the webbing strap on the waist belt which seems a bit thin, but no big deal. The waist belt itself is sturdy enough and includes small gear loops on each hip. The included mini tarp is a thoughtful touch, though I personally wish it were larger. Outside mesh pockets for shoes and chalk bag are a nice convenience. There are other similar packs out there, but this one was a big bang for the buck. Lastly, it's cool looking, I get compliments all the time.

[ I ’ ve had this for a few weeks now. I love that it fits my 60m rope, draws, three pairs of shoes, harness, and any other misc gear. Very comfortable with the waist straps. They really transfer the load from your shoulders to your hips. I haven ’ t used it outside to test durability yet. Love the shoe pouch as well. Good features, large, comfortable, and great price.

[ My old crag pack which had survived 10 years of hard use, multiple trips through the desert and a bear attack in the Adirondacks was finally in need of replacement. I ordered one of these and it seems really nice but the new “ one size ” is useless if you ’ re less than 5 ’ 8 ”. I had to return it.

[ I ’ ve used this bag for years and it is indestructible. I left a banana in it for weeks and the smell was destructive to my nose. Had to clean it many times before the smell went away. It ’s sill like new on the inside. It does not have a strap or method to lash a rope on the outside. It ’s a haul bag but also a crate pack for me. I would like that option. So i bought a BD creek 50. Regarding. Comfort, it ’s not. It ’s a haul bag with shoulder straps and removable waist belt. I do love it. It has lasted with no damage in the rock environment. If this pack suits your needs, you won ’ t regret it. It ’s. Haul bag first and a backpack last..

[ I have 2 of these issued to me for rope access work and they 're bomber! I just had to purchase one for my personal rope set and gear. Simple, easy, and durable!

[ I was looking for a crag bag that could also be used to haul gear on a 2 day big wall. The Quarter Dome rides the fine line I was looking for between massive and agile handling. I can fit all my trad/aid gear inside and have a little extra room.

5 Dominic
[ as my climbing knowledge and direction continues to improve, I required to purchase a larger more practical store for all my climbing gear. The Metolius Quarterdome is generous in space allowing for storage packs if required, its weight is tolerable for its size. I had searched for a relatively practical sized bag whereby the Quarterdome was the correct fitment for my needs. Metolius make larger and smaller sizes in similar to the Quarterdome and will cater for any required service need. I 'm certain this bag will be in continuous use and look forward with excitement to be part of this amazing beautiful sport of climbing

[ I bought this bag a few weeks ago and have been able to take it to a few crag sessions. So far, the bag has performed great! I have been able to fit all of my gear, rope, water, clothes and lunch with ease. Solid outer construction looks like it will stand up to a beating but have not been able to test that yet. A nice feature is that it stands upright independently which makes loading it easier. The shoulder straps and waist strap are also pretty confortable, more so than I was expecting for the type of bag this is. Not quite as comfortable as my backpacking pack, but I would n't expect this from the collapsible and stowable straps. Overall, I am very happy with this bag and would recommend it to someone looking for a good crag bag. Probably a little small for a big wall but honestly have not tried it for that.

[ I bought this bag a month ago and basically have been using it to pack all of my camping/ climbing gear since I got it. It hauls pretty well on steep terrain but can be strenuous on less vertical rock. Definitely would recommend to help get you out there and have everything you need.
